It is a lovely day in Felisfire. Pirate Fest is sadly over, but have no fear it will be back next year! There was a lot of fun gathering, joke telling, and even stories.

We are starting the works on the Halloween event which will be at the end of the month and wrapping up all the Pirate Fest events.

Moderator Applications have been closed so we will find out later this month who is the new moderators.

Pirate Fest has Officially begun on Felisfire! It is a long awaited event that everyone waits for all year. Treasures galore and prizes aplenty. It is such a great event that you will have to go check out and see...

So, previous staff are running this then? I guess the old logs make more sense now. I figure the new staff should be working a bit better (or, I hope at least). I'm actually pretty curious about the new owner. Haven't been active in the community for a while, but I've never heard of them and the way they talked about the site, it feels like they should be a previous user that I could at least vaguely identify.

From what I understand, granted I’m not talking to any of the current staff at all due to issues with them, I doubt it. I’d been on staff for long enough to be able to pick and tell when things are going wrong behind the scenes. We’ve always panicked in the same way. But nope, it’s just me running this. I’m the only one with access.

They’re an older user from what I can tell but not a prevalent older user so yeah, I don’t think they’ve ever been very intrinsic to the community which doesn’t instill confidence at all. Nothing about the administration does anymore.

And don’t get all of this wrong: I care about the site still. I wish it was doing better and that things hadn’t happened the way they did because I’d love to still be working for staff. But the people in charge--and I speak mostly of the staff rather than the new owner here--are too immature and eager to fight and argue and demand that they’re correct and can only ever be correct to be functioning.

Wait, is this an official FF account? I'm guessing not but... (also, opinions on new owner?)

It is the official account though I imagine they’ll be building a new one considering no one actively on staff has access to the blog anymore due to poor management. New owner isn’t mature enough to be handling the site is my two cents.

So much more than that, so many issues. Being unable to communicate, unwilling to let go of pride, inability to work together for just two seconds.

It’s been fucked a long time guys.

It could take us the rest of this year to convince users we're doing any better than we did in this event. There's no easy way to bounce back when you have older users saying this sort of thing.
