@fifi-grayson
before 2014 ends inbox me one thing you’ve always wanted to know or say to me and i’ll reply to it
That sounds amazing.
Could you explain Quidditch to me too? I went to a game for a few minutes, but… I was really confused.
We'll have a Quidditch breakdown 101, it'll be easy to understand, you'll get it in no time.
He shrugged, not knowing if she was being sarcastic or not. “It was the best I could do. When I was little and my sisters would get me mad, they would apologize with a picnic. I did what I knew.” His voice trailed off as she appeared uninterested. “You don’t have to forgive me. But you could at least acknowledge me.”
"I don't like being yelled at, I don't like raising my own voice, I don't like loud noises period," she thought, "Until Christmas, you were the most logical, the most level headed person and I'd just never seen that side of you, I wasn't exactly expecting it either, it just really took me by surprise," she said, "I forgive you because I know you didn't mean to, it's just--it's been quite a day. This is nice, though,"
Alexis looked up at Fiona and saw her face of shock. She pulled her own face, as apologetic as she could make it and muttered “Sorry…” she hadn’t meant to go off like that, but Alexis was a time bomb, that wasn’t news to anyone.
"It's--I'm sure there's a spell that can put this all back together, it's only stuff." Fi nodded and finally moved to her feet.
Thanks so much! I just wanna know if I’m any good at it. I mean, all of the first years tried it with the coach, but it was only once a month and it’s now too cold to do it consistently. Besides, we didn’t get too far, and it looks really fun. I’d always wished I could fly as a little kid, now I can.
Absolutely right. I'm ready when school comes back in, we can do it once a week, maybe twice if you'd like more practice, how'd that sound?
"It looks like a bomb hit it…oh wait…it did." She said, laughing bitterly and putting her head in her hands. "Shit, I can’t believe this is how today is ending."
Fiona looked at her laughing, seeing as she was incapable to do it herself. "I'm sorry that's how your day is ending as well," finally looking around her room, completely speechless, "oh,"
Yash led Fiona out the back of Hogwarts, not towards the front where the court yards were. There was a small patch of grass he had prepared, charming it so the air was warm and the grass was dry, not snowy like the rest. He used his wand, the basket contents coming out neatly; partly to show off his wandless magic, and because it was faster. He sat down, and waited for Fiona to sit down too. “I don’t know why I was so upset. No, that’s a lie, I do. The past couple of weeks have been so frustrating for me. I wanted answers, and I didn’t get them so I exploded. I wish I could go back and re-do that night, because you put so much thought into it, but I can’t. So the most I can do is tell you how sorry I am. And that I’m done asking you for answers.”
Fiona watched the scene formed, she sat down as soon as he did, keeping her eyes straight, and watching the basket being unpacked on it's own while she listened to him, the only thing she could say leaving her softly, "a lot of thought into it," she looked over in his direction, but not looking at him when he apologized.
Alexis nodded, wiping a tear from her face and trying to pull herself together. “Just, don’t tell anyone I lost my shit in here…” she said, looking around the room for the first time and seeing the chaos she had caused. There was broken glass and shattered china everywhere, and not a single thing in the right place. Even a chair was now missing a leg.
"I wouldn't bring you in here if I wanted everyone to know, dear, don't worry," Fiona watched Alexis look around the room as she was completely unable to muster the courage to see what had been done to her hideaway.
She was still shaking as she lay there, breathing in and out, trying to focus on the picture of her daughters face that she had in her mind. Of her on christmas morning, giggling and kicking her little legs as Lexi tickled her tummy. “Just don’t let them take her…don’t let them…” She said, her voice getting quieter as she started to calm down slightly.
"I know it's hard, but where it involves Cayla, you need not to break apart like this," Fiona says, "she needs to know that through all this, her mother kept it together the entire time, you have us and we're going to do our best to keep as much of your family together as we possibly can," Fiona nodded, "is that clear?"
"Wait," he put his hand over the door, his face going innocent. "I’m sorry Fiona. I-uh…" he looked around. "I’d rather not talk right here, where anyone can hear us." He handed her the chocolates, and then held up a picnic basket. "I thought we could eat lunch?"
There wasn't much she could say, in fact, there wasn't much that she wanted to say, but she wanted to hear his apology and she wanted to hea it in the best sound possible, annoyed, she looked away, "fine, let's go,"
Alexis put her head in Fiona’s lap, her whole body still shaking violently. “I don’t have anything else, please don’t let them take her. please…” she begged, her voice torn and full of tears. She didn’t know what else to say. Up until this point she had fooled herself into believing she had time to sort her family out, but now she saw that was far from the case. “Please, she’s the only family i have left…she’s all I have…”
There was absolutely nothing Fiona could do at this point, but she didn't want to see Alexis giving in like this. There was no way she was going to be able to do anything about the marriage, but if they wanted to do something about Cayla, then I'm sure it would be able to happen, she was the mother after all, how could they deny her? Whoever they were, she and Fi didn't even have a plan. "She's not going anywhere, we'll...think of something, alright?"
Yash walked over to the Room he had always seen Fiona going into, a box of Chocolates in his hand. He knocked on it casually, waiting until she opened the door. “Hi.”
Laying on her couch out of sheer boredom and looking up to the ceiling , her want up and creating chips of it to see how many times she'd have to chip it before she ceiling gave in and fell on her. Hearing the knocks on the door, she figured that it was someone she wasn't used to having over, seeing as everyone prior let themselves in. Getting out of her seat and going over to the door, she pulled it open, a confused frown on her face as she looked at him, "what are you doing here?" she asked, her hand at the doorknob at the ready to shut the door.
Alexis just lay on the ground, her head spinning as she made a puddle on the floor next to her eyes from the tears leaking from them. She tried to calm her breath, get control over herself again, but every time she saw her daughter being raised by another woman, another woman standing next to Caden and wearing his ring, she dissolved into a mess again. “I can’t lose her again…” She kept muttering under her breath, over and over again, “I can’t lose her again…”
Finally moving to her friend, Fi pulled Alexis on the floor, there was no way anyone was going to bring Alexis to this much of a low. Even involving her daughter, she wasn't going to let her friend hit the ground. Holding her in her arms protectively, she took a deep breath, hearing and feeling the beating of Alexis' raging heart. Shaking her head in opposition to her statement, Fi felt that there was no way it was going to happen, "you have all of us here for you, Lex, nothing is going to happen to her, no one is going to take her away. You are her mother."
Alexis kept sending things across the room. Anything that would break, anything that would hit the wall with a crash, anything that was near her hands. She kept screaming the whole time, picturing the faces of Caden and some girl she didn’t know at an alter. Seeing this faceless girl holding her daughter. Standing next to her as she blew out her candles on her birthday cake. It was only when Alexis saw this faceless woman, sitting in a hospital bed, introducing her daughter to a brand new baby, that she lost the will to fight and just collapsed back on the floor, sobs racking through her once more.
Fiona saw her friend moving towards the floor, she quickly swung her hand to clear the debris so none of the porcelain and glass chips would hurt her. Fi didn't want to approach her in order to avoid anymore questions about Rory, about what type of person she was, simply because she didn't know anything about her except that she wasn't the nicest of people and she didn't want Alexis to take that into consideration about who was going to be her daughter's stepmother. Sighing nervously, resting her hands on her knees to stop the shaking. She opened her mouth to speak but stopped herself, this was Alexis' moment to go off.
