in high school I had this friend who would always translate English songs to dutch (our native language). one day he started translating like a virgin by Madonna. It went well, besides a few minor mistakes until he got to the chorus. he thought that “virgin” translated to “vagina”. so what he sang was “like a vagina, touched for the very first time”. he sang that for three years straight, daily, before I finally told him what it actually was. he never forgave me.
