but didn't you also call out people on homophobia and content theft? neither of those are technically "illegal", so why are you upset about callouts now?
ive reblogged callouts , yeah , and i made that one about content stealing bc it was theft of my intellectual property . i also did so in a respective manner , asked for no harrassment and negative hate . on the pedophilia shit i was a lot more rude bc it's , y'know , pedophilia . illegal .
but doing as much , i had two separate instances where i broke down . it was genuinely taxing on me , emotionally and mentally . i left all my servers and didn't talk to some of my friends for days . it's just a toxic culture , and even as i was doing it , maybe it was for the " right reasons " but i know and own up now to the fact it wasn't solely for that .
people make callouts bc it feels good to . they make them scathingly , harrassingly , and with little to no respect to who they're targeting . callouts should be last measure , if done at all .
it's just disgusting . i'm done w seeing it on my dash and the way people are labeled hard black and white " homophobes " or " racists " ect . people are so much more than that .
remember whatever stupid shit you did when you were 17 ? how about a year ago ? last week ? you're not the same person you were 15 minutes ago , and neither does a single instance or moment or time of your life define the entire spectrum that makes you as a multidimensional being . callout and cancel culture is blindingly shortsighted of this , and i'm just ... done w it .
