Nathan:Â You have no idea how beautiful you are.
Reconciling the past
Nathan had been in his office, going over what seemed to be an Everest sized pile of paper work. His hand combing back through his scalp as he released a frustrated sigh. As he inhaled an inexplicable sort of shock wave passed over him. For a brief moment his mind flickered and went dark then just as suddenly as it went dim it was lit once again. Vivid and bright images seized his minds eye and he was glad he had already been sitting or he might have fallen from the impact. Blinking a bit dazed, something had undone and things that had been forgotten for nearly thirty years were as clear as yesterday.Â
Nathan Dearborn was not his proper name, no he was Prince Philip and Storybrooke wasn't his home. How had he gotten here, how the hell had he gotten here? A small panic attack flooded through him and his memories as Nathan struggled to make sense of his old life.Â
So much had changed, things that he couldn't have helped and some that he could. A great portion of his memories as Philip and Nathan resonated with one face, that of Dawn---Princess Aurora. A person that he as Nathan hadn't talked to in a month or two since...the incident. In case his mind as Nathan didn't already hate himself for slapping the poor girl, his mind as Philip was fuming at himself. He had been raised better than that, he was better than that. Who the hell was Nathan to use his body and his hand to hurt another?Â
He felt insane, this couldn't be real or happening having two entirely different lives safely tucked into his head now. Was he the only one who was being berated by these images of the past? It was terrifying like some sort of nightmare that you can't wake up from. Thinking to himself that he couldn't be the only one who had gained his memories back, he hoped not anyhow.Â
So This Is A Date?... {Savannah & Nathan}
Nathan saw the apron she offered him and he gave her a grin remembering the pink frilly thing he wore before. “Are you sure blues my color?” he laughed taking it gratefully and slipping it on.
He started rolling the dough out before stretching it a bit more by hand, his less than expert solution was still working to make the basic circle of dough.  Reaching into the bag again and pulling out a jar of grannies tomato sauce, knowing he couldn’t hope to make it better than the diner owner. Swirling a bit on to the pizza as he moved aside to make room for Savannah to assist him. Moving behind her and wrapping his arm around her waist. “Now, since I’m the boss do you have to do as I say?” he chuckled as he asked her. She seemed to make even something as simple as making pizza hard to get through with out having to touch her. Nathan was so absolutely drawn to Savannah, even her less than flattering apron hugged her form and his mind wandered to what was underneath it.
She watched him patiently, or as patiently as she could, before she found herself reaching onto a top shelf for a couple of wine glasses. Placing the glasses on the counter, she watched him swirling pizza sauce on the dough. And then just as suddenly she felt arms wrap around her middle and his happy voice in her ears as she melted. She shivered at his phrasing, unsure if he was being naughty on purpose, but reveling in it just the same.
“Mmmm. Depends on the request.” She added with a cheeky little laugh, before she tilted her head back to press against his shoulder. Wiggling her bottom in a playful little sashay, she glanced back down at their pizza, wondering what he had in mind. “So boss, what would you like done?” She asked, her tone still lingering on suggestive before she slowly placed her hands on top of his, and closed her eyes briefly.
There was something about being wrapped up in him that felt so impossibly right.
Nathan held her and kissed just below her ear as she asked him that question. Pausing for a moment and considering his options, they should finish cooking dinner but he wanted to play so badly. She had that affect on him, he hadn't experience the need to touch and hold and kiss a person constantly ever before in his life.
It was if a magnetic charge had overtaken his body when ever she was close by, "Well I think I'm going to update the dress code," he laughed playfully under his breath.
"Go to the bedroom and come back on with nothing but this apron and heels." He let his arms slide from around her and he moved aside to attempt to finish the pizza even as his mind was tunneled on Savannah. His eyes met hers and his head nodded towards the curtains with the smallest of smiles on his lips.

Check, Point, Match -- Nathan/Savannah
Savannah: That little tramp. If he shows you the black shirt with the lace, the bitch stole that one from me. Savannah: Idle threats there, Nate.
Nathan: Oh, you don't think I could pull that cute ass over my knee and get it red? You're in for a hell of a surprise on friday then.
Check, Point, Match -- Nathan/Savannah
Nathan:Â Beautiful you are a horrible, horrible tease making me wait after that.
Nathan:Â You have friends? Where have you been hiding them? :P
Savannah: You thought that was me teasing you? Oh that’s so sweet. :) You haven’t seen anything yet. Savannah: I’m telling Juan that you already forgot all about him. And I was rooting for you two.
Nathan:Â You think I forgot about Juan? I'll have to show you the pictures he sent me---he almost looks as good as you do in a skirt.
Nathan: If you tell him that I will spank you.
