jacksonyikes:
jack had to drag himself up outta his queen sized bed that morning. he knew from the annoyance he already felt at his alarm that he was going to have a bad day – it was confirmed when he looked at his alarm clock and he was already running late – he was just grateful he had showered before bed, he pulled on some tight joggers, a plain tee and a zip through hoodie and styled his hair before rushing out of his door, only just remembering to lock it behind him.
It was the first day back and he was already late – he walked into his lecture theatre, slumped down in a seat at the back, pulling out his MacBook to attempt to stay awake and take notes – when another latecomer, a rather tousled but charming, late comer arrived and sat next to him, turning to him asking about statistics – he was certain this was a performing arts lecture on the history of something he didn’t care about. “I’m pretty sure it’s not – fuck.” jack whispered loudly. “they’ve changed the rooms for the new semester, haven’t they?” he spoke to the other lad. he looked down at the board at the front of the room, reading “the laws of thermodynamics 101″ off the board. “I think we’re both in the wrong place.” he shrugged, pointing out the class title on the board to the guy next to him. “i say we ditch and go get coffee – I am dying.”
he exchanged a glance with the other young man, then looked toward the chalkboard the old grumpy professor was situated in front of, groaning and running a hand through his messy hair. “you’re kidding- i barely made it here and it’s the wrong class?” he questioned. it was rhetorical, and mostly just directed to himself. he usually never ran late for anything, and it bugged him when he was- sometimes a little more than it should.
“well, i guess class today was a lost cause.” he chuckled, looking over towards jack. “coffee sounds really good right about now. i could use something with like twelve shots of espresso.” he joked, tossing his book precariously back into his backpack and slinging the bag onto his shoulder. he led the way out of the classroom, both of them earning a few glares for distracting the class from whatever boring material that was being covered in thermodynamics 101.
delaneymatthews:
Delaney’s focus was dimming, it was an early class and she’d up particularly late the night before researching. The last couple of night’s she’d been attending to her best friend, keeping them in good steads. So her amount of sleep was far less than she was used to. Just as her eyes were struggling to stay open, the lecture hall door sounds. Pulling her from her fast approaching sleep.
She watched as the male made his way over the empty seat next to her. “Sorry,” She felt immediately bad, it was an easy mistake to make. Or that’s how she felt with her lack of sleep this morning. “I’m tired today, but not enough to be in the wrong place. This is theatre practitioners.”
“shit” he whispered. he put his statistics book back into his bag, knowing he wouldn’t need it, a small huff of frustration escaping his lips. “well this class sounds a lot more interesting than my statistics class.” he added, folding his arms across his chest and allowing himself to find a more comfortable position in his seat. there was no use in leaving to go to his class, he would only be walking in even later than planned, and there was probably only another half hour left.
“so are you an actress? should i get your autograph now so it’s worth millions when you become famous?” he teased, chuckling. he knew she probably wasn’t interested in humoring him, since she was probably trying to pay attention.
polishgoblin:
Mik is settled into his seat with a more than bored expression set to his features. It’s sort of a wonder he’s even shown up to class considering his total aversion to doing anything productive these days, but if he doesn’t want to draw his father’s ire, this is part of the deal of what he needs to do. Heaving a burdened sigh, he turns his head to look around, noticing a boy coming in late and heading towards one of the only empty seats beside him. He raises his brows just a fraction, nothing too noticeable, and he shifts his position a bit for further comfort.
It’s only when he asks his question that Mik realizes his opportunity for entertainment, and one corner of his mouth curves up in a small smirk. “No it is not. Are you new?” He doesn’t ask it unkindly — polite interest and perhaps a willingness to help.
his brows furrowed as he let out a frustrated sigh. he wasn’t mad at the other person, only angry with himself. he slumped into his chair and shook his head. “no, just an idiot.” he murmured, glancing around the lecture hall. he was silently debating on whether or not he wanted to leave. he already interrupted the class once with his entrance, and he was far too embarrassed the first time to go through with it all over again.
“i guess i should’ve stopped hitting the snooze on my alarm after the first time.” he chuckled, one hand reaching up to rub his temples.
Do you have feelings for anyone?
“nope. nothing more than some platonic friendships.”
What’s one thing you can’t seem to get over?
“i don’t think i’d prefer to share. let’s just say i’ve done some things i kind of regret.”
describe your ideal partner
“i don’t know. i guess i’m not too picky; as long as they care about me and are honest with me, i would probably trust them to be my significant other.”
“i also have a thing for brunettes...”
What’s three things you want to do before you die?
“i want to see the grand canyon, and maybe go camping while i’m there. the second would probably raise a kid so i can give it more than my dad gave me. and lastly, i’d want to meet trey and play basketball with him tomorrow.”
3 big dreams.
“i want to finish school, kind of to prove to myself and my parents that this wasn’t a waste. i want to be able to support myself and also give back to my mom. i think i owe her that much. and even more, she’s the reason i’m even here.”
he knew arriving to his class on time was a pipe dream, especially since he slept through his alarm twice. nonetheless, he still tried his best to speed-walk his way through campus, dodging fellow students left and right until he made it to the building his class was in.
“excuse me, sorry.” he murmured as he slid past people in the back row of the lecture hall, trying not to draw a lot of attention, taking the last available seat and plopping down into it, whipping out his notebook. he finally relaxed slightly, but looked around the room a little confused-he didn’t see anyone he recognized. “hey is this statistics 3001?” he asked the person sitting beside him. he mentally face palmed himself, wondering how he always managed to get himself in these awkward situations, completely embarrassed.
hey friends, it’s your girl allie; finally bringing in another mun to the rp! this is baby ryker, and he’s a sophomore studying accounting at atlantic view. i’m not completely sure what kind of connections i want with him just yet, but i’m open to anything! message me if you’d like to plot!! (there’s probably a lot more to come, this is a really basic bio.)
-ryker beckham was born and raised in cleveland, ohio by his parents jonathan and isabella beckham.
-his dad wasn’t the best, being a drug dealer/user. but his mom worked two different jobs throughout his childhood in attempts to support the small family. he was used to making something out of nothing, and didn’t mind growing up without much because he knew how hard his mom worked.
-when he got into high school, he began to like the idea of going to college; but didn’t want to put the burden on his parents (more specifically his mom) to go to school.
-his solution was to begin driving getaway vehicles for robberies with one of his dad’s colleagues.
-he def regrets his decision, because he now spends a lot of his time being cautious and a little jumpy; fearing that the men he worked for are going to force him back into driving for them. (lowkey baby driver if you’ve seen that movie)
-he tries to be a tough cookie even though he is #smol
-takes him a while to open up, but is a total sweetheart once you get to know him
