i'm on my other blogs rn, and totally healthy and stuff! ...i did get a tattoo today i guess so there's that??????????? but yeah i'm fine c: )

…Uh oh.

He done hecked up.

That was an understatement, honestly. Sure, Mega Man was a ten-year old boy with a reputation for being innocent, heroic and cute, but give him some red optics and a blazing fury (and a fiery colour scheme) and that gave Oil Man a good dose of remember who you’re talking to. Oil prepared to hit the accelerator on his Slider (metaphorically more than literally, seeing as the slider itself was just a board made of oil) when he saw the colours of the Fire Storm, only to frown softly when they changed into the colours of the Thunder Storm. What… was he doing…?

Oil Man didn’t know the mechanics behind the variable tool system. So after the momentary confusion and the switching back to his usual colours for the Mega Buster, Oil decided he’d better do this now while he could do any damage to Mega Man. It probably wouldn’t take long for him to bring on the heat (and boy, did Oil not realize the extent that was so). 

"Aghh—!" He set himself to dodge; but the second shot caused him to stumble and the third knocked him off his Slider. Rather than leave too much of a chance for Mega Man to shoot again, he quickly skidded himself to a stop and hopped right back on the slider, speeding towards Mega Man. He fired several shots, aiming at his face. With any luck, the close range could knock him right onto his back. …They should’ve brought more than one inhibitor collar for this. If Oil had it, he could’ve planned to put it on the hero!

Oh, well— manual disabling would have to do! …Though he knew it was too cocky to assume he even could manage that. Again, this was Mega Man.

The moment of confusion and resulting hits brings a grin to the corrupt robot's lips, though it's swiftly wiped from his face when he realizes he'd done less damage than he thought he would-- Oil's coming right at him! The boy lets ought a cry when a shot or two makes its mark, stumbling back and falling over as he wipes at his face frantically with his scarf, staining the edges of the soft purple fabric black. He can feel the oil spilling from his shattered optic, and it's disgusting!

"Ugh--!"

He then rolls to the side to get some space between himself and his older brother, groaning as he pulls himself into a sitting position. Error messages and warnings to get to Dr. Wily for repairs immediately begin piling up, and the boy presses a hand to his head as he wastes precious seconds deleting them all-- He doesn't need repairs! He can take them all down even with a shattered optic and goodness knows whatever else these messages are telling him-- He's ignoring them as best he can.

No more playing around, that's for certain. Whoever he ran into next, Rock would switch immediately to their weakness and destroy them on the spot. That being said...

The boy gets to his feet again, finally activating the Atomic Fire. Carefully dodging any attempts his brother might make to get a hit on him -- though not caring much if he did get hit -- he charges up his weapon and-- Three-- Two-- One--!

Fire! Fire, and lots of it, rushing towards Oil Man in a pillar! The boy then turns to the paths of oil interlaced around their battlefield, letting loose an uncharged blaze at the closest one. It'd sread, and then there'd really be no escape... Amid the crackle of flames, Oil might hear ominous laughter at his plight...

Looked like Mega Man wasn’t gonna be using his fire weapons! Oil Man didn’t immediately get why, but he certainly wasn’t complaining. Let him stall for Guts Man and Fire Man all the longer. Mega Man wasn’t going to be easy- he knew that. He was probably going to lose- Oil knew that, too. But whatever got the others out with less problems… So he kept his shooting arm raised and ready to fire.

Though, Mega Man with that Clock Hand in his eye registered to Oil Man as a disturbing image. He knew those glitched sometimes- usually they exploded on contact, but more than once there had been… incidents where Time Man threw one at Oil Man and it got wedged somewhere on him. Usually in his face. Once right through his head. Removing it had NOT been fun… and it looked like Rock was taking the worst route to get his out. Eegh.

…And then Mega Man called the baby ‘ungrateful’. Oil Man had said so himself more than once before, but that didn’t mean he liked to be reminded that Time Man barely seemed to care about him enough to give him the time of day, much less actually care about him as a brother. But no matter how much Time Man did or didn’t love Oil Man, the rig-running DLN scowled at the idea of the baby’s being badly hurt being ‘a favour’.

