you know what we love about certain gas masks (specifically the Avon S10) for drone/gimp play?

It looks and feels just inhuman enough.

Like, look at this thing. The nose, the approximate appearance of a ‘mouth’ with the respirator. Those big, glassy lenses, through which you might catch a glimpse of something beneath. All of it absolutely screams “something which perhaps was once human, but is now distinctly inhuman” to us.

It’s structured in such a way that it sets off the brain’s built-in face-recognition, but it’s just a bit… off, slightly uncanny, almost a touch grotesque or even body horror-adjacent. There’s almost an implied transformation just in the look of it. It’s gloriously erotic.

Not to mention actually wearing one. The way a gas mask restricts your vision, makes you focus on your breathing — slow, even breaths — and how it warms up to your body heat over time, almost melding into your face and becoming a part of you and you of it… like, it’s a naturally hypnotic piece of kink gear. It also gets really hot and sweaty after a while if you’re into that (we are. hehe)
