Brayson knew how tough these chemo treatments were on Finn, and it took everything in him not to just stop it all together. Today was the day to see if the chemo had been helping, and if it hadnât, there wouldnât be anymore options at that point. It just wouldnât be worth doing anymore, which would mean that Finn would get worse and potentially leave Bray. That was what he feared most, as selfish as that wasâ he didnât want Finn to leave him. âGood, I like distracting you.â Brayson understood what Finn wanted to do, but knew that they were just words know. He knew that the boy wasnât able to fully understand that there were some things he couldnât do, but it was denial at that point. âIâm there for you when you canât be there for me. Itâs a trade-off. You make me happy, and I help you.â He smiled, it was subtle, but it was there. The next few days would be awful because of the chemo, but after the second day, Finn would most likely be back to normalâ a little tired of course, but nothing too bad. Brayson would try his best to get the boy in that position, because it had been a while since they even touched each other in any kind of intimate way. âPlease help me out, Iâm thirsty.â A laugh muttered through his lips as he kissed the boy back and held onto the back of his neck, which was soft and a few patches of the wigs hair were in his fingers. It felt just like Finnâs hair though, and thatâs what he loved most about it. âOnly about thirty more minutes, baby.â He caressed his check, biting his lip and smiling at him before he moved the pieces of hair from the boys eyes and noticed how bruised the boys arm was from the IV already. It made him sad to look at that and see that his boyfriend was in pain, but it was everything he could take to just smile and put on happiness for him anyways.
The only thing that Finn wanted to do at the moment was be there for his boyfriend. He knew just how much Bray put up with just by having to come with him to all of his appointments and dealing with the fact that Finn's cancer just wouldn't go away, and the fact that Finn wasn't able to give back the way that he wanted to was miserable. All the boy wanted to do was to be able to be with his boyfriend the way that they both wanted instead of being sick and tired all the time. "You're the worst with distractions," he mumbled against Bray's lips before he shifted to lightly kiss the boy's cheek. If Finn were to actually think about how he was currently feeling, the boy would never want to even consider doing anything again let alone kissing Brayson. He pushed the thoughts aside, shifting slightly so that he could look at his boyfriend before he leaned in and kissed him again, reaching the hand that wasn't attached to the IV out to rest on Brayson's knee. "I could," he mumbled when he pulled back. "But I don't think you want to get off here of all places." A weak chuckle escaped Finn's lips before he pulled back enough to be able to look at Brayson. "I love you so much," he told him softly, eyes closing at the feeling of Bray fixing the hair of his wig. When Finn opened his eyes again, he let out a small sigh. "Thirty more minutes and then we can go home, right? I just want to spend the rest of the day in bed with you." As much as Finn wanted that, he knew that the rest of the night would end in him shaking and vomiting, possibly dealing with brief fevers, but he could pretend for right now that when they got out of the hospital, things would go back to being normal and he could just love his boyfriend for the rest of the day.
