Why is American society genuinely so not kid friendly
I'm just exhausted and nobody warned me about this like literally nobody talks about how hard parenting literally is they just make it look easy and say "everyone does it you can do it too"
Everyone's mental and physical capacity is different and I thought mine would magically grow and I would "step up" to the plate after having kids but news flash that doesn't just magically happen in fact if anything I've probably regressed and become a worse person overall
There were those who told Imam Hussain to put down his weapons and to surrender.
But can one really do that when the peak of debauchery, the peak of vileness has been reached? Someone has to take a stand..
There was a difference between the time of Imam Hassan and a man like Muawiya, and there was a difference between the time of Imam Hussain and a man like Yazid.
Islam values human life. No doubt about that. Only when it's necessary for the betterment of society and for the betterment of the people does Islam allow for sacrifice of human life. For the greater good.
War is only allowed as an absolute last resort.
Think of all the oppression and suffering all of our Imams quietly beared. Imam Ali literally witnessed his beloved wife crushed behind a door from members of his own ummah.
Yet Imam Hussain and the battle of Karbala is perhaps the only example of a war that was waged deliberately by an Imam. What makes his example different? The man he was up against, and the precedent which was being set in society by having such a vile man be given any position of leadership!
So Imam Hussain died alongside 72 of the greatest men of that time. At even though, at the time, it felt like a huge loss. No doubt about it. 72 of the holiest living men. Each man was worth a 1000 regular men. To even lose one man of such a high spiritual stature is a travesty to society. Not to mention all the other pain and suffering that the women and children faced, and many of them also lost their lives. It was no small hardship they faced by facing war openly and stepping into battle so boldly.
But yet, even after all that severe level of suffering, it was a sacrifice that was worth it, because only because of that sacrifice do we practice this religion today and only because of that sacrifice do we have the faith which we hold so dearly...even though on a surface level, at the time, it seemed useless maybe. Because Yazid was still technically in power. But it was about taking a stand. It was about bringing awareness to the minds and hearts of people. Which they were 100% effective in..but the cost was their own blood and their own precious lives.
Because to stay quiet in the face of such an open and vile tyrant, who confronted Imam Hussain continuously asking for allegiance and who left no way out for the Imam, was not an option the Imam would entertain for even a moment. And one could argue our faith allows us to do whatever it takes to confront a tyrant of that nature.
For every year of my life since like 2019 January has consistently been the worst month of every year idk why.....o I will get through it but I should have been more prepared I should have seen the pattern
Late stage capitalism is crazy. We are watching everything burn up right in front of our eyes.

Sitting here crying, can't believe the month of Ramadan is here. How fleeting is time, how quickly it goes by. And we waste so much of it...

I miss the times I could sleep in until 10am, even 12pm sometimes. Now the latest I've ever "slept in" is 8:45am...
History has always been the same. It's so predictable. The oppressors are the ones who are cowards, who attack behind backs. Think about imam Ali who was fatally struck in sujud, quite literally in the most vulnerable position possible, unable to defend himself- that's when cowards choose to strike! Because of their cowardice, they can't face their opponent face to face
The axis of resistance could choose to kill Netanyahu or any other warmongerer quite easily, but they would never do it that way. The same way our imams were never the ones to directly attack or confront any of the caliphs of their times, despite how much oppression and bloodshed they were conflicting. That is the difference between us and them.
