Here is my huuuge project for our beloved newborns a.k.a. object babies 👶😂
🏷️ Please, consider reading all information below. It will help you quick choose your newborn override (since we can have only one option) and warn you about some issues you might have! Shall we? 😌
I create a new texture from scratch. We lvl up from 512x512px to 2048x2048px texture size, better quality, better details, no eye specular reflection, no base game clothes! Clock THAT tea 🍼
The difference between EA base game newborns and this override is incredible! Now you will finally be able to ENJOY looking at them, rather than rushing to make them grow up faster. TRUST ME! 😂
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ🗂️ So, how do you choose right package file? 🧐 ⤵️
❗️First of all, you [must] need to download no default newborn outfits file. This file delete base game clothes from newborn (diapers excluded lol).
📝 Now you can see 3 different folders:
1️⃣ CUSTOM SKIN + MAXIS MATCH OVERLAYS ✅
2️⃣ CUSTOM CLOTHES ✅
3️⃣ PSD ⚒️
Choose 1️⃣ folder, and you will see 2 options: CUSTOM SKIN and MAXIS MATCH OVERLAYS.

📌 If you interested in maxis match overlays, skip this part and scroll down. ⬇️
❗️Because this is an override, you can have only one custom skin color in your game at a time❗️
Q: Who might benefit from this option?
A: For those who have been playing for one family for a long time and want to choose exactly how their newborn will look.
📈 Pros: the texture quality and color will be as detailed and bright as possible, and it will not look dull. No seams, pixels, or anything else you could see on ea default skin.
📉 Cons: the only and most significant minus is that now every baby that will be born in the family of your sims or in any other family in the world will look the same. Because this is a default replacement. This is not an overlay, but a separate custom color. If this does not bother you, and you want to change the files in your game from time to time for a certain family - this is your choice!
ㅤㅤㅤㅤ➡️ Lets start with what skin color you prefer for your newborn 👼
I create 5 different shades + alien version (alien will be a default for all alien babies if you choose custom skin version of the file, thats how crib babies works 😂)
🗂️ Example: If you know you will be playing as a light skinned family, you can select the folder under LIGHT COLOR in custom colors folder. Same logic for the rest 5.
Then you will see 2 options: no hair & custom hair 👶!
⚒️ The hair color is different for all 5 shades of the skin to match them good, but there is also red and blond version that is included to PSD i give you, so you can customize this 2 new colors OR The most fun: create your own! The texture is 100% recolorable, how cool is that? Im so proof of myself ;-;
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ📝 Now we are smoothly moving to maxis match overlays!
Q: Who might benefit from this option?
A: For those who have been playing for one family for a long time and want to choose exactly how their newborn will look.
📈 Pros: the baby will have skin and eye color from both parents. Each baby will be unique (maybe I went overboard with unique, but overall yes 🤣). Improved version of the text that will give babies a fresh look.
📉 Cons: due to the lack of color in the overlays, babies may look pale. Seams and shadows from the cribs may appear (unfortunately, I don't know how to fix this 🥲).
🗂️ Example: all you need to do, its decide about the version of the skin. They pretty same, but still a little bit different! There is face option #1 and #2 up close (they are black&white here because its an overlay, as i said, in game they will got mixed color of their parents!).

In MAXIS MATCH OVERLAYS folder there is 2 versions of the skin overlays: №1 is more pale & №2 is more shiny!

Now its time to dress up your baby! I create some custom clothes for them: couple of socks, bodysuit and a little bow for a girl 🎀🥰
❗️IMPORTANT❗️ If you have any default replacement clothes for newborns, you should delete it before using mine❗️
Choose 2️⃣ CUSTOM CLOTHES folder, and you will see 4 options:
> Socks only 🧦 Depending on who will born, a boy have blue socks, and a girl have pink socks.
Bodysuit only 🩱Depending on who will born, a boy have blue bodysuit and a girl have pink bodysuit.
Bodysuit + socks 🩱🧦 Depending on who will born, a boy have blue bodysuit and socks & a girl have pink bodysuit and socks.
Bodysuit + socks + bow🩱🧦 🎀 Depending on who will born, the girl will get a little pink bow for the hair.
❗️Note: if you want to use this outfit, you must download skin (custom or overlay) WITH hair option! Because it will look weird if the bow is attached to a bald head 😂👀

