“I don’t know, it just happens,” Oliver laughed softly. When she posed the question about their date, he licked over his lips. “I don’t really know, we can go see a show maybe? Or do the classic dinner and am movie?”

Felicity kissed Oliver’s cheek fondly. “I’m up for anything. It’s been so long since I’ve been on a date, I think I’ve forgotten how to date.” She laughed softly, rolling her eyes. “I just want to get to know you from a different perspective.”

Oliver grinned, leaning into the affection. “Well, maybe a little,” he chuckled, watching her. He took her and and squeezed it gently. “I like this, though… you and me? And I look forward to our date.”

Felicity smiled at Oliver, feeling her stomach flutter at his sincerity. “How are you so sweet?” She asked, looking at him. “What should we do on our date?” She asked, her thumb sliding along Oliver’s knuckles.

Oliver laughed softly. “I don’t mind at all, honestly,” he said and kissed her back softly. “Mmm… don’t forget your brain. You have a very nice brain. And lips… and you’re really pretty too…” he whispered.

Felicity blushed at Oliver’s compliments, shyly pressing her lips to the corner of his mouth. “You’re just full of flattery.” She said with a quiet smile. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were already smitten.” Felicity giggled a bit.

“Good answer,” Oliver smiled at her. He nodded, thinking that this would be risky but it was an amazing risk to take if the two of them would start something special. “I want it too, Felicity,” he said and kissed her cheek. “Thanks for letting me crash with you,” he smiled.

Felicity leaned into Oliver’s affection, her cheeks heating up as she blushed. “I didn’t really give you a choice. I’m pretty sure I force cuddled you into submission.” She laughed softly, before turning her head to peck Oliver’s lips gently. “Maybe that’s my best weapon. You have your arrows. I have my deadly cuddles.”

Oliver grinned a bit more. “Well, thank you,” he chuckled and took another bite of his pancake. Nodding, he licked over his lips, unable to keep his eyes off of her. With a soft squeeze of her hand, he hummed softly. “Maybe tonight? If you’re not sick of me yet, that is.”

Felicity allowed her gaze wash over Oliver’s entire face. She couldn’t find even the slightest bit of apprehension on his face. “I’m not sick of you.” She promised, smiling at him. “Like I said, yesterday was just a lot to take in. But I want this. I really do.”

“Oh, she’d like that. Thea already went ahead and told her about you. Apparently, I’m smitten. Raisa’s now asking me for her wedding invitation,” he chuckled. Oliver smiled a bit, watching her. “I should have found some better way to tell you…” he said softly, then nodded. “But yeah… I’d like that.” Licking over his lips, he reached for Felicity’s hand. “Felicity Smoak, will you go out on a date with me?”

Felicity settled her hand in Oliver’s, letting their fingers intertwine. “Oliver Queen, I will go on a date with you.” She smiled shyly, blushing. “It’s the least I can do since you made me breakfast. And the whole keeping me safe thing.” Felicity brushed her thumb over Oliver’s skin. “I um... Wh-when would the date be?” She asked.

“Me neither,” Oliver chuckled. “So cheers, to us? I guess?” he smiled, lifting up his coffee mug as a toast, and taking a sip before helping himself to some pancakes. “Thank you. You can thank my nanny Raisa for teaching me how to cook,” he smiled.

Felicity smiled warmly at Oliver. “I’ll send her a thank you card.” She teased between bites of food. “I um... I wanted to apologize for being so hard on you yesterday.” She blushed, biting her lip. “It was just a lot on information to take in... Can we um... Can we try the whole “dating” conversation again?”

“Well, it’s not a bad thing that you did,” Oliver smiled at her and joined her, placing the food and the plates on the table. He chuckled a bit. “It really does,” he said with a nod. “Umm… I guess that’s a good thing?”

“I like it.” Felicity reassured with a smile. “I don’t normally have breakfast with anyone. So, this is really nice.” Felicity ate a few bites of pancake and made a happy noise. “These are amazing.” She gushed.

“Well, it was the least I could do… since you let me crash on your couch in my Arrow suit,” Oliver replied with a nod. “I hope you like them,” he said and grabbed some plates and mugs. “Dig in.”

“I kind of made you stay...” Felicity laughed softly, grabbing some jam and syrup for their pancakes. She plated their breakfast, then took a seat at the table. “This feels very domestic.” She giggled, blushing.

Oliver sighed in relief as Felicity told him she was only kidding. He laughed softly and nodded, kissing her back. “Well, I have blueberry and there are some chocolate chip. Coffee should be ready…” he mused, taking Felicity by the hand and leading her towards the kitchen.

