hello again~ >w> humbly requesting Lore, Fantasy, and Eros for Reiji!

Thank you! Sometimes it feels like people just dont wanna hear about Reiji and wait for the others to come back DX it's not true, but... ANYWAYS, I have a lot of lore to craft and talk about and jusy need the nudge XS the joys of taking a fictional world and saying "this is mine now."

📜 Lore - What vampire lore does your f/o adhere to? Are they more traditional or modern? You can use this to talk about their source if you want :)

So, definitely not the traditional bloated corpse coming back to life, but no, he doesnt sparkle Twilight style either. I suppose, more accurately speaking, he is more akin to a human-like deamon. Demon? However you wish to spell it. Despite that, however, the church doesn't actually have power against them. Holy water, crosses, sunlight, garlic, none of those actually do anything (tho there has been moments in the series where religious things made some of them uncomfortable?) In canon lore they were human once? Maybe? Its messy, so I'll share some of my working lore Im making myself:

They were, probably several thousand years ago, human, or similar enough, and as for how they have their own world, probably magic, as magic is indeed real in some ways (for lack of better terms, Human World and Demon World). The demons have their own language, culture, politics, but for a long time now, thanks to the king, Karlheinz, and his obsession with humans, human culture has been integrated and built into demon culture.

✨️ Fantasy - If they're a vampire they've gotta have powers. What are they? Do they have any that are unique to them?

Before inheriting his father's powers, Reiji had nothing too special compared to other vampires. An immortal life (he was born early 1800s), increased regeneration with few things able to kill him, (apparently flight during th full moon was a thing in a few game moments. Not sure thats in my lore tho XD), strength far greater than a physique like his should have, enhanced senses, and inhuman speed; whether or not he and others can teleport or they're simply that fast and silent is... debatable.

Any form of actually spellcasting? I don't beleive he has any particular special powers until he inherits his father's (or maybe he does, but have yet to see or plot any yet. Perhaps he can conjure fire and things like that... hmm... It think that would be regualr demon power). Once Papa's magic is his tho, there's time manipulation, dream walking, a few other things, some of which my insert gets to use as a side effect as well.

and OH, one more thing I remembered which might not count as a power per say, but I say it is. Vampire and their kin have feline-like eyes (of fun colors too), and thus... they behave as such too. Yes, they tend to be slitted pupiled, and yes, they dialate like a kitty when excited too.

🫀 Eros - How physically affectionate do they allow themself to be with you? Do they ever worry about hurting you?

Alright, some old canon Reiji lore! In the early games when everyone was a bit crueler, there was an interesting thing they chose to do with Reiji. He was, the sophisticated character, prim, proper, manners were everything and it all had to be perfect. So, if he swung so far in that way with manners, what heppens when he's faced with extremely primal desires. They gave him, arguably, some of the most feral drinking and bloodsucking sounds. Pardon if this is too much information, but they have him gulping, gasping for breath like he's drowning and suffocating and just needs MORE (and frankly to me it is kinda hot >,>). it gives a beautiful dichotomy between man and monster, and how he tries so hard to contain that beast.

Anyways maybe I got carried away and distracted... So back to the question at hand. Reiji, on a usual basis, is affectionate, but politely so. He isn't huge on PDA, but in private he is all for affection. He is, in general, sweet. Thoughtful of me, mindful of what I like and not. It's rather normal in comparison to a regular couple, and then a husband and wife. You know, minus the blood sucking. These vampires don't NEED blood persay, but it's highly desirable, and something they crave. It is also, in a way, part of the culture. Lovers feed off of one another in a way to bond, as chaste or intimate as a kiss can be. So Reiji only feeds on my insert. He is usually able to keep it together, he has practiced, but he can be rough at times accidentally, especially at the full moon, as (even though you usually hear of werewolves and the moon) they lose a bit of reason and grow more impulsive at that time.

Does he worry about hurting me? Ar times, yes. He knows it would take just a moment, just one lapse in judgment and I could get hurt. And he doesn't want to be without me.

7) Is there anything they just can’t stand?

Okay, that out of the way, there are... a lot... of things that irk him. He's an orderly man, so things out of place is a big one (his brother Ayato steals Reiji's gloves often, only the left ones, mind you). He also has an aversion to certain textures of fabric and the like. He likes his quiet a lot, so noises that are out of place bother him, and while he manages with wreaks schedules, they're still quite draining for him.

10) What’s an especially noteworthy trait they have?

Reiji seems, at a glance, cold, cruel, calculating. And he is calculating and sometimes cruel, but he's actually a real softy. He enjoys helping others, being needed (though it wouldn't kill everyone else to say thank you once in their lives). And he has a suprisingly strong moral compass, though granted, he lost it for a while and lived with a lot of repressed guilt.

while I take a break from drawing and trying ONCE AGAIN to perfect Reiji's hair, I might as well bring up how he feels about his hair!

On one hand, he feels proud that it's like his father's once was, the lovely dark hue (with those little bits of white on the tips which... thats another story). But, that's where it stops for his liking it.

Now, Reiji is straight laced about a lot of things, appearance being one of them. and his hair, is UNMANAGEABLE! with just enough waviness to the thick, silky hair, it wants to lay in all sorts of ways. He's grown used to having to reason with it, styling it best he can while also just letting it be free, so long as it lays nicely enough.

I will HAPPILY use that gush pass to discuss some of the overarching plot of my (barely written) book trilogy for Reiji and that world's Evelyn insert!

