BLINDS, PERSIANAS 

In Spain, a unique type of blinds has been created. A basic invention that regulates light, isolates it from the wind and protects privacy.

En España se ha creado un tipo único de persianas. Un invento básico que regula la luz, aísla del viento y protege la intimidad.

MERCADONA

That in the same place you can buy a package of paracetamol, tobacco, beers and a sandwich you already find boring. You miss the delyplus products, all Hacendado products and the fuet of this supermarket chain.

Porque eso de que en el mismo sitio puedas comprarte un paquete de paracetamol, tabaco, cervezas y un sándwich ya te parece aburrido. Echas de menos los productos del delyplus, todos los productos de Hacendado y el fuet de esta cadena de supermercados.

PLUGS IN THE BATHROOM, ENCHUFES EN EL BAÑO

Everyone in Spain has plugs in the bathroom but here in the UK, why not? This is because the Health and Safety regulations do not allow plugs to be used in the bathrooms, only certain special plugs for electric razors are allowed. Now, if there are three meters between the bathroom and the shower and the place where you want to put the plug, it is allowed.

Todos en España tenemos enchufes en el baño pero aquí en Reino Unido no, ¿por qué? Esto se debe a que las regulaciones de Health and Safety no permiten tener enchufes en los baños, solo se permiten ciertos enchufes especiales para maquinillas eléctricas. Ahora bien, si hay tres metros entre el baño y la ducha y el lugar donde se quiera poner el enchufe, sí está permitido.

TAP WATER, EL AGUA DEL GRIFO

España tiene una de las mejores aguas del grifo de Europa, según un estudio. realizado por la Organización de Consumidores y Usuarios. De hecho es en Burgos, San Sebastián y Las Palmas donde el agua de grifo es exquisita.

Sin embargo, un estudio científico de 2014 afirma que el agua potable que consume la población de Reino Unido contiene restos de drogas, ibuprofeno, cafeína o medicamentos para la epilepsia.

This is a beautiful sunset in Plaza de España( Spain Square), Seville.

The building was used as a location in the Star Wars Movie series star wars: Episode II- Attack of the Clones (2002)- In which it featured in exterior shots of the city of Theed on the planet Naboo. It also featured in 2012 film The Dictator

This was built in 1928 for the Ibero- American Exposition of 1929, mixing elements of the Renaissance Revival and Moorish Revival.

Those places are from left to right: La Sagrada Familia, a building that is in Barcelona, Spain and was started by Antonio Gaudí in 1882. The other one is La Sirena del Guatapurí, this is in Valledupar, Colombia. It’s next to a river and was made by the sculptor Jorge Maestre, to remind us the story behind this sculpture that we are going to tell you in next posts. And finally, we have the well-known Big Ben, which is in London, England and was made by the architects Augustus Pugin and Charles Barry, and was finished in 1859.