Felicity giggled, swinging their hands when she followed Oliver. A decent night’s sleep was all it took to ease her anxiety from yesterday. She smiled gratefully at Oliver. “I really didn’t expect you to do all of this.” Felicity breathed deeply. “It all smells delicious.”

“You wanted pancakes, I got you pancakes,” Oliver smiled. “Fun fact, I actually am a decent cook,” he grinned, which faded slightly. “Wait… what?” he pursed his lips in thought, watching her carefully. Laughing awkwardly, Oliver smiled a little. “Please tell me you’re kidding…” he bit his lip, running a hand through his hair.

Felicity watched Oliver’s face, trying her best not to let her expression betray her. At his question, she giggled and moved to him, pecking his cheek. “I’m completely kidding.” She promised. “Oh my god. You looked like a kicked puppy.” Felicity kissed him sweetly on the lips. “I love pancakes, Oliver.” She grinned. “Promise.”

Oliver and fallen asleep while keeping watch. He knew John had eyes on them, so he’d be alerted if something waved a red flag. Felicity’s warmth was calming. And he was able to sleep better than he had in a while, considering they were on a couch. He had gotten up a little earlier than Felicity to start cooking pancakes as promised. Oliver placed extra pillows in his absence and poked his head out of the kitchen when he heard his name. “I’m right here,” he said with a smile, walking back to the couch, spatula in hand and he kissed her cheek. “Missed me that much?”

Felicity leaned into the affection, then stretched before standing. “You were next to me, I thought maybe you left.” She shrugged and yawned. “Either that or I dreamed the vigilante boss that wants to date me thing.” She blushed, before noticing the smell of pancakes. “Did you actually make pancakes?” Felicity asked with an eyebrow raised. “You know I don’t eat gluten, right?”

Felicity slept peacefully on the couch, nestled against Oliver. The steady rhythm of his heart seemed to be all she needed to ebb away the stress of the day. There would need to be a lengthy discussion in their future about everything that transpired. However, for that moment, rest was the only thing she needed. When morning came, she stirred slowly, exhaling a small breath. While her dreams were tame, her conscious mind was anything but. “Oliver...” Felicity opened her eyes and reached for the man that had simultaneously complicated and steadied her life.

Oliver held her close to his chest with a small smile. He nodded. “Anything you want, Felicity,” he said softly. “I hope you like pancakes. Because that is literally the only thing I know how to make. And toast,” he grinned. “But I do enjoy kisses. That’s definitely a thing.”

“Pancakes are fine. Don’t be stingy with the syrup.” Felicity teased as she yawned again. “Yeah, yeah... Kisses.” She chuckled tiredly, giving Oliver’s waist a squeeze before she began drifting off.

“Considering you probably wouldn’t have let me leave if I tried…” he smiled, then turned off his commlink to give them a bit more privacy, knowing John wouldn’t let him live the moment down when he got back to the bunker. “I wouldn’t really call that punishment, though…” he kissed the side of her head. “Get some rest, Felicity.”

Felicity tugged a blanket off the back of her couch to snuggle under. “I expect breakfast in the morning,” She mumbled tiredly, winding an arm around Oliver’s waist. “And coffee.” She added, closing her eyes. “And maybe a kiss, if you’re good.”

Oliver smiled. He supposed she won this argument, but he had to admit, he felt the same. His line of work was just more dangerous because he chose to become the Green Arrow. He sat with Felicity and wrapped his arms around her. “Not exactly what I had in mind, but I think I can work with this,” he smiled.

“It’s cute that you thought you had a choice in the matter.” Felicity murmured, tucking herself even closer. “You’re the one who waltzed in here in your Robin Hood costume and your growly Batman voice talking about feelings and stuff.” She yawned, her cheek pressed against Oliver’s chest. “Your punishment is cuddles.”

“I guess we have that in common,” Oliver smiled a little. “Considering I have final say in what happens to your job since you work directly under me…” his smile grew a little. “I wouldn’t give them a chance,” he shook his had. “Don’t worry about me, okay?” he nodded, even though he knew that probably wouldn’t happen. “Get some rest. I’m going to keep watch until morning, then we’ll figure this out,” he said, kissing her forehead softly.

“I am always going to worry about you.” Felicity elbowed Oliver. “That’s just how I’m wired. So, you’re going to have to learn to live with that.” She told him, leaning into the affection. She closed her eyes for a moment, exhaling then lifted her head to look at him again. Felicity pulled Oliver into a cuddling position on the couch. “You can keep watch from here.” She murmured, curling into the man’s side.