"It don’t matter how he feels about me- he’s still my baby bro," Oil said. "And hell- so are you!" At that point, Mega Man had gone ahead and thrown the Clock Hand, which Oil jumped to dodge; the buster shots weren’t dodged so easily either. One of them smacked Oil in the side of the head, and he barely managed to stay on his Slider. Alright, time to get serious.

Oil didn’t keep his distance from Mega Man, instead eventually skating right towards him, right past his side and doing a sharp turn to add extra momentum to a smack across the back of the head with his oil tank. Afterwards he got back into a short-range approach, firing three blobs in return.

"C’mon! You’ve beaten how many Robot Masters before me? If y’don’t wanna be bored, gimme somethin’ good!"

...Unfortunately for Oil Man, Rock only registered one part of that speech. Whatever intent he had on toying with the experimental Robot Master ultimately flew out the window, replaced with the desire to kill. 

"I AM NOT A BABY!!"

Rock's all but screaming at this point-- Oh, to heck with it. Yep. He's actually screaming. His momentary rage allows Oil to smack him upside the head, sending the boy stumbling and slipping into the oil scattering around him. One of his optics being damaged made a fight with an already speedy opponent all the more difficult, but Rock's not about to go down here. The boy flashes colours as he cycles through his weaponry, settling on the Fire Storm. 

...No. No, the Fire Storm is much too merciful for Oil Man. Hmm... To keep Oil Man at a distance while he de-activates the Thunder Beam to replace it with his other fire-based weapon, Rock continues to yell while wearing its colours.

"I AM THE STRONGEST OF US ALL! I'VE FOUGHT MORE THAN YOU EVER HAVE, AND I'VE COME OUT ON TOP EVERY TIME! EVERY! SINGLE! TIME! YOU'RE NOTHING-- YOU'RE AN INDUSTRIAL ROBOT! DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU'LL HAVE A CHANCE--?! ONCE I'M DONE WITH YOU, I'LL TAKE OUT THE OTHERS, AND THEN THE DWNS WHILE I'M AT IT, TOO! I'M THE ONLY ONE DR. WILY REALLY NEEDS!"

There... Thunder Beam de-activated. Now he just needed to buy time while he uploads the Atomic Fire. Switching back to the Mega Buster for now, Rock fires off two more series of three shots each. While every hit counted, he hoped it would finish soon...

Not because he was worried Oil would defeat him. Oh, heavens no. Because he wanted the DLN dead at his feet. He wanted it now.

Come on, almost there...

(RP Starter) *Trash Man mk I slowly approaches Mega Man* Trash Man mk I: Well, well, well... if it ain't the mass murderer 'imself, Mega Man. Please tell me, how is it destroyin' your own kind? Do ya get plenty of satisfaction from it?

The little robot looks up from where he was lying huddled up in bed, surprise and fear evident in his features. How are people getting into his bedroom?! He's locked the door! Double checked, triple checked even! No one should be able to get in!

Oh, right. Teleport signals. At least his brothers and Roll were respectful enough to not barge into his room that way. Which honestly begged the question-- How exactly did this unknown robot know which room in Light Labs was his?

The question -- and accusation of being a mass murderer! -- causes Rock to flinch, and he curls up within himself in an attempt to seem smaller as rather recent memories flood through his processors: A blown up computer, slicing his dear older brother's legs clean off, then using his weapon to shock more to the point of going offline... Fighting and defeating more of them until an anti-virus could finally, finally be applied and end the carnage... 

"...It's awful," Rock mumbles shakily, voice quiet as a mouse. He didn't want to attract any attention from passersby on the other side of the door, lest they decide to stop being respectful and come 'defend him'. Oh, Rock knows he's horrible. They don't need to pretend otherwise. "All those poor Robot Masters... It's not their fault Dr. Wily created them... T-they could've been so nice, working for anyone else... We could've been fuh-friends, but... They were threatening people. Innocent people who did nothing wrong... I-I hate fighting, and hurting others, but... I-I promised to protect the people who couldn't defend themselves, and I'm going t-to do that..."

