"You'll have to come by for dinner sometime. You and your dad. We would love to have you." Ruby said again, gently not pushing the subject but suggesting it. It was true; they would love to get to know them both better if they were open to it. "Riley is normally off on Monday and Tuesday." That was if she was in town, which lately had been few and far between. "Does your dad like dogs? We can put them away if not." Ruby realized she didn't know too much about Andrew. She had only met him a couple of times, really. Ruby knew traveling wasn't for everyone, but she thought maybe somewhere deep down Felicity would enjoy it as much as she and Riley did. "I hope it turns out when it's fired. I was thinking about having it on the counter for fruit." Though even if it was imperfect, it gave it character. "How's yours turning out?" "I'm sure that would be nice." She would have to talk with him, at least, about it, figuring it would be the polite thing to do. "Neither of us mind them." Celina often brought Romeo over and he hadn't seemed to be bothered by that. "Yeah, I guess there's always the risk that it won't turn out the same." She twisted her lips in thought, wondering if hers would turn out the same. "Mine is good." Felicity answered, shifting it slightly so that Ruby might be able to see. "I went colors that were a little darker, but I want to put some lighter accents in there after it dries for a few minutes." @rubyelliot

He nodded, "My parents moved us to a new country for a new start. I wasn't very happy at first... but I was 13, such a hard age for such a big change. "But I learned in time it isn't too bad here," thanks to Nia and others, he learned to deal with it and learned to like it."It's nice, and I get to visit back home." he did love Italy, so he liked it. Felicity couldn't even begin to imagine what that was like. She hadn't even done much traveling, let alone being moved to an entirely different country as a young teen. The biggest upset in her life was finding out who her biological parents were. "I mean, no judgement if college isn't for you." Felicity stated with a shrug of her shoulders. "I don't think it is for everyone and that's kind of the point." @venixvitale

"There's no other way but to do it but on top." Micah echoed, eyes focusing on Felicity a second later. They'd been deep in conversation - Micah wasn't even sure what now - but he had to say, he was eager to enjoy this dinner the same way they'd done when they were children. "You were saying?" he questioned, clearly focusing on Felicity as if to encourage her to continue. "You were just getting to the good part." he laughed, teasing slightly as she'd been enthusiastic about whatever it was since she'd started talking a few moments ago. It was only then that he stood up a little straighter. "Hang on a second; how did Percy get out of helping set the table? Where even is he? Don't tell me he bailed I'll kick his as- butt." he corrected, eyes shifting to Andrew as if he were waiting to be scolded for nearly slipping up. Not that he would, nor had he ever been, but, old habits did not die hard. @drewxcowan

"On top it is." Andrew said, turning back to the stove where he flipped the meatballs with a fluent swish of the pan before he turned to the sauce, tasting a little from it before deciding it needed more basil. He never tried eavesdropping, but their conversation in the background was registered nevertheless, so when he heard Micah slip before correcting himself he simply turned his head to look over his shoulder, an amused smile on his lips. "Thanks for volunteering to say grace tonight, Micah." He teased, even if he was completely serious. He never joked about prayer at the dining table. Turning the stove at the lowest, he wanted to wait to put everything on the table for when Percy got there. "What do we want to drink?" @felicityxcowan

Felicity didn't get to finish what she was saying, listening to what Micah was saying about Percy. "Yeah, I wonder where he is." She twisted her lips in thought, turning her attention back to her father at his question. "Just iced tea for me." She told him, immediately turning her head at a knock on the door. "I will go get that." Felicity offered, sticking out her tongue at Micah for fun as she bounded off to the door. She hadn't thought they were expecting anyone, at least not that her father mentioned. Opening up the door, Felicity stood with widened eyes. "Dad!?" She turned, a crease forming between her two brows. "Can you come here?" @micaheverhart

