And life moves, it's been a couple years since my last con. It was a bit overwhelming how much has changed, but it was fun with my friends!

I told myself to not worry so much about perfection but to just have fun when making this. I had been sick for several weeks prior to this con so I had less time but it worked out.

I know the necklace is probably supposed to be bone-like but I went with Abalone and Mother of Pearl. Same with the earrings.

On a side note, I've been a bit busy with my last semester of undergrad and I just got accepted to my master's program, so I've been making less but it's always fun to get into costume to hangout with friends!

Korra means a lot to me, I know a lot of people who don't like her but I found her relatable in times of turmoil as a teenage.

I saw a reflection of me and that I was capable of change, and the idea or labels people have put onto me do not define me...rather my perception of myself does.

Anyways cheers-after years of sitting on it, I finally cosplayed Korra lol second photo is totally not looking at Asami (I was looking at Asami)

I had considered covering up my wave tattoo for this costume but its such a big part of me, it would've been weird for the sake of cosplaying. My tattoo's true meaning remain close to my heart but the general means to 'be like water' to move with the change, that as tumultuous time occurs-to not fear it.

Anyways this costume literally has thermals and I was cold lol and I was so excited to see areas that still had direct sunlight so I could sit in it 😂

Yesterday, I finally got my first hair cut in 3 years lol. It's kind of wild that I cut 6 inches off and this the end result..it's a lot closer to Omera's hair 💃🏻 so I decided to have some fun.

Hair: I actually have a hair braid I made that I pin to the back of my head, I cover the ends with my bangs to make it more seamless and natural. That piece is braided with yarn that I used for the apron.

I believe you're referring to my post about people mentioning colours and what I should/shouldn't wear. That's less with Breha, more with colourism I've dealt with since I was a child but I'm finally breaking out of that by challenging myself to wear white or colours they told me not to :') and I'm really lovin' it
