“hm, it does make me feel slightly better.” she replied and added, “it gives me hope that the show loses viewer count due to how boring we all are - therefore, the show gets cancelled.” violet sighed, “what did they expect anyway? - that we are as wild as we were back in the day, that we never moved on and grew up? that making a career, and/or making families outside ‘this world’ couldn’t been on the cards for us?” she sighed once again, before sarcastically adding to the end of her rant “you can see i’m thrilled to be back.”

“That’s what I’m keeping my fingers crossed for as well.” Joey admitted as he looked at the girl. “Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to see everyone and be all together, but I think the initial excitement of being in this scenario again has worn off already,” he explained with another shrug. Listening to her, he let out a breathy chuckle at her words. “It doesn’t sound like the greatest of ideas when you put it like that. Hopefully they’re realising how stupid it sounds out loud,” he commented and glanced up at one of the cameras for a moment before looking at Violet again. “Oh, yeah. You’re giving off all the thrilled vibes. You need to calm yourself!” he joked with a small laugh.

Dax had hoped everyone would come back at some point or another. Like a huge family reunion with the booze, fights and make-ups. However, he knew that wasn’t always the case and so a huge part of him was hesitant to return with everyone. Turning to see Joey, his smile brightened up immediately. It had been a while since the two had spoken last. “I definitely meant it as such.” Dax agreed with a laugh. “I’m good man. Like, really good. What about you?”

“Good. I’d be offended otherwise,” he laughed as well, shaking his head in amusement. “I’m glad to hear that! You seem excited to be back.” Joey commented with a smile as he looked at Daxton. He was glad to see that some people were glad to be here. At least it was going to make things a bit easier. “I’m good too! I’m excited for everyone to be back together again. It’ll be good to see everyone, despite the slightly unfortunate circumstances,” he told him.

“Hey, Joey!” Blue smiled at her friend, walking over to give him a hug. “I know it’s been awhile, but I’ve been good! How about you?” She asked him with a hint of excitement in her voice from having missed her friend.

Wrapping his arms around the girl when she approached him, Joey smiled widely and nodded. “I’m so glad to hear it!” he told her genuinely, looking down at her. “I’ve been good too. It’s so crazy being back in here, right? I was never expecting to get that call.”

“I guess they’re hoping they’ll toon in for curiosity or something and hopefully stay? I have to say I’ll be surprised if they’ll call us back again.” He shrugged a little though in truth he wasn’t sure how the show would be received at all. “I’ve also been very busy” he nodded with his reply, “are you still teaching?” He asked trying to remember if he’d heard differently or even if he got things mixed up, but he was pretty sure he was right. “Aw, bro I’m happy about that. He must be in school now, yeah?”

“Yeah, that’s a point. I’d be interested to see a reboot as well. Hopefully the ratings aren’t as good as they were hoping for and we’re not here too long.” Joey replied with a small nod. “I’m still teaching, yeah! Not as much as I was, I’m only doing it three or four days a week now, but I still love it. What are you up to nowadays?” he asked curiously, not having kept up with what everyone was doing with their lives now. “He literally just started these past few months! That was a big step. But he loves it. He’s made all his little friends and everything. Never stops talking about how his teacher is way better than me,” he laughed.

It was quite odd to be back in the house, the place where he met the love of his life. But he wasn’t going to complain, as long as he had Joey by his side he could handle anything. “How are you holding up?” he asked softly, kissing his arm as he closed his eyes.

A sigh leaving his lips as he lay there in a world of his own, Joey was only brought back to reality when he heard Clemente speak to him. Turning his head to look at him, he smiled softly and shrugged. “As good as you’d expect, I suppose,” he mused lowly. “It’s weird being back, isn’t it? I didn’t expect it to be this hard, to be honest. I figured it’d be fine because we’ve done this before and we’re all used to it.”

“Right?” Logan huffed, “you’d think they’d alright done it to death by now right? Apparently not?” He sighed, “how have you been anyway, man? It’s been a while since we bumped into each other.” He said with a small smile at the other. “How’s your son?”

“And with so many other reality shows, I didn’t think people would be interested in revisiting one that aired years ago.” Joey replied with a shake of his head. “I’ve been good, though, yeah. Super busy! How have you been? It honestly seems like forever,” he said, smiling back at Logan. “Remus is great. He’s such a great kid. Cheeky as anything, but he’s great.”

It had been years since he’d been on this show and honestly? He thought people would have forgotten about it now. New reality shows came out all the time and Dax had assumed that one would have replaced this just as fast as this show replaced the one before. However, he couldn’t say he wasn’t excited to get back. Most people wouldn’t be excited about having to stay in the house throughout the week, having their phones taken, or having their time using basic everyday items restricted. However, they weren’t Daxton and he’d always had a soft spot for the show, especially since it introduced him to some of the most important people in his life and so, yeah, he was excited to be back. Walking into the kitchen where he assumed everyone would be, the boy readied himself for who he was going to see. “What’s up, losers?” He greeted them, a small but cheeky smile spreading across his face.