He smiled at her. "You can always come say hi." He told his niece. He always loved seeing both her and his nephew. The two of them helped him more than he could ever say after the loss of his son. Felicity's smile was warm as he said that she could always come say hi. She was grateful to have an uncle like Travis in her life, someone that she could trust full heartedly. "Thanks," she bounded up the steps and into the house. Felicity followed him to the kitchen, "I've been good," she answered him, keeping the smile on her lips. "I'm enjoying the summer so far. I've decided not to take any classes this summer. Well, most of them weren't offered." A huff of laughter pushed over her lips, "So I figured that would be a good opportunity for me to just work and have fun, you know? What about you?" She questioned in return, always happy to hear about her uncle's life. @traviscowan

The two were on completely different class schedules as of late, so having a movie night was much needed. She knew that it had been a big adjustment for her to change majors, but Celina was happy for her. "That's great. I know changing can be hard. Changes of any kind can be." Celina was slow with her words, making sure they were correct for what she was getting across. At the mention of Michah, a smile came across her lips. "I wonder who he is seeing. Maybe we should scope that out." Celina nudged her back as she saw the way they were together, but she didn't say anything. "As long as Romey can come, I would love to." Celina would have gone regardless of whether she could bring him or not. Her hands were still stroking Romeo's head as it sat on her lap. "Maybe we can go this weekend? I can ask my aunt to take a day off. We can have a full girls' day." Celina is still speaking slowly with her words so that they are understandable despite her accent. @felicityxcowan

"Her name is Frankie." She already knew that. Her and Micah didn't keep things from one another. In fact, if they had tried, it would be too obvious to the other. Sometimes she swore Micah knew her better than she knew herself, but she supposed the came with the territory of him being in her life for as long as he had been. "I haven't met her yet, but she seems nice." Felicity wanted Micah to be happy at the end of the day and from the way he spoke of Frankie, things were going well for the both of them. "Yeah," she nodded her head to Celina's words. "That works for me." She answered the other. "A girl's day sounds fun." This time she offered Celina a smile as she spoke. "I'm already looking forward to it." @celinabianchi

"Oh you do." Micah nodded. Not that this news was new; he'd just not let himself remember that his best friend was no longer in school for the summer and there for she would have a lot more free time on her hands. For work, to hang out with her family, or him. He'd make a mental note to be a better friend moving forward. "Do they already have you scheduled out for crazy hours?" he questioned. "I don't know if it's just me but I feel like last year they really made your schedule annoying." he commented, shaking his head. Yet, as they continued the conversation, talking about the arcade, Micah nodded. "Yeah, I think they did." he agreed. "In hindsight they spent probably double what they would've spent on those tickets but-" he shrugged. "You unfortunately can't tell them all." he added, exhaling. "I don't think I could handle a VR headset either." he shook his head. "There's a reason I drive anytime we go anywhere." That and Micah was older; he'd been driving a lot longer than Felicity had been. "If you want the four foot sloth it's yours." he nodded. "I'm sure we've got some tickets laying around here somewhere that you can bring in that is enough to get it." he shrugged. "Or honestly we can look online - I'm sure it's cheaper to find something as close to it without spending all that money on games." @felicityxcowan

"Yeah, sometimes the schedule can be annoying. Honestly, now that I have a little more seniority as a tour guide, my schedule is a bit more consistent. I even get one weekend day off a week and one full weekend a month." Not that the summer ended up being very long for that to matter a ton, it was still a step up from the years before. "Oh, yeah, I think everyone ends up spending double but there's something about the thrill of winning it with tickets." A scam, she was sure of it, but one that even she had fallen into the trap of before. "Yeah," she nodded her head, "It probably is cheaper to find online." Though there was a part of her that was slightly disappointed the two wouldn't be playing games to win it, but she hid it by taking a bite of her pizza. His favourite past time? At times it was simply enjoying the way the kids were engaging with one another under his roof. He'd been focused on the pasta sauce he'd been making, having given the others the assignment of putting a table cloth on the table and coving the entirety of it with tinfoil so that they could dump the pasta on top of it. Just like he did when all three of them were busy. They could've been having a discussion, joking around or just happily reminiscing, but Andrew's smile hadn't died down in the slightest in the last few minutes. He turned his head to look at his phone when it lit up, expecting it to be a text from Percy to say if he was going to be late, but when it was a news notification, simply turned back to the stove. "Do you guys want the meatballs in the sauce or on top of everything?" He asked, momentarily interrupting their conversation.

