It is the first winter that Chloe Beale and Beca Mitchell are spending in New York City. Chloe isn't handling the colder temperatures, shorter days, and gloomier skies. And she really is missing her favorite holiday themed snack treat. Beca to the rescue as she races to .... Secaucus?!?

BeChloe Week 2024: Day Seven - Navigating the Storm

Beca Mitchell is a Junior Producer at Residual Heat. Chloe Beale is her assistant - who in true Chloe fashion has become Beca's friend as well. Chloe has noticed that lately Beca just seems ... off. Down. Depressed. Something isn't right. Chloe tries to help Beca through her journey of self-discovery and to navigate the bumps along the way.

“Yeah, but, being attracted to a man is …”

“Is … what?” Beca’s voice had turned hard as granite. Her eyebrows narrowed. Even the most clueless man would recognize that he was walking on thin ice.  

“NORMAL!” Jesse blurted. “It’s normal. What you’re supposed to do. You’re supposed to be attracted to guys.”

Beca face fell. She was shooting daggers at Jesse. “So, you’re saying I’m not NORMAL.” 

“No,” Jesse floundered. “I mean … you’re normal … it’s just … it is weird. You just aren’t gay! You’re normal.”

I only was able to pull off two of the prompts ... for now. I hope to go back and fill in the blanks. This one ended up growing far bigger than I imagined, so it devoured all my time.

Bechloe Week 2024: Day One - Daring a Dumbass

I jumped the gun and posted this Monday because I thought Bechloe Week started on Monday. Alas, I was wrong. I won't be able to do all of the days, but I do have a few offerings - starting with this one.

Beca and her best friend Stacie are out at a local club. Beca is just sitting like a lump at the bar, so Stacie dares her to kiss the hottest woman there. Beca spots a redhead across the room and sparks fly.

Stacie got an evil look on her face. Beca winced, fearful of what was coming. “I think you should find the hottest woman in here and just walk up and kiss her.” 

“No fucking way.” Beca shook her head. “Ain’t happening.”

Stacie leaned closer to her friend and locked eyes with her. In a dangerous tone, she said, “I dare you.”

Beca’s eyes flew open. “You bitch.”

Ho, ho, ho! Pitchmas is getting closer! I hope you are still behaving. I don't want you to get any coal. Your Christmas present is getting rather large! Would you like the elves to wrap you one huge present or several smaller ones to enjoy one day after the next? Ho, ho, ho! Merry Pitchmas!

I love opening presents, so have the elves wrap up several smaller presents. I’m getting excited to see what I’m getting!

Ho, ho, ho! Merry Pitchmas. I hope you’ve been good this year. Now, I’m not a perv so I won’t ask you to sit on my lap 😉 , but I do want to know what you want for Pitchmas. This Santa is a writer but is fairly versatile in ships, genres, and themes. So wish away Ferretboy74!! I’m excited to get the holiday Bella-elves started.

Awesome! I love it. I’m a Bechloe fan. Not super into angst or smut. I love tropes like single parent, new parents, pretend relationship to real relationship. I don’t want to restrict you too much. I’m just excited to see what you come up with!!

For the prompt "Celebrity Scandal." Beca Mitchell is a music producer who has a reputation for causing trouble. She used to be a well known singer who seemed to burn out in a self-inflicted crash. Chloe Beale is a beloved pop princess. She's a hit machine who is on a perpetual hot streak. When the two women are paired together for a music project, will sparks fly or will explosions reign?

Bechloe Week 2023: Day Three - The Violet Hour

I tried. I really did, but the story fought me. So here is another offering from my stories from The Civil Wars' album "Barton (Barden) Hollow." This is based on the instrumental piece "The Violet Hour." If you squint really hard, you can maybe see one of the characters being lost ... in a metaphysical way.

Violet squirmed and fussed.  Beca shushed her and stood up.   “Vi, let’s give Mommy some more time to sleep.”  As she bounced her daughter and walked around the room, Beca kept chatting with her baby - her voice soothing Violet.   “You want to hear a story?  I’ll tell my sweet girl a story - even though she can’t understand me.”  Beca chuckled to herself.  Clearly the fatigue was setting in if she already had resorted to dad jokes.

The web of cameras, DNA tracking, surveillance drones, and a beefed up police force have combined together to frustrate anyone who wishes to dispose of another human being. There is only one avenue remaining to those needing to erase someone - the past.

Beca writes Chloe a note telling her everything. Professing her love. Nothing happens. Lots of stories have Beca as the clueless one, or the one dragging her feet. Also it is common to see the two drift apart. This one doesn't do either of those things. After 20 Years of spending life together, will the Bellas' Reunion change things between the two women?

The Bellas are in a shambles. Thanks to Amy's shenanigans, the group is on the verge of being shuttered forever. They have to win the World Acapella Championship in Copenhagen. But they have to get there first. How does a broke and discredited organization come up with over $20,000? Can Christmas magic help The Bellas make their dreams a reality? And, can an elf help Beca and Chloe to overcome their fears to admit to their feelings?
