Nat: good news
Nat: I pet a cute dog today
Midnight Memories ➠ Jotalliya
Jordan wanted nothing more than for the earth to crack and swallow her whole at this moment. She felt stupid for some reason, not betting on Natalliya, but because she felt stupid for carrying to bouquet of flowers in her hand. She stood there awkwardly for awhile waiting for Nat to take which flower she’d like and when she did, she placed her hands behind her pocket and smiled nervously. “So, I’m suppose to give you the best date you’ve ever had in your life. Do I have pointers on what I’m actually up against with?”
In truth, Natalliya had never been the girl to receive flowers before. She didn't know quite how to respond, except take the red roses off of the girl before her. "I don't normally do dates," she replied, as if that weren't blatantly obvious in her demeanor. With her lack of care, it wasn't surprising that she didn't win everyone over that way. "And I don't do cheesy. All I ask is for something fun. Think you can manage that?"
Midnight Memories ➠ Jotalliya
Jordan adjusted her reading glasses as she stood outside the door which she assumes is Natalliya’s. The bid for Nat was purely for fun, she didn’t actually expect to win let alone be on a date with her, but she thought it’ll be a way to get to know this mysterious blue haired girl so why not. The tall brunette knocked softly on the door as she had two sets of bouquette in hand, one was red roses and the other was red. Not knowing what the other girl would like, she made sure to buy both because like what google had told flowers were essential during dates. Yes, Jordan googled what to do on dates because she was as experience as a baby would be.
Signing up for the auction had been a stupid joke; Natalliya certainly hadn't expected anyone to actually bid on her, let alone bid as much as they had. It came somewhat as a relief when she found out it was Jordan she had landed a date with, since at least she knew the girl was someone she could actually stand. With little preparation on her part, Natalliya was shocked to find Jordan at her door holding bouquettes in her hand. She tugged at the empty belt loop of her skinnies and smiled, "Um, thank you?" Remembering to play nice was something she was going to aim for today.
“Just let me have one night to just drink alright?”
“Do I really look like I’m stopping you? Go, have another.”
Time to move further away from the equator, preferably somewhere where it snows.
Don’t really see all the hype about snow. Who can honestly say they want to freeze their ass off?
“I’m highly unsure that’s how thats suppose to look.”
“I’m highly unsure I asked for your opinion.”
You can go ahead and complain. I don’t mind because I feel the same way.
Your idea of fun isn’t the same as mine.
Right. So uh… how are you?
Bored. There’s fuck all to do around here, but I don’t think you’re the person I should be complaining to.
“You know, I’ve been going through a bit of an existential crisis, so I’m gonna tell you what I wish someone had said to me: No one gives a shit about whatever awful thing gave you that chip on your shoulder. But those bad things are never going to leave you, and they’re going to keep getting worse unless you grow the fuck up and allow yourself to experience some of the beautiful things life has to offer.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about or why you think that I want to take your advice. It’s nice you’ve got your shit together or whatever, but I don’t see what that has to do with me.”
“If Google doesn’t have the answer. you owe me a drink”.
“Deal. You owe me two if it does.”
“I’d rather just keep it real, but thanks for your input.”
“Suit yourself.”
“Sorry,” Nell shrugged, the Canadian long ‘o’ making an appearance. “Not a strength of mine, I guess.”
“You should learn. I’d teach you, but I have better things to do with my time.”
So I’ve been told.
I’m not surprised.
I don’t really care about it right now. I just really like her and she’s worth it.
I really doubt that. Remember this conversation when you’re drowning in your own self pity in a few weeks, tops.
“Right. Of course. I don’t know why I even bother…”
“I don’t know why you do, either. It would save us both time if you remembered not to.”
