Volodymyr Schmidt's song is Madonna's 'Human Nature'
I’ve seen a lot of speculation that Andriy Lagovsky isn’t gay, but bisexual. But the most accurate description would be that he is an asexual gay
Andriy doesn’t like dirty jokes, as we can see from his resentment towards Volodymyr, who often makes them; he finds romantic interactions with women—that is, with Zoya—exhausting, although this interaction is absolutely identical to his attitude towards Apollon, Kostyantyn and Volodymyr, yet it is less taxing, whether due to his attraction to men or the knowledge that this interaction lacks a sexual context. Let us also recall how drained and devastated he was upon witnessing Volodymyr’s sexual encounter with Amalia. When Volodymyr recounts his sexual escapades, Andriy remains detached. Let us also recall his reaction to Volodymyr’s accusation of homosexuality, when Andriy suggested that the ‘defilement’ of Volodymyr’s brothers was a literal defilement, not a metaphor
Andriy Lagovsky may also appear to be bisexual due to his indifferent, asexual attitude towards both sexes
Young Andriy Lagovsky is very special to me
He’s like the child I never had, I cry when he cries
I needed information about the customs of the Scythians, so I read and read and found this:
"Scythians who decided to become brothers swore an oath of loyalty to one another. They would then cut their arms with a sword and pour the blood into a cup of wine. By drinking this mixture, the Scythians became sworn brothers for life. The oath-taking ritual also included an exchange of weapons."
"A Scythian who killed an enemy for the first time had to drink the enemy’s blood after the battle; warriors presented the king with the heads of the enemies they had slain, thereby demonstrating their military valour. The scalps were removed from the slain and hung on a horse’s bridle. Cloaks were made from the skins of the slain enemies. Quivers were lined with the skin of the enemy’s right hand, and bowls were made from the skull of the most hated enemy."
Maybe I took that a bit too literally.
But I don’t regret it
Де би ще жив заможний український хлопчик, як не в Одесі?
Suffer, my children! Torment yourselves!
Antoine and his stupid pencil
Paul and his mom :p (don’t let the fact that they differ so much in design put you off)
I like the way Victor asks Eli if he has eaten or slept at all. Because he says it so indifferently and sloppily, but I can see it all
Victor is a subtle caregiver. He's always asking people if they're hungry. He buys bags of groceries for Sydney cuz he wasn't sure what she liked. He asks Sydney several times if she's hungry. He brings a tub of noodles from the Chinese food place directly to her -- he knew that's what she'd want. He offers her cocoa. He takes care of Dol and Mitchel, too. He feeds Dol pizza crusts but stops the dog from eating chocolate cuz it's toxic. He knows Mitchell drinks chocolate milk.
When Sydney and Victor have an argument, Victor doesn’t apologise, but, he brings her some sliced apples
Paul is just a lil mouse (take a look at the actor playing him and you’ll see what I mean)
I’ve only just realised that Paul and Antoine have been assigned the colours red and white (these lads could play ‘Poland or Monaco?’, right, sorry about that joke). But that’s literally them:
ANTOINEEEE
I'm surprised I didn't abandon this project, but here's this cute little boy (holding a communion bread in his hand)
I got the colour a bit wrong, so this pink one turned out much lighter
PPAAAAUUULLL
This is the first part, and I hope to finish painting Antoine soon (communion bread in his hands)
My obsession with "The Young Prince" comes back to me every year, like a bout of depression, and I’m not complaining
So I ended up with 7 pages of A4 text in font size 7, and that's without any editing (and I'm definitely going to add to it, not take anything away). Most likely, I'll split this one large section into two ("the great flood" and "the secret supper"/"the forbidden fruit")
When you hear "the Ukrainian question" or "the Ukrainian problem," it is never about economics or culture... never...