Yes, that's right. A trilogy. I want to write a whole trilogy, and I DO have a lot of bits and pieces. I just need to... you know, write it? I have, some of it, anyways. Stuff I have finished I do have on Ao3.

So, for starters, the franchise as a whole, Diabolik Lovers, or just DiaHell, or DiaLovers. Long story short it's a sadistice vampire otome game (and bad with good music anime. Seriously, the anime is nit good, but I regularly listen to an hour playlist of the music) with vampires who wanna suck the MC's blood and in general they all kinda... suck. XD At first. As the series got fleshed out and more games came out, some got character arcs, more were introduced, and the lore is a MESS.

Now, where I come into the series is my college bestie showed me the anime. ...then she showed it to me AGAIN a year later and I sleepily latched onto Reiji, and it spiraled as I found his game development extremely alluring. Eventually tho, I had to break away from the messy plot that goes on and make it my own, and I started crafting my story.

THE PLOT

So, right off the bat, there's a lot of religious imagery and the likes, and I, having grown up religious and just, honestly, sitting in a wierd spot with it for years now, lean into it as probably more the the original series did (they likes the aestetic. I add the LORE XD). There's also some time and fate stuff going on. See, Karlheinz is the king of demons, and vampires, and the church sends 'brides' upon request to appease them. Sacrifices, really, and for some reason, quiet Evelyn was picked by name. And, she was picked specially for Karlheinz's son, Shuu.

That's Reiji's elder brother.

Karlheinz and his plans are wierd to pinpoint. He had almost godlike powers, can see into the future, turn back time, enter dreams; so even I don't know if he originally planned or wanted Reiji to fall in love with his chosen Eve (Adam and Eve? this is just the start of the bible stuff. Literally XD Karlheinz wants some dhampir grandkids I guess >,> ). Anyways, Reiji starts to fall for Evelyn, and her for him. The two click and better each other in this situation, but... she isn't his. She may not even end up Shuu's if, by the end of this prospective bride time, Karlheinz deems her unworthy.

So thats the full first book in short. The starting of falling in love, Reiji starts to show that murder is not beneath him if need be (of course Evelyn doesn't want Reiji to kill Shuu), and Karlheinz says she is fit to be wed!

🍐 - does your f/o have any nervous ticks or idle quirks they do? like mindlessly tapping on a desk or fiddling with their hair when they're stressed?

Reiji is one to mess with his glasses, fixing them. He also messes with the edge of his glove. Pacing is yet another, but moreso for when he's alone.

🫒 - what kind of hugger is your f/o? do they give good hugs? do they like hugs? do they like receiving hugs?

He is one to do tight, firm hugs. He would claim he isn't a hugger, but once he's in an embrace, he realizes how touch starved he is. His long limbs wrap around me and snuggly, and refuses to let go until he has had his fill. (I was thinking of this game CG actually >,>)

🥥 - what hobbies does your f/o have? is there any hobby they would like to get into that they haven't tried out yet? what is it?

After a couple hundred years of trying to stave off boredom, Reiji has picked up a... few hobbies XD He is an avid reader, always hungry for knowledge, with his preferred books being botanical or medical in nature. He loves cooking and baking. He isn't a gardener per say, but he enjoys growing some flowers and herbs: for tea, medicinal, or poisonous. On the subject of tea, this man is OBSESSED. Tea and the fine china that goes with it is this Autistic vampire's hyperfixation.

Like, Reiji can go on for hours about a single cup and the perfect tea to pair with it. HOURS. and I love him for it. ^3^ He is, in fact, the one that made me learn to prefect my craft of brewing.

So, and I will elaborate, but Reiji... is a Disney princess. It's a joke I've made for years now, because he just has a some of those classic princess traits, and it's fun to say.

The first thing, he 'wants more'. Ive always thought of a frw lines from Belle that suit him just perfectly "for once it might be grand, to have someone understand, I want so much more than they've got planned." This man so badly wants to be king (I could mention lion king here too, but he isn't 'can't wait', its a desire). His mother pushed and always told him he would make a fine advisor for his brother. But that isnt what Reiji wants, he wants more than that!

Another princess thing which, frankly, is why I say this the most, is how good he is with animals. While people can be difficult, he understands the social cues and how to act, but animals are more genuine to be around and to he liked by. There's a canon instance in one of the games where a wild dog gets into the house and absolutely causes havock. No one knows what to do and can't stop it until Reiji comes along and settles it down, leashes it, and takes it where it needs to go. (I swear, if he wanted, he could probably sing to them and they'd flock Snow White style XD)

leaving the 'princess' joke for Reiji aside now, a few more random fun facts. No, he doesnt always close his eyes when kissing. Reiji is the kind of vampire who stares a bit more than he should.

He also, when drinking (there are some kinds of alcohol that affects vmpires), he is a weepy drunk. He gets super emotional, clingy, crying, a sweetie. For someone who is so put together and stiff, its a wild switch for him.

(like, look at thus CG. Look how silly he is >,< Also, there was an older Drama CD with all the brothers getting very tipsy, that was when he was a sobbing mess ober his brothers and kinda accidentally knocked out a few of them. It was a wild ride)

Reiji is quite comfortable with gifts in both giving and receiving. That being said, a mindless gift from someone he cares little about is worthless to him. So what would he like? If it's tea related, it better be good quality; he will admit he is a snob. A good book, if he doesn't have it yet would he good. A plant. Really, the main thing is it was intentional. Something someone he loves gives a gift saying "I thought of you. This made me think of you."

since I already did the other one you asked (its over here), I'll do my usual silly of picking one nearby on the game.
