Winter Convoy Chrom’s skill activation lines. View image caption for translation.
The first line is a reference to his これが絆だ = “This is [the strength of] our bonds!” where the word “bonds” is replaced with “celebration”

I’m not really sure how to translate the first one きらーんって感じ, because きらーん (kira-n) isn’t actually a word, it’s just a noise that Lissa makes. She says it in her Awakening crits and Warriors specials too. I think she means something like “wow!” or “yay!” or just an excited noise.

Hers is pretty much the same in English as Japanese.

Unlike Ike’s lines, Black Knight’s lines are pretty accurately translated in the official translation

Except the first line, the official translation is pretty literal
Effie’s skill activation quotes. View image caption for translation.
Pretty sure these are based on her lines in Fates. One of her lines, ギタギタにする is shared between her, Elise, and Arthur. I’m not actually sure how to translate this, not sure what ギタギタ is supposed to be...
Most of her lines in Japanese involve crushing things to dust. However, one of the biggest differences in Effie’s localization is that in English she sounds pretty butch and talks in a manly fashion. Whereas in Japanese, she sounds really dainty and feminine, and it’s also reflected in her speech. For example, one of her lines ends in わ, which is generally a feminine thing to do.

Pretty sure they’re just based on his Awakening quotes.

Parent-child Japanese quote comparison Part 1: Chrom and Lucina
In Awakening and Fates, children units share a couple of crit lines with their parents. What I find interesting is that in Heroes, Chrom, Winter Chrom, Lucina, and Marthcina have some common lines between them. (I don’t have the spring Chrom or Lucina to compare with, and Brave Lucina doesn’t share any lines)
Row 1 - “I will change my fate!” Row 2 - “This is [the strength of] our bonds!” Row 3 - “I won’t lose!” Row 4 - "I will take this seriously" (as in, "coming at you with my full strength")
Chrom speaks in a masculine, informal / direct way, Lucina speaks in a polite, gender-neutral way, and Marthcina is somewhere in the middle using masculine but more humble speech (僕 (boku) for first person pronoun, sentence ending ぞ like Chrom)
Individual English comparison lines:
Chrom Marth-cina Lucina
Masked Marth’s skill activation quotes. Click on image for translation.
The first and last line are the same as normal Lucina’s. Interestingly, for the 3rd line, it seems that the Japanese and English official translation are switched. That is, Masked Marth’s line in Japanese “僕は負けない!” matches more to Lucina’s line “I will never give up!” and Lucina’s line of “絶望なんかしない!” more accurately reflects Masked Marth’s “Hope will never die!”
I wonder if that was intentional, or if there was a mix-up somewhere...
Also worth noting, is that Masked Marth uses more masculine and more direct speech here (僕 for first person pronoun, sentence ending ぞ) whereas Lucina uses the more gender-neutral pattern.

Siegbert’s skill activation quotes. View image for translation.
These are probably based on his lines in Fates. Two of his lines (the 1st and 4th one here) are mirrored from Xander’s lines. Unlike Ryoma and Shiro’s lines though, it seems that the official English translation kept the link probably because they didn’t change Xander’s lines like they did with Ryoma’s
I’m also pretty sure that his 3rd line is also repeating one of Xander’s lines. I can’t remember what context (maybe even in Warriors) but I’ve def heard Xander say them at some point.
Opposite of Shiro, Siegbert speaks more formally and politely than his dad (Xander isn’t informal, but more direct I guess).
Shiro’s skill activation quotes. View image caption for translation.
Pretty sure these are based on his Fates lines. His last two lines in Japanese are actually a copy of what Ryoma says . However, it seems that the English official translation did not keep this link.
Also, unlike Ryoma, where the official version totally changed what he says, Shiro’s lines are actually pretty literally translated ‘cept the last one (奥義, which doesn’t really have a good simple translation)
Also to note in Japanese, Shiro speaks a lot more casually than Ryoma. For example, the line he shares with Ryoma: 諦めねえよ vs 諦めるものか, they mean the same thing but the way Shiro says it is a lot more casual.
He also yells a lot more, both in terms of the text here (see all the !) and his voice clips; he’s a very excitable boy..
Ike’s skill activation quotes. View image caption for translation. In Japanese his lines seem to be merciful towards his enemies, telling them to run now, and how he won’t take their life etc.

I think these are based on her Awakening quotes. A couple of them are slightly different between the English and Japanese
