THE LOST PRINCESS (Prologue)

PROLOGUE: I have been searching for her for five years... Five long years. I've been thinking where she went. What did I do wrong for her to run away? Wait... Did she even run away? I dont think so though. She wasnt abused. She was treated well. I think she wouldnt run away because she was treated badly... Why would she be treated badly? I think that's impossible because... Well... She's the Princess. There were alot of questions that popped inside of my head: Why did she leave? Is she alright? Who was she with? Does she remember me? How was she? Was she okay? Was she... Alive?, those type of questions would bother me. The questions were all about the princess and because of that... it gave me the idea of looking for her, my heart was becoming desperate... I was becoming desperate to find her. My heart was aching... It was wanting to feel the presence of the princess. It was throbbing and aching and I was miserable. My emotions are confusing me. I was sad. I was angry. I was determined then I'd lose hope then I'd have the energy to search for her again. It was confusing. She was a dear friend of mine. She was there to support me and motivate me. She'd cheer me up when I'd be sad or disappointed with things that's in my life. She's sing to calm me down or lull me to sleep, she was amazing... Like an angel. I'd say, she's my angel. She was my princess... And I love her... The Princess was my friend and she knows it but she doesn't know that I think of her as something that's more than a friend. How do I know that? Probably it was because of this stirring feeling in me. In my heart, she was unique and beautiful... And so special... I've met her when we were still little, in the courtyard of our kingdom. I was about eight then and she was probably seven. I caught glimpses of her giggling and running around the courtyard playing. She was wearing a white laced gown mixed with something else. Her brown hair was in a slightly messy bun that was curly and had a wreath on her head. The wreath was made out of small white flowers and leaved and twine woven into a wreath, almost like a crown. Her complexion was as white as snow and her smile made my world stop. Her blue eyes met mine. I could recall a faint memory of my mother coming and I asked her who she was. The princess came to me and said: "Why arent you playing?" I frowned at her. I think I gave her a smart answer... All I said was: "Uh..." She giggled. "You're cute... What's your name?" She asked me. "Uh... Kaden." I replied and she blinks before doing a curtsie. "What about you? What's your name?" She smiles at my question, looking rather amuzed. "My name is Maren Elizabeth. It's nice to meet you. Kaden, right? Why dont you play with us?" "What? Why?" "Why? Because if you dont play with us...or at least do something for enjoyment or fun... You're childhood story would be boring..." "What?" "Adventure dear Prince. Why wait for adventure when you get older when you can start it now?" She lets go of the skirt of her gown and extends her hand towards me. I frowned. "Come with me... It'll be fun." She smiled. She rolled her eyes and takes my hand and pulled me to the maze of the courtyard. We'd play together and share stories and explore each other's kingdoms. I'd always recall the faint warmth of her hand whenever she'd drag me to her so called adventures, the smile and laughter she'd do whenever we're together. She wont mind having her gowns dirty or wet, or her face marked with dirt, she'd still look beautiful. Recalling those memories of what we had makes me sad and somehow makes me determined, it gives me the strength to find her... I love her.... For who she is... I love her. But... She's gone. She's lost. She's... Missing. And I intend on finding her... Even if it was the last thing that I would do. I will find her.

RANDOM SHORT STORY no. 1 "A CAMP FIRE WORTH REMEMBERING" The sky was dark, the tents were up and the campers gathered in the middle of the campsite. Some campers carried with then mugs steaming with hot beverages like hot chocolates, hot tea or coffee. Some carried bowls filled with goods; popcorns, chips and marshmallows. They even brought sticks with them, probably for creating s'mores. A certain camper sat near the fire, her body wrapped up with a blanket and comforting herself with a nice cup of hot chocolate, small pieces of marshmallows floating on top. She hooked some strands of her hair that was distracting her as she drank from the cup. She was staring at the fire, sighing from time to time, not cracking a smile, her expression was sad and gloomy. "Hey Hayley... You okay?" A female voice said. The camper who was sitting near the fire turned her head around to see who called her attention. A familiar red-head girl with brown eyes grinned at her, behind her was a group of men probably their age and another girl with mid-length brown hair and a tan complexion. The camper nods her head and stared at the fire again. The group behind her exchanged looks. One of the guys with an Asian feature nudged another guy with glasses that covered his curly brown hair. The guy with glasses shook his head with a blush. "Go on man... I'm not going to kill you just because you got near my best friend The Carbs Master...." The Asian looking guy said. "I heard that Chin Master..." The camper near the fire said, cracking a smile. "I'm alright guys... I swear... If your going to sit with me, go ahead, I won't mind..." She turned her head with a grin, making them even more concerned. They sat near her and with a nod from the red-head girl, they charged her with a hug. The female camper fell on the ground with a group of her friends on top of her, laughing like crazy, the sad expression gone. "I told I'm okay... But thanks guys..." "You should just tell us if you have a problem Hayley. We're always here for you...." The guy with glasses said. Hayley, the camper with the mugs of hot chocolate who was sitting near the fire, smiled. She jumped at the guy and hugged him. "I'm so lucky that I've met you guys... I love you so much..." The guy with glasses blushed. "Uh... I Love you too..." Hayley pulled back and stared at the guy. "What did you say Adam?"she blinked. "I... Uh... I love you too?" Hayley blinked until she giggled. The red head girl giggled with her too. The Asian looking guy frowned and whispered something to her ear. The red head whispered something back and the Asian guy couldn't help himself that he started laughing along. "What?"the guy with glasses reacted. "Ah...Adam, you do know to whom she's addressing those words right?" "Uh yes CJ, I'm not stupid...its for all of us.." Adam, the guy with curly brown hair and glasses, answered. "Mmhmm and you just confessed." "Huh? Confessed what?" Adam blushed. "Uh I don't...wait..." He stared at Hayley for a very long time and blinked."shoot... Did I just..."he averts his gaze to CJ."oh shoot...I uh...I-" Adam stuttered. Hayley giggles. "Well this is a camp worth remembering..." Hayley said. "I Love you too Adam"
