For the young actors of the hit teen drama “Breakthrough”, staying on top was never a problem. The long-running series kept them relevant throughout their teen years. But now, after a few seasons of declining ratings, the show has been CANCELLED. Lucky for some, they left the show and went out into the big, bad world before everything they know had been ripped from under them. For others, the show is all they had. And for a few, this show was supposed to be their big break. Now, it’s leaving before they could even make their mark. Everyone – cast, crew, production team – has something riding on the tenth and final season of this series, and they’ve got plans to make it the best one yet. ★Sad News in Hollywood ★

Hey, all! I guess this has been a few weeks coming, but I tried really hard to keep this group up and it seems like the dash just isn’t the same anymore. This could be because a group like this requires so much upkeep, and such extensive backstory so that when people go inactive, it’s hard to stay invested in the ever-changing stories. And when new people aren’t joining, there’s just a lot of unfilled voids. So, while I applaud you guys for believing in this group, both Admin Erin and I are way too busy for the upkeep right now, and will have to close it. You can follow me at my rps blog, @mannysantcs (idk why it’s not linking but whatever) to keep up with any groups I may open in the future, or just to keep up with me! Cause I’d love to keep everyone who’s worked so hard to be active on this dash in my rp life. I loved every single story we created in our short time here, and a plot like this will forever hold a special place in my heart. Maybe I’ll try and reopen it again in the future. (This was the second time, maybe third time’s the charm!) But til then, I wish you all the best and I’m so sorry I couldn’t do more for this amazing group! You’re all stars, and I had so much fun with you. Take care!

Okay, so Breakthrough has been on set for the last two weeks shooting a super-drama-filled two-parter! Wonder what’s in store for our Orion Cove kids! Speaking of them, their actors seem to be having some drama of their own (as always)! Word around set is that there’s a pregnancy somewhere! Wonder who’s gonna be hiding a bump in the back-nine! My money’s on our DramaCon newlyweds, cough cough. I mean that is how you do it, right? Marriage, then a baby? Just not everyone does it within a week of each other, do they? In other news, our beloved Hannah Hightower seems up in arms about what’s happening with Hannah’s love life in this two-parter so you know it must be juicy! Other than that, not really much to report on, so see you next week!

★Plot Drop★

This week, everyone is called onset for the first readthrough of this week’s script! Why, you ask? For the next two weeks, the cast of Breakthrough will be filming Season 10, Episodes 8 and 9, a two-part epic that focuses around Orion Cove’s annual Beach Bash, a carnival on the pier, which past and current residents always turn up for. Not only will there be an A, B, and C plot, but various smaller D and E plots as well. Every season, this event is notorious for having some of the most dramatic relationship drama, so of course every character will be involved in some way or another! Happy shooting!

Whoa, hey! Long time no talk! Long story short, I suck! Really, moving and my job have taken a lot out of me in the last month, and the other group I admin had a very big event last week that I thought I’d be better at prioritizing with, but alas, here we are. I’m still here, though! And will continue to ad out this wonderful group this week. There’ll be no update tonight -- let’s just assume that everyone is called onset this week. And as for activity, I’ll be doing an activity check this Wednesday, so please post before then on each of your muses (if you have multiple) if you’d like to avoid the check, and let’s get some new starters in the tag, shall we? If you are facing technical/personal issues due to hurricanes or are otherwise without internet to be able to post, be sure to let me know before I do the check.

DramaCon was all we could have asked for and more! Gossip is still coming in from all sides, but a few things can be confirmed: 1) The biggest story? For sure the offscreen MARRIAGE between Breakthrough’s very own Oakley siblings! That’s right, folks, for some reason over the weekend, sources are reporting that Spencer Carr and Olive Paxton got hitched in Vegas, in what can only be described as a shotgun wedding! Can’t wait ti hear what came of that! 2) Everyone’s fave gross couple isn’t as happy as our incest buddies! Rian Silver and Bjorn de Vries seemed to have hit a rocky patch this weekend, for reasons unspecified, but we can all gather that there was tension from the way they seemed to be shading each other during one of the panels. Okay, well, after the long weekend, the cast is back on set! Wonder what’s in store for next week’s Breakthrough Beat! Check back next week and find out!

Alright, this is the week we’re all waiting for! While most people will be at home this weekend, barbecuing for Labor Day, only the most dedicated of soap opera fans will be hopping a car (or plane) to Las Vegas, Nevada for DramaCon! There we’ll find the cast and crew of Breakthrough, as well, taking pictures with fans, sitting for a panel, and so much more! Maybe this will bring us back from our on-set drama dry spell! All this cast needs is a little change of pace and scenery, amirite? Well our Breakthrough Beat is awfully short this week, but we’ll see you next weekend to cover all of what goes down at DramaCon!

PAUL, MALE. 18+ to play teen. PRINCIPAL. This YouTube Red comedy series is seeking an actor with comedic chops to portray PAUL, a senior in high school whose nudes get leaked to his entire school. But rather than shame him for it, his classmates are rather impressed by what they’ve seen.

Hey, guys! I can see that we’re all super busy and that’s totally okay! The dash is still moving, so that’s all I can really ask for. I (Kee) have been in the process of apartment hunting in these last few weeks, and am finally signing a lease for a place on Tuesday, which means the hunt is over! But also it means that this holiday weekend I’ll be moving, so I won’t be on as much as I’d like -- if at all, since we won’t have internet for a little while. But I’ll draft some event starters so I’m not entirely gone and hopefully won’t have to go on hiatus! If there’s anything we on the admin team can do to foster your creativity for your muses and improve activity, please let us know your ideas!
