Hello, everyone. I didn’t want to make another post until I had better news and now I do. I finally made it to Florida! I made it out of the horrible environment I was in and I am now in a more stable place. I am waiting to hear back from jobs, I have food and a sane surrounding, all of which I can’t even begin to tell you how grateful I am for it. It’s time for my fresh start to really begin. Any close friend of mine, on this site or in real life, can vouch for what I am about to say.

I come from a rather abusive household, to the point where I’ve become terrified to ask for things– even from friends or family, because of how angry my step-father would become whenever I’d ask him to bring home food because the fridge was empty or some such thing. I have dealt with mental and emotional abuse, physical in the form of being starved. I’ve tried to leave before and I never could, mainly because I had no money and did not want to end up on the streets. Whenever I would try to get a job (which is almost impossible without a car), I would be questioned for it and asked why I needed one when he provided for the house… only he didn’t. I’d go days without eating, only having water and bread, sometimes crackers. Days without electricity or heat, because bills weren’t paid. I finally spoke to my grandparents that reside elsewhere– far from here, who have said I can stay with them. However, they do not have the funds to send for me, which is why I am posting this. I only need enough for a one-way ticket and luggage (I don’t have any suitcases and I know that if something weighs over fifty pounds you get charged for it), as well as some food since I know my grandparents are struggling too and I wouldn’t want them having to do more for me than they already are. I have a few job opportunities lined up out there, so if all goes well, I will be able to pay back everyone who donates to me. Currently, I have a cover story for going out there so it doesn’t seem suspicious– since my mother and I are afraid of my step-father learning the truth cause we’re both scared of what would happen. I know some people would ask why the police haven’t been called and such, but there is nothing that can be done, especially since his abuse has not been completely physical. With that being said, if anyone would like to know more about the entire situation, don’t hesitate to ask. I was scared to write too much (including where my family is), cause a part of me fears he’d find this, even though I logically know that isn’t possible (he’s not social medial/tumblr savvy). *edit: since summer is basically over, mom and I have decided we’re gonna tell my step-dad that I will be going out to visit my family for my birthday instead. I haven’t been able to sell much online, so I will be pawning everything off, that I can. Things just feel like they’re getting worse here, so I am really trying to push harder, to get out.
