[16.01.2022] watched the muppet christmas carol (1992). i loved the classic feel it had to it. the muppet gags were adorable. even cried once.

[15.01.2022] rewatched the justice league (2017). during the climax me and my family kept asking each other what was it that the villain was trying to do. movie is over and we still have no idea.

[09.01.2022] rewatched the game plan (2007). i cried three separate times while watching it but i was sick and sad and sentimental. best use of mr blue sky in any movie i've watched so far*

[02.01.2021] rewatched encanto (2021). after watching it 4 times i noticed a couple things that i wasn’t crazy about. i dont think it’s really explained why mirabel didn’t get a gift (it’s only vaguely touched upon and i wish they had gone more into detail since it’s such an important plot point in the movie). the animation feels a bit floaty too at times, like there’s not enough weight. i’ve noticed this trend in the latest disney movies (i think pixar doesn’t quite have this problem).

[01.01.22] rewatched shark take (2004). this movie really is dumb. i got some pretty bad news halfway through it and i've never felt more numb watching the second half of a movie i'm my life. it refused to end.

[01.01.2022] rewatched violet evergarden gaiden: eternity and the auto memories doll (2018). really like the first 20 minutes or so. loses me after that. i despise anime children. they could use the bloom effect a little less too.

[19.09.2021] watched the goonies (1985). it's not the best eighties kid squad in a small town coming-of-age movie i've watched but it's probably the best at portraying kids realistically. the banter is superb.

[17.09.2021] rewatched spiderman homecoming (2017). it's as enjoyable as something so bland has any right to be. best moment was hearing my mom gasp 'no es posible' at the vulture reveal

[15.09.2021] rewatched the book of life (2014). i never realized how much artistry and love was put into each and every frame of this.

story feels a bit rushed but it bothers me less each time I watch it.

[05.09.2021] rewatched ponyo (2008). really fascinated as to how ponyo’s parents even met or start dating. their relationship is one of the movie’s highlights for me.