The bigger part of Joey didn’t want to be back in the house; he wanted to be in the real world doing his real job and being with his family. A lot had changed since being in the house the last time, and he knew that this time around, it was going to be so, so much tougher on him. That being said, there was a small part of him that was excited to be back, to see everyone again. But he wasn’t sure how long that excitement would last. Fixing himself something to drink, Joey turned around and smiled when he heard Daxton’s voice, a chuckle leaving him in response. “After seeing the IT movies, I’m taking loser as a compliment,” he replied with another chuckle. “How are you, man? Long time no see!”

“It’s almost like I never left..” Blue said to herself as she blew a few strands of hair from her eyes and finished unpacking. She hadn’t planned on returning to the show but of course her contract had said otherwise. Her eyes wandered the room, wondering who she’d be rooming with this time as she heard someone approach the doorframe, turning in their direction over her shoulder.

Joey had began to explore the house, having just arrived an hour or two ago, then getting distracted by catching up with some of the other housemates. He’d eventually made his way upstairs, poking his head around the doors, partly to be nosy and partly to see if anyone else had arrived without him realising. Seeing Blue in one of the rooms he’d walked in to, a smile pulled at his lips. “Oh hey!” he greeted, his voice perking up a bit. “Long time no see. How you doing?”

“how did we used to do this?!” violet called out loud to the house from her position at the top of the stairs, hoping at least one of the other residents would reply. sitting down, violet leaned her head against the wall and stretched her legs across the top step. it hadn’t even been a week and the boredom was already taking its toll, and her old routine of eating, drinking, bathing and reading had stopped working. “any suggestions on treating boredom would be appreciated.” she called out once again.

“I have literally no idea.” Joey said and shook his head, a defeated sigh falling from his lips, despite having been back in the house less than a week. His now busy life outside of the house had made him forget just how boring his time on the show could be, and he hadn’t been expecting it to be hitting him as hard as it had already. Looking up at the top of the stairs where Violet was sitting, he let out a small hum and made his way slowly up to join her, sitting down on the stairs a few steps below her. “I’ve been struggling as well, if it makes you feel any better,” he commented, offering her a single shrug. “I think everyone has been.”

Logan couldn’t believe it when he got the call. How did his lawyers at the time of him signing that stupid contract not let him know about this clause? He was pissed off that he was back here, after finally settling into a somewhat normal life. Leaving his suitcase by the stairs he strides into hall in search of the kitchen, swiftly finding it and sighing as he reached for the fridge dragging out the cartoon of orange juice, pouring it and sarcastically toasting up to the camera in the upper corner of the room before waiting for any of his old friends. Ready for the final round of bullshit that was likely to ensue.

To say the phone call had come as a shock to Joey was more than an understatement. For some reason, he’d never come across the clause in the contract that he was now kicking himself for have missing. It had taken him a few days to come to terms with what was about to happen, and walking through the doors of the house knowing all too well what was about to happen gave him a sensation of anxiousness he couldn’t quite describe. A sigh left his lips as he placed his bags down, his eyes locking onto the suitcase by the stairs, thankful that someone else was here, and thankful that said person would at least be a familiar face and know what he was going through. Taking a quick glance around the rooms of the ground floor, he eventually came to the kitchen where he saw Logan, a small, empathetic smile pulling at his lips. “I didn’t think there would be much more footage they could get out of us.” Joey announced as he glanced over at the other man. “I mean, pretty much everything thinkable has happened on this damn show.”

“There is no need to thank me, babe” he said and chuckled, shaking his head.

Watching him, he smiled and nodded again. “Is there anything I can do to help?”

Sighing softly, he smiled as he looked at him. “I believe you. I see no lies in your eyes” he whispered and kissed his knuckles.

Smiling at the kisses, Joey hummed. “I would never lie to you,” he whispered.

“I don’t really have a reason to stop, my dear. It makes you happy, I can see it in your eyes” he said and smiled. “Of course I am making you some”

Looking at him, he smiled and nodded. “It does,” he whispered before he chuckled. “Thank you!”

Staying silent for a few minutes, he then smiled. “When did you know that what you felt towards me was love?”

Tilting his head, he smiled. “Would you believe me if I said straight away?” Joey asked. “Because I knew from the second I saw you.”

Looking down into her lap, Trinity pulled at a lose thread on her jeans. “I don’t really want to talk about it.” The girl admitted. “I’m fine though, really.” She added, though it wasn’t hard to tell that wasn’t the truth. “It’s either one or the other around here, isn’t it? Either full of drama or not at all.” She giggled lightly. “It’s strange.”

“Okay.” Joey agreed with a single nod of his head, not wanting to push her into talking about anything she didn’t want to. He could tell she wasn’t telling the truth, but still didn’t push the topic. “It seems to be that way, yeah. We can never find a middle ground,” he chuckled.
