I’m not doing well and I think I’ve been in denial that after all the work I’ve done to heal, I can still be depressed. I had a really great routine at the start of this year. I felt amazing. But then I got sick. Like down for the count sick and although it’s been almost a month, I still haven’t fully recovered. My apartment is a mess. I’m up until 1am on TikTok and eating like garbage. And I keep waiting for someone else to fix my problems or make me feel better and we all know that’s not how that works.

It’s been just over a year since I’ve been on this site. I decided to log in again because I’m a little sad and frustrated and need a neutral space to vent. But first, life update:

I’M ENGAGED! 💍👰🏾‍♀️💒

Currently planning and prepping for the most magical, gay-ass wedding ever! I have my first appointment to try on wedding dresses and even though I let them know like 2 months in advance NONE of my bridal party can make the appointment. So it’s just going to be my mom and future mother in law which is causing a lot of anxiety because I was hoping my bridesmaids would be a sort of buffer between me and my mom’s inevitable body shaming comments.

Also I don’t trust either of these women in their late 60s and early 70s to take pictures and videos for me. And I’m super bummed that my first bridal appointment already isn’t going as I planned.
