who would win in a fight vampire hunter d or alucard from castlevania
I think my favorite thing about the VHD novels is the ever present theme of extant decay; the dichotomy between the eternity of Nobility and their once magnificent culture who used to be boundless as the stars and the rugged humans who persist in the face of their failing empire, destined to outlast them. D, who straddles and binds the line between mortal and immortal, earning their hatred and love. He too, has an end, and he too, continues on until that day comes.
Nature, but tangible and intangible is inevitable. From the bloodlust that will one day hold dominion over D's constitution to nature reclaiming and rebuilding over civilizations. Nobles may be extant but it is in human nature to hunt down, even in self-defense.
In Bloodlust (based from the third book) Carmilla's ultimate folly is that she believed that she was above nature. That because Nobles live long that Nobles were an exception to the rule. Because of her egotistical stance, she affixed her very being to the castle, so that it never crumbles, even without maintenance. Even the advanced architectures of VHD Bloodlust are implicated in the source material's subtext!

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust conjures a world where silence reigns, shadows linger, and every reflection hints at a deeper mystery. A haunting blend of gothic elegance and surreal stillness, etched in marble and memory ~

D as an angel would be the most magnificent thing my eyes could ever see
His beauty would be almost incomprehensible, too vast for human eyes to behold
His wings would be gigantic, immense, oversized, made of black feathers
He would be silent you wouldnât even hear him arrive, flying (Or perhaps the loud sound of his wings beating the air around him) while the light emanating from him and his dark wings protects you and wraps around you
I can see that
My eyes are blessed
Your idea is amazing and this is what I would use as a pose reference for Angel!D, but with a more ethereal appearance like the one you described ofc (the painting is called âFallen Angelâ by Roberto Ferri)
i got a little sentimental looking through my old works and wanted to post these two from 2 years ago(time sure flies)
Vampire Hunter D icons for the babes. More eventually when I fucking remember to do them. In more gay variety of course. Stay tuned!
Ok listen. D being in a survival horror game wouldn't be viable. One of the cornerstones of survival horror is that you are a Person in a Situation and you're much vulnerable. Your very existence rings the dinner bell to the resident creeps and ghouls and beasties. A walking meatbag. Survival horror is about taking it slow and letting the ambiance sink into you. We instead need a Fromsoft game a la Bloodborne that pays more respect to VHD's dynamic battle sequences.
You aren't fighting bosses.
You are the boss.
Battles are brutal and unforgiving. You yourself must become something bestial and unknowable to survive. The blood that stains you galvanizes you. The very visage of this should scream to those passing by 'You should have seen the other guy....'
Despite the nature of shedding oneself to practically become a beast, just remember: a hunter must hunt.
THIS EXISTS ITS CALLED VAMPIRE HUNTER D PS1
There lies the issue though. It's not feasible to frame a survival horror game around an Unstoppable Force. You're not just someone hired to save a woman from a vampire.
You are Dracula's Success. A Pallid Machine of Death. There's no fear involved with running out of ammunition for your weapons because you are the weapon. You aren't locked in with the monsters. They're locked in with you.

A Silent Realization D x Reader
The fire crackled softly in the distance, casting flickering shadows against the stone walls of the abandoned outpost they had taken shelter in for the night. It was coldâtoo cold for a human to be comfortableâbut Y/N hadnât complained once.
Thinking of this scene where D uses his powers to kill the spiritual half of Carmilla. Itâs less a âHoly shit, Dâs powerful!!â scene and more of a warning of what heâll be when his nature takes him.Â
Those bared fangs⊠those near animalistic, murderous eyesâŠ.Â
Itâs not a matter of if, but when heâll make a meal out of anything with a pulse. Nothing lasts forever.
Also whoever is tasked with hunting him will have a hell of a fight on their hands.
The realization of this plunges you into quiet horror, at one time you kind of understand that this is exactly what will happen to D but⊠You donât want him to become like thisâŠ
