My generations grew up watching the same TV show over the course of their entire school career. That's why Star Trek, for example, has such a large fanbase.

Seven seasons of Voyager means those characters accompanied me for seven years. That's why so many people are attached to shows and characters.

Guys. It's because studios have to raise their employee's wages after a certain number of seasons are ordered. They're "ordering" a regular season length amount of episodes, chopping it up, and then marketing it to you when it's finished as multiple seasons.

It's capitalism and greed. It's always one of those two things.

Once upon a time there was Netflix, and it cost $8 per month to watch pretty much any movie ever made instantly. It made sense. Everybody had Netflix and life was good.

Then there was Hulu, and it seemed weird at first to have two streaming services. But basic Hulu was free and mostly streamed TV shows so it kind of made sense. Soon they charged a small fee for the convenience of streaming TV shows without ads, which also made sense.

Life was very good. People forgot that piracy even existed.

Then a few years later they added about 200 other streaming services, each one costing more than the last, and each stripping away "exclusive" content from the other services, and now there are UNSKIPPABLE COMMERCIALS and the fucking planet is on fire

The fact that Lexa was twelve, TWELVE when she became commander... Do you know you tiny a twelve year old is? Look at Lexa in her early 20's. She's SMALL and scrawny still. Can you imagine her at twelve years of age? Her sword was almost her size. She killed the people she considered her family, her siblings. Controversial but yes, I do think Luna would have won the conclave if she hadn't ran. I don't think Lexa ever thought she was going to win and leave the conclave alive, that's why she's so uncomfortable when Clarke mentions the missing circle in Lexa's tattoo.

Imagine being twelve and being convinced you're going to die. And then, just like that, you're the leader of a nation. At twelve. After going through a horrible traumatic event. And then having a piece of ancient technology put in your neck and show you all the horrible and cruel lives the past commanders lived. AT TWELVE.

Lexa was just a kid man. When she ascended and when she died.
