society is fucked up

okay so i watched this movie trust. it’s about a fourteen year old girl who forms a relationship with a guy online whom she thinks is sixteen. turns out he is a fourty-something pedophile. 

everyone complains about how she “let him rape her.” but what i don’t think they understand is that he TRICKED her. he made it so that she trusted him. HE was the pedophile. HE was the one in the wrong. NOT HER. She was NOT the stupid one. She was just fourteen. 

Her faith in the world being a good place was taken advantage of and it makes me sick.
