Inspired by Cedric's British accent, I dressed him in a sharp black tailcoat. He has that classic, nihilistic villainous smirk.

Anyway, I can see Devin accusing Cedric of favoring Sofia if she got higher praise or higher grades on something from him (not to Cedric's face tho, ofc). Even though Cedric clearly doesn't give her special treatment, which is one of the things I love about him as a teacher (he returned her fond greeting during their first sorcery class, but that doesn't count).

Devin: *to Sofia* Of course Mr. Cedric likes your spell better, even though I'm the best at magic! He's your kingdom's Royal Sorcerer!

Sofia: That's not true, Devin. Mr. Cedric and I are good friends, but he treats us all equally.

The other kids: *agreeing with Sofia*

I can so see this being an episode. Devin's words plant a seed of doubt in Sofia, and she starts second guessing all her interactions with Cedric in the classroom, turning any small act into blatant favoritism in her mind. So she starts holding herself back in class, but of course Cedric can tell, but his attempts to help her are just more "proof." Eventually everything comes to light, and the lesson is about going to the source (in this case, asking Cedric) and not just believing rumors.

Also there's a tiny sideplot with one of the other characters actually tallying up how Cedric acts towards all the students.
