Foreign Exchange 2015 Winner-Michelle Dapra Atkinson
Austin, Texas-based photographer, Michelle Dapra Atkinson goes beyond the technique of macro photography to explore an imagined life of insects. Â The evolution of her bug stalking project began with a decade long series of insects and spider portraits. Atkinson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in photojournalism. Â Her work has appeared in many publications including the Dallas Observer, the Austin Chronicle, The Washington Post, and Rolling Stone Magazine. Â In 2015 she exhibited her bug-stalking series at the Julia C. Butridge Gallery in Austin, Texas.