Felicity and Micah were setting the table, chatting mindlessly about their day. When it came to talking to him, it was easy. Never mind the bout of jealousy she felt a few weeks ago, she told herself. Micah was her best friend and she didn't want to lose him, she just wanted him to be happy. "I have to -" she stopped, hearing her father's question about the meatballs. Felicity looked to Micah for a beat, "Definitely on top of everything." She kept her gaze on her best friend for confirmation of what he thought next. @micaheverhart

He smiled, "I did what I could. I was trying to do as my parent pleased, but the restaurant thing wasn't for me or college," he chuckled. "I knew I wanted to fly planes for a long time" he smiled. "My mom never loved it...but she wanted me happy." he missed his mother more than he ever admitted. "But flying works for me, and the restaurant I can get supplies from any place nearby," so they always had the best fresh foods. "That's good and how it should be from what I am told" he smirked "i took flying lessons as teeanger that was the last learning I really did" he did. @felicityxcowan

Felicity couldn't relate to his statement. Her father wanted her to be happy and hadn't tried to force any one career on her. Or her brother for that matter. "I think most parents just want their kids to be happy, even if can't always say or show it." She shrugged her shoulders with her words. "That's nice, I'm sure it helps with keeping the authenticity of the restaurant if you get supplies from Italy." Felicity continued speaking. She wasn't surprised by what Veni said, but it made her lips thin with the thought. "To each their own. I try to learn something any chance I get." @venixvitale

Ruby listened as she worked on painting her plate, placing perfectly round dots around the edge of it. Nodding when she needed to. "She's eight months old now, almost nine. She's just as crazy as the last time you saw her." A small chuckle came from Rudy. She loved Lucy, but sometimes having a puppy was a lot. "It's funny." Ruby started as she looked up to Felicity as she spoke. "I thought Riley got her for me, but she's one hundred percent his dog. She follows him everywhere. It's really cute." It made her smile part on her lips as she said it. "It's okay, because Casp loves me more, just don't tell him I said that." Ruby listened as she said she had never traveled. In a way it made her sad that she never had that experience, but it wasn't her place to judge either. Ruby wasn't her parent; she had never gotten that chance, no matter how much they both had wanted it. "That is fair." Ruby understood that not everyone loved to travel, nor did everyone have the desire. "You're still young, you have time when you're ready." Felicity had her whole life ahead of her; she was only twenty. "What do you think so far?" Ruby had finally just finished dotting different colors of blues and purples around the rim of the plate. She had sketched some flowers in the center to paint, but had not yet started. "A little messy, but I mean, it will do right?" Ruby wasn't a perfectionist per se, nor was she an artist by any means. @felicityxcowan

"Oh, yeah, not very old at all." Obviously older than the last time she saw the dog, but still a puppy. "I'm sure that was his intent." Not that she could truly judge that. She didn't feel like she knew him that well at all, but it felt like the right thing to say. "Funny how that works out, though." She didn't have experience with it, but she had heard of it happening before. Like the dad that didn't want a dog, but ended up loving the dog the most. "I won't." Felicity answered with a quiet laugh. She nodded her head carefully to Ruby's words, trying not to mess up her painting. "Yeah, I'm sure one of these days I will." But, she also wasn't in any rush. Felicity loved being in Kismet Harbor. "I don't think it's messy." She paused painting herself, "It's got your touch to it and I think that's what really makes it unique." @rubyelliot

