Who would be the big spoon?
Elsa. Being big spoon makes her feel secure, plus she loves giving squeezes (but shhhh, donāt tell).
They wake up at about the same timeāElsa out of habit, because her days are very orderly and structured, and Ariel because sheās always excited to see what a new day will bring. (Their enthusiasm levels arenāt always equalā¦)

Sometimes Elsa gently, teasingly calls Ariel āprincess.ā
What happened when they met each otherās parents?
Triton liked Elsa quite a lot. He believes that her sense of responsibility will have a good effect on Arielāeven if heās not sure that Elsa isnāt too old for her. When Elsa brought Ariel to the empty memorial grave of her parents, Ariel left flowers. That night, she was big spoon instead of Elsa.
How do they apologise after an argument?
Profusely. Right on top of one another. Except when one of them is feeling incredibly righteousāthen it takes a few days longer for them to reach the point of apologizing right over each other.
What would they be like as parents?
The best, most enthusiastic ever. Both of them would want to avoid the mistakes of their parents, and Ariel especially would throw herself into it. Elsa would hesitate at firstāintimacy of any kind always makes her falter, and the relationship between parent and child is one of the most intimate of allābut she would want to be a mother, and would trust Ariel above anyone else to be her partner in parenthood.
Elsa. More patience, though she has almost no experience with food and has probably burned the breakfast toast more often than not.
Ariel is more demonstratively romantic. Although Elsa prefers to initiate physical contact, sheās not as spontaneous as Ariel is.
What sort of gifts do they get for each other?
Ariel brings Elsa gifts from natureāshells and flowers are the most portable, but when winter comes around she finds interesting ice structures and shows them to Elsa, and likes to write cute messages to her in the snow. Elsa gives Ariel progressively more complex human inventions, so that Ariel can take them apart and see how they work. Once, she had a watchmaker come to the palace to show Ariel what all of the internal gears and screws did.
Who gets jealous easiest?
Elsa gets nervous that Ariel is no longer interested in her or should be with someone else, but Ariel is the one whoāon occasionāgets actively, angrily jealous. Elsaās insecurity rears its head more frequently than Ariel gets jealous.
Who gets more excited for events e.g. Birthdays, Christmas?
Ariel, absolutely. She loves all the funny human customs associated with holidays and birthdays.

Elsa, always. She thinks that Ariel is much too headstrong and curious for her own good.
What would they have been like as childhood sweethearts?
They would have met on the beach of the fjord in secret, Elsa sneaking Ariel salad forks and hair clasps and broken clockworks in her cloak, Ariel digging up the prettiest shells from the ocean floor and carrying them to the surface for her human friend. Their standing Friday ādateā would be broken one week, leaving Ariel worried, uncertain, but still hopeful that Elsa might be coming, might only have had a party or a cold, and might come next weekā¦ But Elsa didnāt. The castle gates were closed, and Ariel and Elsa didnāt see each other again.