Check, Point, Match -- Nathan/Savannah
Nathan:Â Friday? that seems like a long time after thinking about those lips all day.
Nathan:Â Look I could use a drink, maybe I could come down to the rabbit hole and meet you for one?
Savannah: Well that’s when I’m free, so take it or leave it. ;) Savannah: I’m not going to be alone. I’m going to be with a couple friends, so I don’t think it’s a good idea.
Nathan:Â Beautiful you are a horrible, horrible tease making me wait after that.
Nathan:Â You have friends? Where have you been hiding them? :P
Check, Point, Match -- Nathan/Savannah
Savannah: Why don’t you just come over to my place. We can have pizza bites and cupcakes. Food of the gods. Savannah: Mmm I can’t cancel plans again. We’ll just meet up on Friday.
Nathan:Â Friday? that seems like a long time after thinking about those lips all day.
Nathan:Â Look I could use a drink, maybe I could come down to the rabbit hole and meet you for one?
So This Is A Date?... {Savannah & Nathan}
“Yes. You can be head chef and I’ll be your sous chef.” She explained with a happy little sigh, unable to leave his side as she glanced down at the ingredients. “Which makes you da boss… but just don’t get too power hungry, okay?” She added with the tip of her tongue sticking out playfully. She wasn’t sure what the butterflies were doing in her stomach, but with her face as neutral as she could manage, she found herself focusing on the dough before she felt a quick kiss pressed to her forehead.
“Do I have a rolling pin?” She mocked back, feeling suddenly overdressed in her bright heels. Kicking them off into the corner of the room, she felt vaguely domesticated as she padded around the kitchen barefoot with a smile on her face. Then pulling open a drawer, she grabbed the first of three rolling pins she could find, as she handed to him with a little wink. “Yes, chef.”
“Oh. Do you want an apron? I have one that isn’t quite as girly as last time.” She explained, tugging on a drawer to fish out an apron for her and him. The one she handed him was a dark blue with white pinstripes, while hers was a light green with flowers on the front pockets. She glanced up at him again, before glancing down at the ingredients to prep their pizza.
Nathan saw the apron she offered him and he gave her a grin remembering the pink frilly thing he wore before. "Are you sure blues my color?" he laughed taking it gratefully and slipping it on.
He started rolling the dough out before stretching it a bit more by hand, his less than expert solution was still working to make the basic circle of dough.  Savannah: Why would you want to do something like that? Savannah: They think you’re that desperate for friends? :P
Nathan:Â Because you deserve better than boys at that hole in the wall, I'm sure you'd like the bistro if you just gave it a chance.
Nathan: Oh they don't think I'm desperate...they know I am.
Nathan: Seriously though in an hour I think you should reconsider that rabbit hole plan.
Check, Point, Match -- Nathan/Savannah
Savannah: Than the location. The Rabbit Hole isn’t exactly a trendy spot. Savannah: I thought you should be paying attention in your big meeting. Savannah: What will they think if they knew they didn’t have your full attention?
Nathan: Let me take you out somewhere nice for once, it could be a fun change..
Nathan:Â Â I am paying attention but I drew up the report so I can phase in and out and still be two steps ahead than most of the board room...Still if they knew why I was ignoring them I think they would approve.

Nathan: Plans?—-anything interesting?
Savannah: Well if you call The Rabbit Hole interesting. I think the company will be more interesting.
Nathan:Â More interesting than what exactly?
Check, Point, Match -- Nathan/Savannah
Nathan: Well if that’s how we celebrate I’m going to make sure to really work hard
Nathan: speaking of hard—— my meeting should be over in an hour
Nathan: I might drop by the bakery after, come and claim your panties— make you earn them back with that red lip glossÂ
Savannah: Mmmm. Work hard. Play hard. Savannah: I guess for you, ya might have to work while hard. :P Savannah: Sorry fella, I won’t be here in an hour. Plans.

Nathan:Â Well barely time to spare, I still have to change ;)
Nathan:Â Stressful meeting, my father is out of town and this meeting could mean preventing some significant job cuts for the company.
Nathan: I’m sure it will go smoothly. Wish me luck just in case?
Savannah: See. Now you’ll just have to have spare pants at work. In case I come to visit.
Savannah: Good luck, Nate. But you don’t need luck. You’ve got this. You know you’ve got this. And after all is said and done we’re going to celebrate and I’m going to…
Savannah: put on some bright red lip gloss and crawl under that desk of yours.
Nathan:Â Well if that's how we celebrate I'm going to make sure to really work hard

So This Is A Date?... {Savannah & Nathan}
Nathan watched her bend over and didn’t hide the fact that his eyes were looking rather longingly at her while she did so. When she straightened up and came closer he sighed contently. “Well I brought booze and I figured we could fore-go the pizza bites for home made pizza….and we can figure out dessert after those have both run out.”
