So...I just got back from Melbourne. Picked up my Nationals DVD from my old gym while I was there. Just wondering...Why did no one tell me I had my skirt on backwards? I’m the only one with the star on my left hip.

They’re one of my favourite teams…                                                      But I spaced out during TGLC’s routine. They didn’t have any hoops to jump through, or leg flags to teach us how to spell, or flippy dippy scorpions. Not a single “what the hell was that?” moment. Needed more theatrics.

Understand that I have ADD, so I space out a lot. Routines that have creative movements hold my attention more, so that’s why I’ve always liked Top Gun and CheerForce. Like ice skating, which has an artistry score, Cheer also has points for performance, so I personally would classify it as a performance sport. I do like the flags etc, as I find them funny, but by ‘theatrics’ I certainly did not mean just props. I was talking about unique motions and exciting presentation, which I found the Cheetahs did well.

Before the butt bow, came butt ruffles. And along with them, one of the most amazing routines ever. That fabulous choreography. Those majestic uniforms. The glorious colours. No one can convince me otherwise.
