long lost soul

Well guys.... I'm still around even though I am hardly ever on this blog anymore. 

I still adore Family Force 5 and will be seeing them twice in the next few days. I'll see them Thursday in TN and then Sunday in AL. 

It's a pretty special time because I am bringing my FF5 tshirt quilt and I am going to let the guys see it and the also have squares to sign and I am going to embroider their signatures when I get back home.

I'm pretty excited. I will post pictures when I get it finished and I will post stories of my adventures at the concerts.

my story for Family Force 5 concert number 12....

Just let me say that seeing these guy perform is a high priority on my to do list, so anytime they come within 8 hours from one of the three cities that I consider home, I will more than likely be there. This happened to be one of those 8 hour trips, and it was absolutely worth it.

I'll admit, while I was standing in line for the meet and greet, I teared up when I didn't see Soli and there was a stranger dancing around in the tent with the guys I have loved for 7 years. As I walked up to the table Jacob was first in line and he greeted me with so much love and kindness it made all of my worry go away. His exact reaction was, "Hey girl!!! It's been a while since I've seen you! The last time was Rock and Worship Roadshow, right? Come here give me a hug!! *we hug* How have you been doing?" from then on we had a little chat about the new set up before I headed down the line. Next was Derek, he was texting so I stood there for a second and then I was like "Hey! High fives all around!" and he looked at me, got a big smile on his face and said, "HEY!! I know you!" and gave me a high five. Then I made my way on down the line with high fives because I had already taken up enough time and I still wanted to get a picture. So I got next to Josh and he put his arm around me *swoon* and I turned to him and asked him if he could do me a HUGE favor and he said, "yeah sure, of course!" and i said, "will you pretty please smile for this picture?" He then got that big adorable real life grin on his face then turned and posed for the camera with a terribly fake smile until the guy finally took the shot, but at least I got him to smile for real when we were talking. I am obsessed with the picture I got with them, it is currently my background on everything.

The show was absolutely incredible. Jacob, Josh, and Nate did an awesome job with vocals and Teddy KILLS it on the drums. It was immaculate. During Earthquake, when Nate was doing the opening scream, he blacked out. It was terrifying to see his eyes roll in the back of his head and watch him fall back, but a few seconds later he was right back up and singing and playing like nothing happened. The rest of the guys kept playing, but were all so worried and kept coming up to him to check on him. Jacob is an AMAZING front man. He came over to where I was standing a bunch of times and grabbed on to my hand a couple times and would make eye contact and smile at me, then during Love Addict he came over and held the mic down for me to sing it. Those guys and their concerts will always be my best release.

Although it is very different, it is still an incredible show that I will refuse to miss whenever they come close. They have so much energy and still give out the most enthralling entertainment I have ever experienced in all of my 22 years of life. I adore them.

Once a 5er, always a 5er.

Seriously, go see the new Family Force 5. You won't regret it.

slightly worried about this weekend.......

i know that jacob is going to KILL at being lead singer, but part of me still feels like i will be standing there crying my eyes out because i do not do well with change and i will miss getting a hug from soli. 

trying to prepare myself to go in with a positive attitude because i know it will still be an amazing show.