Feeling her pull away he moved one arm around her waist to stop her, reaching behind him for the flowers. “First we should put these in water, do you have a vase Savvy?” He let his arm release her, not wanting to keep her close if she felt the need to step back.Â
Turning to his bags and unloading the Wine and Limoncello and the ingredients for the pizza. “Are you a pepperoni or a mushroom girl?” he asked showing her the small selection he had brought. There was something so perfect and comfortable in this moment, the two of them alone in the loft….Claire running noisily in the background after her ball…on a real date. Still was this a real date? That much hadn’t been clarified in the texts but it felt like it had to be something more tangible than a hook up. Certainly you didn’t drink wine and cook with someone who was just a booty call…not in his world at least.Â
“You just want to get me liquored up so you can take advantage.” She teased, her nose pressed against his after they broke their little kiss.
“I… Well I don’t, but I have something that will work.” She explained offhand, revealing the fact that she wasn’t exactly a getting-flowers-from-boys kind of girl. If she was being completely honest it was the second time she had gotten flowers, though she wasn’t sure if the first one counted. The first time she had gotten flowers from a boy was when she was nearly seven and a boy and her had been playing house in the school grounds before he suddenly gave her a flower (which had in fact been a weed that looked like a flower to seven year olds).
Taking the flowers in her hands, she inhaled them softly, the sweet smell positively uplifting. “They’re absolutely gorgeous. Thank you.” She said honestly, leaning in for another tender kiss. Then grabbing an empty old fashioned flour container that was clearly marked as such, she ran it under the faucet. Then placing the ceramic container back onto her counter, she arranged the flowers just so. She could barely take her eyes off of them, until she was asked a question and whipped her head around to face him with a sheepish kind of grin.
“Both.” She said with a smile, glancing at the ingredients he had brought with him. Vaguely recalling the last time they had baked together, she wondered if it would end up a repeat of the last time with her covered in flour. But then she snuggled into his side, barely able to let go of him as she heard Claire rounding the corner into the living area as she ball skated around the ground. “I can be your assistant this time… what do you need me to do?”
Nathan watched her arranged the flowers and he was a little surprised at how she seemed to adore them. Surely she had enough experience with men that something as simple as flowers wouldn't really impress her. Still, he enjoyed how she looked at them, how she almost lovingly arranged them in the old flour pot.
"Beautiful flowers for a beautiful girl." he smiled gently as he felt the warmth that was Savannah curl up beside him. Hearing her ask to help he gave a small shrug. "You could put the toppings on, you seem to know how to make things look gourmet even if its something simple like pizza." letting her know that he was glad to have her help even if this was a sort of basic task.
"So does that make me the chef then?" he grinned as if threatening to try out his horrible Julia Child voice again on her.Â
Laying the dough out he kneaded it for a moment before spreading it with his hands and turning to kiss her forehead. "Oh, do you have a rolling pin?" assuming of course that she had to have one being a baker.
Nathan was contented with how homey this felt, almost nostalgic if he hadn't just met her. Looking almost serenely at his new found infatuation as he continued to stretch the dough out a bit clumsily on the counter. Looking away only after he realized he must have been staring, sighing slightly.Â
College Chef
It was the first thing he had learned to cook when he was out on his own in college. Soon Nathan and his fraternity brothers considered him a 'chef' with nothing more but packets or ramen noodles and easy mac to satiate their hunger. After months on living of the dried, salty pre-packaged noodles he began to loath everything about them. After two semesters of thriving off of these wretched noodles he decided to skip meals rather than struggle with the nausea that came with preparing them yet again.
As rich as he was in the outside world he was living a life of a normal, broke college boy partly to fit in....partly so he didn't blow through his inheritance on pizza for everyone in his dorm.Â
It was late one night and Nathan was drunk on beer and unnamed liquors that had been masked as jello shots as he stumbled into his dorm. Opening the refrigerator and being met with the blinding glare of white light, nothing inside of the cold box but more beer. Taking to the cabinets next he shook his head finding the plastic sealed nemesis that was Ramen noodles staring back at him. He had to eat something, had to absorb some of the liquor somehow before he collapsed into bed. Sighing as he reached for one of the lesser forms of Ramen a 'cup o'noodles' and added some water before popping it into the microwave. How he missed real food, he would have to go home this weekend in search of something substantial Taking out the faux chicken scented steaming cup of noodles and bringing it back to bed. He would down it and fall into a drunken sleep, counting down the days until real life started and he might enjoy steak once again.
