Princess. Certainly better than Kid, but still enough to make Diana’s gaze narrow. In truth, she did like Felix. He was smarter than most of the bikers she came into contact with. Intelligent, good with numbers, and attractive. Not hard on the eyes whatsoever. That made for an impressive combination in Diana’s eyes, though she won’t make it evident. When was Diana Knowles ever one to show weakness? Her reputation was as well kept as her shiny BMW parked out front.
“If I’m a princess, then what does that make you, baby?” She teases back in return, checking her manicure before sending one long glance back towards her dancer. Just to make sure she was all good and not picking out something hideous. Sure, Diana would support anything she wanted to get tattooed, but she was still one of her dancers and an ugly tattoo just wouldn’t do over at Mayhem Maidens.
When Diana and Felix settle back into casual conversation, brown eyes avert over to the man, a subtle smile gracing her expression. “Do you like that?” She questions, “You know, having a routine and everything staying the same?” Contrary to popular belief, Diana truly was interested. She was a curious being, always needing to know things. Both because she liked to help and because she was nosy, which made for an interesting combination.
“Oh, yeah. Shiny and new.” Diana says, nodding towards her dancer. “I think she might have a crush on you, honestly. She’s been hounding me about a tattoo but gets shy when I mention you..” Her gaze is cast over the younger woman once more before settling back on Felix, “I don’t blame her. You’re cute, I suppose.”
Felix was an aesthete at heart. He liked beautiful things and he liked beautiful people, and Diana certainly fit into the latter category. He didn’t try to take himself too seriously, didn’t try to hard to be someone he wasn’t. He was a flirt and he was flighty and he liked to get himself into little messes just to see if he could get himself out. He liked to push his relationships as far as they could go, if only because he thought that pushing buttons was the best way to get at the core of someone. Whether or not that was actually true was up for debate.
He paused, tilting his head to the side. “The token kingdom scoundrel?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at her. The nice thing about having these kinds of conversations with Diana is that she had no trouble keeping up with Felix, who tended to get bored of people who were not as quick-witted as he was. He always wanted to make sure that he was fully interested in whatever interaction he was having. It would be a disservice to both parties if he wasn’t.
A shrug lifted his shoulders. “I can’t complain.” Felix did like having a routine. He was particular about his space, particular about his daily life—he liked things to be precisely how he wanted them. He was controlling in specific ways. The routine he had settled into here felt natural, and that was what he had been looking for when he came to Charming. “It’s better than not knowing what’s coming next.”
He grinned, glancing over to the other woman again, catching her gaze and watching her blush and look away from Felix. “Cute? I was hoping, for like—macho. Manly. Tough.” He couldn’t help but snicker at himself, though, loving the idea of someone admiring him from afar. “It’s too bad I’m not a cradle-robber, I might have hit that,” he added. The other woman was just a little bit too young for Felix’s taste—of the people in the room, he would definitely be more interested in Diana.