Tears slip down Rock's cheeks. "...E-even if they refuse to surrender and f-force me to fight. I-It's okay if you call me a monster... I-I know I am. I'm the w-worst... S-So I'm staying right here until they need me to fight, no matter what Roll and my big brothers say. It's... Only fair."

Rock turns on his side, facing away from the stranger now and staring at the wall. "...C-can I be left alone, please?"

Shadow wasn’t exactly sure how he got in here, either. Was it a Chaos Control gone wrong? He’d been practicing, but he didn’t expect to get this far with it. After all, he normally had better control over Chaos Control than this.

"… It would take a while to explain," he said softly to the robot, not meeting him in the eye. He had to get out of here. "I’m sorry… I don’t mean to intrude. If you could tell me where I need to go…"

"N... No, that's okay. I'll show you out of the lab. It wouldn't be fair to just leave you on your own, mister..."

With that, Rock gets to his feet and trudges towards his door. He unlocks it, and visibly hesitates when it comes to actually opening the thing. He'd vowed to stay put until they needed Mega Man to go after the energy elements. He's too dangerous to be out in the open around other people-- The malware returning to his systems without warning had proved that.

He's very tempted to call it off and simply give the hedgehog directions, rather than actually guide him. But what if he ran into one of the DLNs? He'd end up pointing them to where he came from, which would lead them to trying to get in and convince him that no, he's not a monster. Why they kept trying when Rock knew the truth was beyond him, but he's not about to have anyone waste their time on him because of this.

Noting his hand is shaking Rock steadies it, and takes the door handle again. He opens it as quietly as he dares, half-expecting to be greeted by Oil or Guts or Fire -- any of them, really -- but surprisingly the coast is clear. Thank goodness...

"C'mon," he mumbles, glancing back at his visitor. He would've been so happy to make a new friend before the reprogramming, but now he simply wanted to get the newcomer away from him before something else happened. "The exit's just downstairs."

...Rock doesn't understand how this creature got in his room somehow -- Seriously, he thought he'd locked the door! Otherwise his brothers and Roll kept coming in to try and 'comfort' him... -- but he doesn't have the energy to really try and chase him out. The little robot lifts himself into a sitting position, staring blankly at the hedgehog before him.

"Where'd you come from...?"

It took about fifteen seconds for Oil Man to show up.

The moment he’d received the message- along with the one sent by Time Man earlier, as reception was spotty in this part of the hideout- he decided to ditch Gutsy’s plan and left him and Fire without a word. Elec Man could wait. The baby came first- always.

He showed up near Rock on the Slider no less, shooting the first few blasts of oil at his opponent as he skated towards the damaged Time Man and scooped him up. He didn’t address Rock just yet, setting Time Man away from the fight- and gently kissing him on the forehead before skating back towards Rock and pulling his scarf up over his mouth.

"Heyyy, Mega Man!" Oil Man said, now turned to the aggressive thanks to the attack against their prototypical brother. "You just had to go for the other kids first, huh? Don’t think that’s how y’did it whenever y’fought Wily’s junk-bots." He raised his shooter again- but was well aware that Mega Man was going to light him on fire the second he managed to get a shot in. "Y’know, speaking of those times, y’never did get to fight me or Time-baby one-on-one before while we were stuck with Old Man Wily. You just got one with Time Man, and now it’s my turn! Bring it, kid!"

And so he started moving; and kept moving, as well. He slid around Rock, not quite circling him to prevent being an easy target. Here’s hoping Guts Man and Fire Man could grab Elec and get out in the time it would take Mega Man and Oil Man to fight- assuming Oil didn’t go down in one hit.

...Well, that was fast. The blasts of oil smack Rock in the face, sending him stumbling back and giving Oil that opening to grab their brother and move him out of the way. By the time Oil would return, he'd managed to clear his face and optics of oil... And man, did Rock look irritated. 

"Yeah, well, people always say 'pick on someone your own size', don't they?" The reprogrammed robot taunts, cycling through his weapon index until he reached the Mega Buster once more. "Most of the old man's 'bots are bigger than me! 'Cept Heat Man, but who cares about him?"

