I had a dream last night about Feliciano.
Oh boy, I miss the Feliās I used to love with my Feli.
@xgoodkingwenceslasx wandered close to the shore
He had never seen such a state of decay in his life. Humans were shambling around with half of their bodies missing, and while he was trying his damnedest to say quiet around them it was proving rather difficult. Having a fin and being around creatures which begged your silence was not an easy task, especially when he is confined to the water like this.
The last time he had splashed in the water he had drawn the attention of a couple of them to the beach- thankfully it was only a couple of them, heavenās knows the if any more had wandered into his waters he would have a hard time dealing with them⦠one of them was capable of floating, and he had managed to crack its skull in against a rock, the surface of said rock had been reddened with the blood of his aggression.
Finn is quietly hoping that a sign of genuine life would make itself known- maybe any survivors would want to catch some fish⦠or find a boat? Anything.
The weather was becoming quite hotter, an obvious sign it had to be summer time again. Sarita didnāt mind it though, she would take the heat over the cold and snow any day. With it being that warm out she had removed her turquoise jacket and tied it around her waist. She did have to find some more water soon, the last thing she needed was to be dehydrated.Ā
As she wondered through the city area, the Indian woman had some mighty good luck as she spotted not just some water but the ocean. Despite most of the world looking like a disaster now, the huge body of water still looked amazing. Not wasting any time Sarita ran down the deck area that lead to the beach. She was sure glad she was wearing sneakers, the sand would probably burn at your feet.Ā
Once she made it to the shore line, she removed her shoes and socks not wanting them to get wet and left them int the drier sand. Sarita only walked a few feet into the water, wanting to keep it safe in case any of those things were around.Ā
āThis looks so nice, itās too bad my family isnāt here to see this too.āĀ
The merman spots the lady by the shore and with a soft movement in the water he perks up into view and offers a small wave- she seems sentient enough, willing to take off her shoes and step into the rippling ocean. A brave move- though most may have called it stupid given the humans circumstances.
āCiao?ā He calls softly as he approaches, hoping to Poseidon that his eyesight hadnāt failed him miserably and that he had honestly seen a human, and not a corpse of some vague description. Her voice rings out, and his fins raise and flap softly in excitement- yes!
Sheās a human! Thank the seas. He approaches a little more eagerly.Ā āHello there~ā He chirps happily, allowing himself to peek out of the water a little more to show he wasnāt one of those shambling... things on the cement.

Finn had never seen a place quite like it, the lake could be considered hugeĀ by any body of waters standards- aside from the Ocean itself. He would always preferĀ the ocean, but seeing as how he was somewhat trapped in this lake suddenly, he supposes he doesnāt mind as much as he should do.
There were fish in here, a waterfall (and admittedly, the water than ran down it was warm enough to soak in, he had almost fallen asleep in it prior as he explored), and two small buildings. The water here was evenly temperatured- a little on the chilly side but nothing a couple of laps of swimming and a couple of fish wouldnāt solve.Ā
He jumps out of the water with new-found excitement, attempting to get a better look at the world around him before peeking his eyes out of the water and looking around, grinning.
Ā Ā Ā It wasnāt a common occurrence for the hero to fall asleep in the midst of fishing, but low and behold, there the blond was, dozed off against the large tree that overlooked Lake Hylia and the dormant temple residing beneath it. The bait had been long eaten, the fish which inhabited the waters having made off like thieves whilst he slept. Despite the small bit of hunger that had driven him to fishing out a meal, he was far more exhausted, it had seemed, and it had taken little time for Link to be taken away towards the realm of dreams.
Ā Ā Ā But the excited commotion nearby was enough to jostle him back to waking, lashes fluttering rapidly, bringing sapphires back into focus before his attention shifted to that of his fishing rodā Bait? Gone. Fish? Fed. Him? Still hungry.
Ā Ā Ā Fingers tangle within honeyed locks, ruffling his hair lightly as lips quirk into a small frown. At least the Zora had awoken him with their swimming around, he figured, attention briefly shifting to the side to spot the aquatic race⦠Except that wasnāt a Zora. No, it appeared to be⦠more like a Hylianā but no, they had a fishās tail! How curious!
Ā Ā Ā Quietly did he crawl closer to the edge of the land, laying flat on his stomach whilst he observed the stranger with great interest, eyes large and nearly unblinking as they gazed on in awe. With a lick of his lips, itās with a soft voice that he calls out to the other, doing his best to keep his voice light and friendly.
Ā Ā Ā āHello!⦠Um⦠Good afternoon!ā¦?ā Oh, he didnāt know how to approach the strange creature!
A voiceĀ rings out distinctly amongst the clear air of the lake, and it pivots his head towards that direction, his fin flicking up the water as he swims over to greet the strange person- he figures whatever tongue the other was native to is what he had been greeted with. Thankfully Finn was a rather fast learner for a fish- er, merman.Ā
āCiao~!ā He greets in response, leaning his arms against the shore and grinning widely at the long-eared person. The fishing rod stood next to him clued him in that the other was possibly after the delicious fish hidden in the lake as well. He pushes himself out of the water a little, briefly switching to his lungs so that he may sit on the bank next to the equally strange creature.
āAre you hungry, sir?ā He says to him, inclining his head and pointing towards the direction of a small school of fish, partially obscured by the softly rippling waves. The water here is so fresh and Finn honestly canāt wait to get back into the water and glide through the crystal-clear substance.

