annabeth was killing herself to meet this deadline , and the line at the coffee shop was not making it any easier to stay awake . it was at least a mile long , but there was no other place she would get her fix anywhere else . “ care to help me stay awake ? ” she asked the person in front of her in line , maybe they were in the same boat , “ maybe play twenty-one questions ? ” she was joking , obviously , but if it started a conversation she wouldn’t be mad.
