Bob Gray was neither some evil scumbag nor was he Mary Poppins' second coming as a contrast against IT. He was just an ordinary human who was an exceptional artist trying to navigate his grief while raising his only child. His work wasn't exactly rewarding or stress free but he was dedicated to it and he did his best. He tried to do the right thing without having the slightest inkling of what he was up against. This was a good man who became yet another blip in the radar of that ageless malicious entity while the symbol of his craft, the form that was so cherished by children, was perverted into their worst nightmare.

To call his fate tragic would be an understatement.

So.. I’ve been thinking about this for a while and…

Lily is basically Bill Denbrough if he had no plot armor aka the power of magic friendship. I mean—

1. She is ‘the leader of the group’.

2. She has a dead relative / a connection to Pennywise’s recent victim.

3. She convinces her friends to go down into the sewers/Its lair.

4. She refuses to go to the police.

5. She discovers a weapon/weakness against It and immediately tries to go back to fight Pennywise.

6. Her mom’s in denial, same way Bill’s parents are.

7. She even kinda looks like him: they share similar facial features, especially the nose, eyes and lips.

If only she had been born 27 years later, she most likely would not only have survived, but actually defeated IT and lived her happily ever after.
