Black Beach

Concept drawing of a black beach the volcanic island Eldis in the Siderian-world. It's quite like an Iceland equivalent and this location is obviously inspired by Reynisfjara.

The two Siderians featured are my friend RiverRaven's characters called Fannar (black, to the right) and his father Ragnar (brown, to the left) and some ecal that could be a form of Ysal or Luminal. Meet Sarratan, the black Demon-Siderian. Most photos are taken at Elfia (Vorden, the Netherlands) where I've met @foxofwonders who was wearing her wonderful suit of Gàxareh! We ended up hugging trees together. I've also met Jack Sparrow (from PotC), Ghost and Hornet (Hollow Knight / Silk Song) and several others in fursuit!

I also took my old 2009 paper maché scythe out again to take pictures in my parents' backyard when the suit was finally finished! It took me 385 hours to make - all parts are made by me.

"A draconic deity died, but it was hindered to reincarnate. The Ghost was locked in the sky and the body gone in the ocean. The soul was born in the world as ordinary people, to break the chain. But that was not so easy, as the separation of it gave the people some advance and comfort, and the soul forgot what to do as it is often after death... eventually someone did not unchain it but brought the body back into movement. So instead of finally dying and be reborn, the Skeleton devoured the Ghost and now this is a whole new problem for the people who had locked it way for so long.

The Ghost appears as an iridescent cloud when separated from the body. After fusing with the bones, the Skeleton appeared to be driven by a thunder storm. The wings are a mix of feathers and clouds"

Sideria (a.k.a. the Siderian-verse)

It's a kind of parallel version of Earth (which I and Siderians in the story may still just call Earth), where evolution and geology went slightly differently, leading to slightly different climates and biomes. First of all, there are the ecals: a new kingdom of eukaryotic life that has features from plants, fungi and animals. Ecals are a cognitively advanced life-form that lives in the soil and can grow crystals that enable them to wield elemental energy (in ATLA style). Ecals are also highly spiritual, forming spiritual gateways to other world. They play an important role in Siderian society and many other animals have close interactions with ecals. Spiritual energies in Sideria are more potent and so are Elemental (physical) energies. Living beings can wield these energies in a bit of a similar way as in Avatar the Last Airbender, although much more restricted and more complex. Ecals play a major role in facilitating elemental wielding in other living beings.
