Easy on the heavy thoughts

hey there, you made it - welcome to the inside of my head. i wouldn't necessarily call this poetry, more just little blurbs of what i'm feeling in that moment

let me be sad

why is it so hard to snap out of this sad feeling

“count your blessings” they say

easier said than done

i’m by no means ungrateful, i understand i’m fortunate

that doesn’t mean i can’t be sad sometimes

i sit and i wait

i stare off into space

“why hasn’t he called me back?”

“did i say something wrong” 

i look at my phone again - nothing

the bad thoughts are starting to take over

“i’m always the problem, i did it again, there goes another one”