Oh, it'd be so easy to just light one of those oil patches and end this now... Heck, he wouldn't even have to hit Oil Man! The sight of the fire would probably be enough to render him a sitting duck! 

But... No. Both Ice and Time Man had been too easy. He wants to play around this time, make Oil Man think he'd be the one to defeat him... And then destroy him. Brutally. And with fire.

Rock grins, watching his brother skate around as he took hold of the clock hand wedged in his eye. It wouldn't last too much longer, with Time Man being down, so he might as well make it count for something...

"You won't be boring like Ice and Time, will you, big brother? Heheh... They both went down so quickly, it was no fun at all! Really though, I did you a favour taking that brat out. He doesn't care about you at all, even though you're so nice and take good care of him... Someone that ungrateful just had to go!"

With that he yanks, yanks, yanks--! Yanks until the clock hand is pulled free from his optics, the sound of shattering components ringing in his audio receptors as he ignores error messages and damage accounts galore. When he thinks he's predicted a path Oil will take he throws the arrow, following it up with three buster shots.

Time Man scowled, the overload on his own systems having far gone past critical. He was still in a state of disrepair, and he sincerely tried, but in the end, it wasn’t enough. He didn’t have the power to overcome Mega Man like he wanted, and he didn’t even fully process what damage he had caused before he felt a massive shock course through his systems.

In one second, Time Man’s systems completely shorted out. His core overloaded, several internal components burst and fell apart, his internal clockwork went haywire. His optics shorted out and when dark, not dull like they should’ve. He didn’t hear Mega Man’s taunt, all he knew was that his mission failed.

> DLN-00A OFFLINE. STATUS: CRITICAL. RETURN TO DR. LIGHT IMMEDIATELY.

In that instant, the reprogrammed Mega Man regretted using the Thunder Beam against Time Man. Not because of how badly he assumed Time Man must have broken -- He was happy about that! -- but because of how little time it had taken for his older brother to go down. As the offline robot slumped against him Rock tosses him aside.

Two down. Six to go. But who next...? 

Hmmm.

As he ponders this, Rock wanders back over to Time Man's body, kneeling next to it and activating his variable weapons system. Would Time Man's weapon data still be accessible in this state...? Not that he needed the Time Slow with the Time Stopper on standby, but he supposed he might as well collect it anyways. If he still could.

...

...

And it turns out he could! The Time Slow is added to the little robot's arsenal, and after a moment of contemplation he de-activates the Rolling Cutter and slots his fallen brother's weapon in its place. He then sets it to the default, his armor changing from blue to purple.

Next on his list was to send a message to his next target.

> Hey, Oil Man! Guess what? I look really good in Time Man purple! Wanna come see? I'd show Time, but he looks pretty zapped right about now. Heheh...

And now... He waited.

I'm sorry. I'm so so so so so so so sorry! I'm sorry I hurt you and was so mean to you... I'm sorry I kidnapped you and hurt our brothers when they tried to save us, I'm... I'm so sorry...

You probably hate me now, and that's okay. Me, too. I'm the worst little brother ever... 

I'm not coming out of my room except for when they need me as Mega Man any more, so you don't have to worry about dealing with me.

Dear Dr. Wily,

I heard Guts Man was blaming you for what happened to me, but I know it's not your fault. I don't blame you at all, and I'm glad I didn't hurt you, Dr. Cossack or Dr. Light in my rampage. 

I'm going to stay in my room until you get a read on the energy elements. I'm too much of a danger to be out and about, and... It's a shame. I wanted to try and make friends with you. For real! That way, when we fixed all your robots still under Ra Moon's control, I could make friends with them too.

I guess some things just aren't meant to be, huh?

Keep trying, okay? I know you're doing your best to turn over a new leaf, and after everything that's happened it'll take a long time to change everyone's minds, but you can do it! I believe in you!

Rock didn't bother finishing the letter, simply crumpling up the paper and tossing it at his door miserably. He'll pick it up later.
