Hello Everyone, I finally got this thing up and running (finally, because I've been so terribly busy with all the really challenging work we encounter in week one of Uni.... umm....) Anyway, I arrived here, got in the shuttle and drove about an hour to Thousand Oaks, where California Lutheran University is located. I got out of the car and quite literally almost melted, we were in the peak of the peaks of the summer when I arrived and I knew instantly this heat would be rather troubling. We had a truckload of orientation events, some of which were awesome, some of which..... weren't, but soon enough we got into the thick of the school work. Which lands me about here, I have two quizzes on tuesday, an honours essay due in 10 days, and the biggest pre season tournament of the year in about a week. Yay for ridiculous overload of stuff. Trainings have been really good here, and the facilities we have are out of this world. Like utterly incredible. Everyone here is really friendly and the university has a beautifully tranquil setting and atmosphere about it. The accent has been something of a humorous entity here, people's reactions tend to vary from "wow, where are you from" all the way to "ooooooohhhh mmyyy gooossssh?!!?!!?!? where are you from?!?!?!" Followed by a bunch of hilarious questions that typically involve Sheep, Australia, the All Blacks, and of course, hobbits. Food here is amazing..ly abundant. It's everywhere, and everything in my cafeteria is made to order. If the Americans have got just one thing right, it is how to make a damn good cheeseburger. Well thats probably it for now, basically just a summary of what's been happening. Bye bye for now.
