trying to write a thing where ekitty dangun gets stuck with the sinners as a mirror/id fuckup (was intended to be ekitty x sinnertis angst)with the help of some of my epic writer friends but it turned into. ekitty clinging onto the dickhead that they yell at regularly the moment shes used as an id. i need to kill them.

So here's what's perfect about this scene.

Sun runs up to Jay and throws his arms around him. Jay, as expected, is pleased and a little smug about this

But then Sun says this:

Which takes Jay entirely out of that emotion.

Having Sun in his arms is one thing. Having Sun ask for that is a whole different level. This is what Jay has been trying to get Sun to do for almost the whole time they've known each other. To accept what he wants. Who he is.

Jay knows that the first and only time Sun has bottomed was for him. And, because he had a detective look into him, he also knows that Sun hasn't been with anyone since(yes this is a headcanon, but it makes sense given that Sun has said that he doesn't feel anything repeatedly, and he obviously has massive trust issues; I find it hard to believe that he would seek out partners at all). Jay understands that Sun's trauma and previous image of who he is has prevented Sun from being able to examine a part of himself that would render him vulnerable in any way. Pushing non consensual domination on Sun is one way that Jay has tried to get Sun to see who he is(standard disclaimer about how this is fantasy and not acceptable irl). To see how amazing it feels to submit to a beautiful man he's had an instant connection with twice, however much he's tried to hide from it. I think Jay saw Sun's strong attraction to not just his body, but his dominance, while Sun was having his fantasy of Jay pinning him to the couch. Kinkdar is a thing. I can sense when someone is a Dom, even if they haven't realized that about themselves yet. Many subs can. And many Doms can sense when someone is a sub(or at least has submissiveness in them, as mentioned in a prior post, it's not clear if Sun is an actual switch or if being a Top was just a way for him to feel like he was in control of his life). Jay could sense that about Sun. And he also saw Sun's extreme resistance to that fact about himself and the reasons for it. But pushing him physically only went so far. Sun needed to be able to look at that part of himself. To accept it.

Which he finally has. That sends Jay into protective Dom mode. Sun has let his walls down. Let Jay shatter the cage hiding Sun from his true desires. Sun is now deeply vulnerable.

And Jay takes that very seriously

Then they have mind blowing sex, and Jay gives Sun everything that he never knew he wanted.