What is that strange person on the shore and what are they wearing? He had learned in the past that judging peopleās style of clothing while he, himself, wore none. That didnāt mean he couldnāt do it, but more he shouldnāt do it given he couldnāt have the knowledge of what looked good if he couldnāt dress himself or other people up.Ā
Either way, the strange figure had piqued the mermanās interest, and while trying to stay as hidden as possible- which is difficult in water with a green shimmering fin- decides to observe the fellow on the beach⦠why were they here, he wonders.
Ā Ā Ā Ā There was that feeling again. Eyes on him. He was fairly used to it by Ā Ā Ā Ā now, he stuck out in this time very easily and his usual source of Ā Ā Ā Ā cloaking magic was out of his reach at the moment. Still, he was in Ā Ā Ā Ā somewhat high spirits. It was rare he got close to oceans or water these Ā Ā Ā Ā days, keeping mostly to the cities and outback towns, but he enjoyed it Ā Ā Ā Ā nonetheless. This place seemed to be empty, but there was that feeling. Ā Ā Ā Ā Slowly, his gaze moved towards the edge of the shore, his gaze catching Ā Ā Ā Ā something shiny, slimy. A fish? Maybe.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Wouldnāt be the first time someone saw something mysterious in a body of Ā Ā Ā Ā water before, though.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Still, he found himself tilting his head curiously. His leather gloves creaked as Ā Ā Ā Ā he held onto his cane a little tighter, not calling out or drawing much attention Ā Ā Ā Ā to himself. What was that?
The silence is deafening him. People usually came to the shore to speak to the Ocean, to pace and complain with the belief that something must be listening. It made them feel oddly better and Finn had heard his fair share of stories. His head peeks out of the water to gain a better look at the stranger, noting with faint interest that they were robed completely in black, as though mirroring the depths of the ocean itself.
He couldnāt help but feel drawn to the person, and steadily begins to make his way over, fully ready to turn tail and dip back into the water should the other pose a threat.Ā
His only hope is that the figure doesnāt refer to him as a murderer for crimes his ancestors before him had committed.

This was not a for-eating fish. Nightlight, sticking his head in the water from the dock, nearly nudges his nose against the merperson's and burbles his quiet disappointment.
No, he was not an edible fish- he was hardly fish at all. Gills and lungs? What fish had gills andĀ lungs- well, aside from a lungfish but he could hardlyĀ class those as lungs. Regardless, he bubbles back at the person as a form ofĀ āexcuse youā at the disappointed creature. He supposes if the other was hungry he could catch him an actual for-eating fish...Ā
He waves. Hello strange person who nearly nudged their nose upon mine, what is it that you wish?

Finally... a shore! A harbour! A resting spot! And how glad was he to see one. He had been swimming for a while now, and sure he could just stop using his badly trained lungs and actually use his gills but what fun would that be? Then heād stop being able to see the world of humans- or rather, what was left of them.
From here he can rather clearly see the broken down dwelling that presumably used to thrive off of here, many broken down boats littered the area- there was the occasional bodyĀ floating, but after many hours of swimming there were plenty of those floating around. Still... itās peaceful here... and it had probably had nothing to do with the fact he was scared of going towards the sand at the sea floor in case one of the shambling things fell into the water, right? right. Glad we could agree on that.Ā
@dcadcassette wandered close to the water
It was never good to drift this close to the banks of a river, but Finn wants to be absolutely positive that the quick spurt of colour was actually a living being and not a figment of his crazy imagination. He had forgotten what companionship had felt like. The oceans were empty of his kin aside from fish, the beaches were barren and he could only imaging the state of the inland if he were capable of exploring.
There were hundreds of the shambling ones, loitering around the paths, and thankfully whoever he had spotted was being rather quiet about their movements as to not disturb them. He does his best to hide his fin in the waters of the wide river, but heās aware that even a small splash may send the decaying creatures after him.
He really doesnāt want to call out... not yet.
@lethargic-hunter stumbled to the waterfront
The water here felt murkier than usual, as though it was made more of slimeĀ than any actual liquid. Normally such a thing wouldnāt bother the fish, but the fact that he had spotted a bodyĀ while swimming into the bay had turned his stomach as he hunted for his dinner.Ā
He had promptly stopped hunting at that point to allow his head to break the surface and spy upon the desolate landscape he had swam intoā he had never seen such a broken human dwelling in all of his life⦠what had happened here?
Rare was it for Aiden to approach any large body of water of his own free will, but he was met with little choice. The splotch on his hoodie would likely stain long before he could get it home in time to scrub it outāand being the clean freak that he was, and by his love for his oversized red hoodie, he simply couldnāt let that happen.
So, without wanting to get his pants wet, he set them aside and stepped into the water with only a t-shirt, and his boxers.
With shaky claws he struggled to scrub the spot clean, cautious not to step too far off shore, although his legs were trembling in absolute terror. Even standing in the shallows up to just past his knees, the water was still too deep.
He hears a disturbance along the shore and deems it as a splash, which naturally could only mean life-- or alternatively, some poor small creature had managed to find its way to the ocean only to get swept up by the waves. Finn is rather fast along the current to get towards the source of the noise.
Immediately the taste of disease hits his mouth and even as he breaches the surface to look at the person scrubbing furiously at an item of clothing (how silly, he thinks, this oceanās water feels about as clean as the humans dwellings). He supposes his next action wouldnāt really be the best of actions, but he had to find out where he was, somehow...
āAh, hello?ā he calls out, careful to hide any sign of his more fish-like traits
@speakiingrussian wandered close to the shore
Where oh where in Posideonās grand Oceans had he been drifted away to now? The smell of the air tasted as thick as the waters surrounding him, faint dribbles of blood being caught on his taste buds and heās fairly certain he had seen the land creatures walking just fine. Nothing seemed to pay too much attention to him, he was quiet as he dipped into the waters of the river.
He had travelled in land before, and would stop should the water get too shallow to move, this area was cold... he wasnāt used to such frigid temperatures. He would have to keep moving, and with any luck a sentient being would spy his glimmering green tail and tell him where he had the misfortune of ending up.
