Hello, call me acguy or wing/wingshad0w. This is one of a few active blogs I have (and one of many, many dead blogs). This is the home of Edward Lyons one of my oldest most self-inserty OC's. Though he's been revamped from his old version on @iamclearlyawizard. Now he's a modern fantasy OC.

Anyways, uh, take a look if modern fantasy OC's interest you. I like to imagine I'm fairly flexible on most things.

Ed is meeting with a regular local, delivery girl Ann. Hope she doesn't have an esoteric concerning experience all of the sudden! "Hey Ann, feelin good?"

From behind a teetering stack of pastries in boxes, Ann smiled in a way that didn't meet her eyes at all- eyes that were dark beneath the brightness, rimmed in red, and highlighted by a glow that wasn't always there. She swallowed, and lied. "Yeah, boss. Never better!"

"Possession? Ed, she's me, just a me that's been... violently orphaned from her prior existence! She... she deserves better. Better than getting kicked out of somewhere when she has nowhere else to go. I mean, if she didn't anchor to me, she'd... she'd be dead, right? Like everything else from her world..." Ann leaned into the stroking, her eyes rimmed in red.

“I know. There’s a new school of possession up and about. While maybe expulsion is an option there’s the inward spirit study. It lets you face whatever it is sharing your body directly, and lets others do so too.”

"...It. It doesn't feel like possession, though." Ann's posture shifts. She leans away from Ed, and draws her knees up to her chest- careful not to put her shoes on the couch, though. "It's me. She's me. Just a different me. She's not some foreign... whatever. She's not even trying to take control..."

"So you're saying someone inside of you who isn't you is normal and conventional and every day, and what you had. And you'd not like to see what's going on with them better?" Ed asked. "I'm not saying we need to purge the outside thoughts, but you should try to understand them. It might just be therapy, but... Look looking into things is hardly a bad idea."

Edward quietly looked over his shoulder with his eyes wide. In the pit behind and below him a few dozen figures stood around a circle with so much magical energy Ed could barely feel himself in the storm of magic. Some nebulous form came from a ritual circle several meters wide in the space. While a few guards with guns stood at the pits entrances. Ed got out his pistol only to spot someone else. His eyes were wide. "Uh... Hi, you with the... Cult down there?" Ed asked. "If so." He inserted his magazine and racked the slide on his glock 19. "I really don't wanna lose the advantage of stealth yet, but."

Robin was crouched low, using his staff to keep his balance. He heard the gun rack back, and he froze up. "Considering you just asked me if I was part of them, I'm guessing you aren't part of that stupid cult... put the gun down." Robin didn't even look back as his trenchcoat blew in the storm of magic.

Ed paused and motioned for the other to come closer. With Ed up against some old half falling apart stone wall. "I called for help... They'd better be fucking coming. But..." He looked over the wall. "We need a lotta dead cultists fast. But I don't wanna die cause... Guards with high powered rifles. And I'd bet some of them can actually shoot." He muttered. "I have an enchanted pistol, but still."

Robin moved over and looked at Edward a moment. "All of that, and you brought a Glock? I hope you have a couple of spare mags or that pistol has some type of magic on it."

"They have guns, but I have..." Robin smirked, tapping his staff on the ground a few times. "A really stupid idea."

"Oh, I have plans A, B, and C. Its just bullets are faster than fireball."

Edward saw the staff and took in a breath. "Do... Do you think magic will be reliable here?" He asked. "Cause... I can feel it. I think anyone can. And... Magic might not be reliable here." He muttered. "I can feel distortion which is... Different."

"Oh, please, normal magic is nothing compared to divine magic." Robin winked and vaulted over the low wall, staying low he made his way closer. "Why do I get dragged into this mess?"

Ed looked. “I think that’s-“. He sighed as the other hopped the wall. “I think that’s a god they’re trying to summon.” With that he pulled out two spare magazines. Attention quickly went Robins way, as while Ed was in shelter the way down was not covered well. Nobody fired, until Ed did. Faint gunshots echoing as the guards with rifles didn’t all go down at once, but they all suddenly were hit, or their rifles were in rapid succession.

Robin wasted no time himself. Using his staff, he disarmed a few guards and robbed one of them of their rifle, a wonderful P90. He checked the weapon, and before he could even shoulder it, it was shot from his hand. "Gods damn it, that's expensive!"

“Who.. who here has a p-90?” Ed blinked as he looked down.

Most of the guards had shotguns or cheaper submachineguns. A p-90 was out of place for the cost.

That being said the slugs from the shotguns were making nice holes in his cover. So Ed elected a simple trick.

Behind him sharpened branches rose up from a pile he might have been working on, and with a thought they went down into the pit striking those around the center circle. Some spells and shot splintering them, but well, it was wood. Splinters weren’t as deadly, but they still hurt.

"Oh thank fuck its finally warming up. Nothings blooming yet, but I can enjoy the outdoors without literally just dying." Edward is happy spring is out.