💌 I playtest my overrides with different default crib replacements, for some reason they work 50\50. I really have no idea why, but Bassinet Override by @awingedllama works perfect (and looks amazing!) so i highly recommend using their crib replacement with my skins override. Match made in heaven 😂🩷
Why i recommend this? To avoid base game cribs. If you are fine with them, you are fine with them! 🧸
Sadly, any of my overrides DOES NOT work with Invisible Cribs by Severinka [x] & Sixam CC [x] 😔
The reason is because they are both comes with their own texture.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤBUT! I found a solution (i think☠️)!
⚒️ You can change the texture in Sims 4 Studio by yourself:
Open package file in Sims 4 Studio, click on Texture > Import > Import any of my texture you consider having in your game > Save. Custom colors & overlays will work the same as i said above!
Also, to delete eye specular & normal map from the old clothes and old default skin, you should import to SLOT 1 & SLOT 2 two different textures (they are included at the PSD folder).
Now you can use no crib mode & any custom crib override!

🎨 Change everything you need, add new colors for your bodysuit, create a custom hair & eye color. Go for it! 🩷

finally... its been just over a year since v.1 and just about 2 years since i started crafting this
what is the love letter save?
the love letter save is... a love letter to my childhood which mainly revolved around the sims *shocker* and various shows/movies etc.
this save file embraces the idea that the sims 4 takes place on an alternate timeline... combining and altering the storylines from previous sims installments. i brought a TON of families from all previous sims games with some of their original lore and some twists of my own.
in the save bella goth is still missing... or she was... the beakers have a test subject, except it's claire ursine's love child with jared frio in this timeline. the caliente sisters are still up to no good! and the monty's still hate the capp family! and sooooo much more...
i want to give a special thanks to LifeSimmer, who permitted me to use the Fenderson family in this save. i have been playing the sims since i was 9 years old and all these years later that family is just as special to my inner sims child as the goth family.

i highly recommend going into your MCCC settings and TURNING OFF sim culling. what this will do is prevent the game from deleting unplayed sims as you play. which i didn't until after v.1 and was confused why i had to start from scratch around 9 months ago.

A few weeks ago, I decided to take the time to share each of my lots and households as dedicated posts, but I'm realizing that in the end there isn't much feedback, and that it doesn't seem to interest that many people (apart from a few loyal followers whom I thank for their kind words, really!).
So as not to get bogged down in the subject and spend a lot of time taking screenshots of every aspect of the lots and writing detailed posts for each of them, I've decided to share it all in one block, so it's done once and for all. This will be in two posts, given the rather large amount of content shared (a total of 55 terrains and 88 Sims).
🗺️ For each lot, I specified the world, the neighborhood and the original lot it replaces. You can check the Sims Wiki to find the lot if needed (in most cases, with the lot size and the thumbnail you should be able to manage).
If you use @simsontherope lots, lots replaced by those won't overlap, I took care of lots he wasn't going to renovate.
💡 All lots are playtested but I might have missed some issues. They use no CC, but all of them require almost all currently available packs.
🧩 For residential rentals, I listed the units with their names in my game and the number of rooms as those are reseted when installing them. I've also specified the Sims living there if applicable.
🦦 Some Residential Rentals use lots traits I created to make their shared areas act as community lots. You can grab the mod here.
👨👩👦 For the households, if they live on one of the lots listed (or a specific unit for residential rentals), this will be specified.
Some households are grouped together for sharing in the gallery (to maintain family ties), so you'll need to split them according to what's shown in the captures.
You can use the biographies below to add family descriptions after splitting them.
For the [NPC] households, simply install them on an empty lot and then evict them immediately. Then in the Manage Households window, click on each household, mark them as Unplayed, and move them in the Other Households tab.
👤All my Sims come with multiple outfits - including 3 everyday outfits and a customized career one, multiple skills, preferences, a career, additional milestones and some other things set up if you use Lumpinou's amazing mods 🤗
Unfortunately, the gallery doesn't save the relationships between household members, so you might refer to the family dynamics and the milestones to set them up.

His daughter Olivia, forced to help, dreams of other horizons, but she stays to take care of her aunt Edith, who is suffering from a terrible illness that limits her outings.

Edith was a woman full of life before cancer caught up with her too late. Nevertheless, she remains hopeful of a positive outcome, and dreams of wild evenings on beaches on the other side of the world as she gazes into the murky air of the Motel Californie pool.
Fabre - Row 5
Coralie and Robert have never wanted to conform to society's expectations, and live their lives on the margins with their large family. While Anthony is brilliant and street-smart, Julien prefers to spend his time flirting. Charlotte and Duncan are both strong-willed, and get up to a lot of mischief, while little Gwen seems to be well-behaved… at least on the surface.
