#thinking about this for no real reason I just think everything about it is insane #like first of all I can picture roger's joking/teasing “Do you know why this guy doesn't want to practice with me?”#so clearly. like done with all the intention of playfully embarrassing rafa because it's 2005 and roger already has caught #onto the fact that at this point rafa worships him #+ the fact that it's very clear Selmi told roger that rafa was too scared/shy to ask roger himself to practice with him #and so roger clearly delighted went “oh I can tease him about this”#and all this even though this was when their h2h was 2-1 to rafa and rafa had just won rg after beating roger in the semifinals #truly an insane time in rafa's career and he's leading the h2h against a guy who's already being talked about as the potential greatest #of all time. but he's so shy that he can't even ask roger directly to practice with him.#and then their rivalry got so insane and intense so quickly that after this roger actively avoided practicing with him #for his whole career and they never did actually get that practice. all because rafa got injured early at wimbledon that year.#(no the 1 or 2 filmed practices for promo purposes don't count)#if rafa hadn't been injured and they'd had that practice would they have continued practicing together from then on? or would roger #still have deemed it off limits because of their “intense” rivalry?#and if they'd practiced at wimbledon as planned would their wimbledon trilogy in the three years immediately after have been the same?#or would they even have happened at all?

you know, I could make a lot of fedal posts and get a lot of notes if I started posting other people's gifs as my own. but I don't do that because I'm not an asshole. and I find the people who reblog those posts as frustrating as the people who post the stolen gifs in the first place.

anyway, if you post any fedal gifsets — your own fedal gifs that you made — feel free to tag me in the post and I will reblog it. I want to reblog more gifs here but I often miss new posts because I'm not here that often. and I think gifmakers here deserve better than stolen gifs getting more attention than original posts.

funniest example of rafa and roger not communicating is roger saying in 2020 during match for africa that rafa only just told him "today" that he cried when he watched roger win RG in 2009, meanwhile during this interview in spanish in 2010 where roger and rafa are literally sitting next to each other rafa says in spanish that he cried when roger won roland garros in 2009 while roger can't-speak-spanish federer sits there totally unaware. they have one brain cell between them and it's heart shaped.