"They are." he nodded, eyes shifting from the plate in front of him to his best friend. He'd almost swear there was a shift in the air, some tension after his confession of taking Frankie out, but, Micah wasn't going to dwell on it. "I just know I'm going to be picking up hours there this summer since school is out." he admitted. "Which I'm both dreading and also excited for. The Hanson kids come in once a week all summer and basically terrorize the entire place and I'm not looking forward to that." he admitted. "But, you know, what can I do?" There wasn't much, he'd tried and most people were just quick to say that he were being too harsh, even if it was notable that their sales for the day were always significantly lower. "The best prize?" he paused. "Uh, I think someone had so many tickets that they got this rare like free six months membership but that was before I started working there." he admitted. "Nothing else there has ever seemed to be too impressive." Not enough for Micah to consider it anything he'd want, anyways. "I think I heard a rumor we're getting VR headsets, but, people have been trying to get our giant four foot sloth for weeks and no one has had enough tickets for it yet." @felicityxcowan

"Yeah, I start working a lot more when school is out, too." Though, at the aquarium she really did enjoy it. It wasn't her passion job, by any means, not something she wanted to do for the rest of her life but it was a job that did bring her joy. Though between the both of their jobs, they had highly different degrees of children's personalities. She often felt like the arcade attracted the wilder kids and Felicity's job at the aquarium brought in the inquisitive natured ones. Even if that wasn't always the case for both. "Yeah, he's been doing it so long it feels like, you probably should be used to it by now." Felicity said with a playfulness threaded through her words. "Six months free would be cool, but I bet they realized they lost a lot of money on that." She said with a shake of her head. "VR would be neat, though I think I'd get too motion sick," she paused, "but I think I will beat everyone out for the four foot sloth." @micaheverhart

Felicity had been out, taking a stroll through the neighborhood when she came across her uncle's home. Normally, she wouldn't have stopped without notice but when she saw him on the porch, she walked up the paved path to the porch. "I was just out for a walk and saw you out here. Thought I'd come say hi." She smiled at him, reaching up to tuck a piece of hair behind her ear. "I would love some lemonade. It's a perfect day for it." Celina was watching Romeo as he watched her. His head stayed planted on her lap, unbudging. He was probably the best thing her parents had ever given her. Over the months, the harder days, he was always there. "I know I do." Celina was grateful to have Felicity in her life. She was thankful for the Cowan family. They had been nothing but welcoming towards her, and they also felt like family at this point. "You always have me." Celina stated back, her words were slow as she thought of them as she spoke, making sure they made sense as they came out. She let a silence fall between them for a beat before she spoke. "Should we pick a movie?" Celina handed Felicity the remote because she knew if she had to decide, they would be there all night. "How's everything with you?" She knew that Felciity had a lot going on over the past year with her birth parents, though Celina never pushed it. @felicityxcowan

Felicity took the remote from Celina, opening up Netflix to find something to watch. She was looking for something they'd seen, that they could pay attention to or not. It was easier that way, she found. "Things are good with me, honestly." Felicity had a lot going on in her life that made her feel fulfilled at the moment between work, school and her home life. "I am glad that I ended up switching majors." She told Celina, "And I guess Micah is seeing someone so I'm seeing less of him but he did promise me a pass to the arcade to make up for it, so you will have to come with me so we can win all the prizes." She nudged her friendly gently with her elbow. @celinabianchi

He sighed as he looked at her "The restaurant has never been my calling" he looked away for a second then back at her. "It's just it doesn't click with me now, I can work there, I can pass as an okay waiter," he chuckled a moment. "But the cooking thing, the running thing isn't my thing," he let out a breath as he looked at her. "But I do my part, I fly in supplies sometimes," and it was nice to get some food from Italy. Though she had not lived a life nearly as long as most that she knew, she knew what it was like to want something that made sense to one's self. "I switched majors recently, so I get that." She told Veni, "It's okay that it doesn't click." Though she didn't think that he needed reassurance from her, but the words fell easily from her lips. "Work is good though, been working more since school is out for the summer, but I never really stop learning." @venixvitale
