“But you’re smiling, so you don’t fully loathe me,” Caroline pointed out, raising her eyebrows at him. When he poured her the shot, Carol took it like a champ, barely flinching–she loved tequila. “What other things?” she asked, genuine confusion on her face as she furrowed her eyebrows at him.

“ground rules.” ander said after they’d both started getting dressed again. “if this were to happen again, we need to set some ground rules.” he simply said. this was something that people really shouldn’t be finding out about.

“Oh yeah, that was me,” Caroline chuckled, shaking her head as she brushed some hair out of her face. “Hey–you never know,” she teased.

Aurora put on the man’s helmet, strapping it tight to her head as she took a seat behind him. This wouldn’t be her first time she taken a ride on a motorcycle and had food sitting in her lap. She could only pray that nothing spilled. “Well well, aren’t you just the best boss ever. I’m sure Dallon must write you letters of appreciation all the time, huh?”

“he’s been slightly more of a pain in my ass recently than normal so lets just say this is his punishment.” ander said to the woman before starting up his bike. thankfully he knew that aurora’s place wasn’t all that far from where her tyre had popped, a quick drive but too far to walk at night.

It was rare for Maggie to get a date. Most people her age were put off to the fact she was a mom to a nine year old. None the less she scored a date with someone who seemed to have promise. She met the guy at Bluejay’s for dinner before moving to the Aivary where they had a few drinks. The night seemed to be going good but like a switch the man flipped from tipsy to sloppy drunk. Not wanting to ditch the man she asked where she could drop him off, the only thing she could make out of his slurred speech was ‘Iron Kings’ so to the club house is where the headed. Getting the man there was no easy task but she finally made it, dropping him at the front door. Hearing the voice shoot in her direction she looked up, shaking her blonde curls from her face “ I’ve come to return stumbles the clown here. Does he belong to you?”

ander looked from the blonde woman to the man that was now on the floor in front of him, sighing when he recognised him. “sadly yes that one does belong to me.” he simply stated, kris could never handle his alochol, he’s only wished that he had the chance to warn the girl beforehand. “let me get him inside and then i’ll drop you off at home –– its late and i don’t need to wake up to the news saying a girl is missing or dead.”

ander wasn’t one to discriminate against anyone but there was a war going on and basically everyone had a side, ander had to stick by his. “what went through your head when you made the decision to come here today?” the man stated as he looked at the police officer in front of him. “you turn around and leave now and no one has to know how stupid you are.”

carter had the day off, it was rare considering it was the middle of the week but apparently there was some kind of excursion and most of the kids were out for the day, hey he wasn’t complaining. the man had decided to go for a run, only stopping when his phone rang, an international number. after about five minutes of a heated conversation carter finally rolled his eyes. “я сказал тебе никогда больше не звонить мне.” he spat into the phone before hanging up, lifting his gaze to see the man standing in front of him staring at him. “you got something to say to me officer?”

“Alright,” Aurora replied with a chuckle. She walked over to the passenger site of the truck, grabbing the food that she had ordered just a few minutes prior. “Do you think this will make it home safely?” The blonde asked. Serenity might actually try legitimate tears if she didn’t get her precious milkshake and fries. “Let me know how much it’ll cost for a new tire and I’ll give you the cash tomorrow, okay?”

ander looked between his bike and the milkshake and fries that the woman was now holding before nodding slowly. “i’m sure that we can make it work.” he said to her as he moved to straddle his motorcycle. “don’t worry about the money for now, sometimes i just like making dallon work.”

There was a worry that swelled inside of his belly. Fuck, Dallon thought. I musta really pissed him off now. But like the obedient member that he was, the younger man gave him a quick nod. “You got it boss. Uh, can I ask though. Where we headed?”

“where we’re going doesn’t matter –– its the drive that clears your head.” ander stated as he walked towards where his bike was always kept, along with his leather jacket and helmet.

She whipped around, her blonde hair swinging around her shoulders violently. The man wasn’t particularly familiar, a face she’d seen in passing around Abernathy but one she wouldn’t be able to pick out of a line up. With a look of terror on her face Elise took a step closer to the man, something a bit out of the ordinary for her. “I can’t get in”, she began, her words quick and close together. “My Nana isn’t answering and I can’t open the door. It’s locked or something.”

ander looked between the clearly scared girl and the door that was stopping her from entering the apartment. “it’s alright, i’m sure she’s okay.” the man reassured her. there was something familiar about the girl, everything about her, from the way she looked to the way she acted, she reminded him of someone he used to know. “i’m going to kick the door down, then i’ll be here tomorrow to fix it okay?”

“I bet she’s a gem,” Caroline smirked. Sure, being a teacher’s pet wasn’t the best reputation to have, but Carol didn’t mind. She liked adults more than kids at the time anyway. “That’s what I do–I come in and save the day and make everyone love me. It’s a gift.”

“she does actually help out a lot –– and she brings me cookies like once a week.” well now he couldn’t tell if she just wanted good grades or had a little school girl crush on him. “a gift? you’re not an x-men sweet heart.”

“I guess,” Louisa shrugged. The brunette had always wanted kids, but her siblings were like her kids now, and they were her top priority. Once everything was straightened out, she’d get her degree and move somewhere far away, where they could have a new life. Checking her watch, Louisa shook her head. “He’s probably asleep already,” she looked at him, smiling softly. “But thank you.”

it was hard, being in this life but it certainly did have its perks. whether they were biological or not, ander had a family now, one that was much better than the real one he had. “i’d hate to see how grumpy he gets after being woken up in the middle of the night.”

“He greatly appreciates your approval,” Louisa chuckled, licking her lips. After a second, she leaned forward and pressed another kiss to Carter’s lips, pulling back after a short while and taking a step back. “See you later?” she said, grabbing her bag from the floor.

“oh we are going to have the best time together when he actually gets to high school.” carter said jokingly as he gently kissed the woman back. the man generally avoided any of the cute shit but it came so easily with louisa. he pouted once more once she pulled away before he nodded. “tonight.”

“I’ll have you know I am a great person,” Caroline defended herself. “I’m kind, and thoughtful, and I’m one of the few ER nurses willing to patch up you and your little friends no questions asked.” She raised her eyebrows at his question, nodding. “Tequila–please,” she smiled sweetly, leaning on the bar. “Are you trying to proposition me?”

“ahh see, theres that self centred part.” he said with a light smile before nodding slightly as he grabbed another glass and the bottle of tequila. “be careful with what you say, or you’ll be here patching everyone up every night.” the man stated, sliding the glass over to her after pouring it. “i’m saying that i don’t want anyone knowing you’re here and i doubt you do either, so whatever happens isn’t spoken about outside of these doors –– whether its talking, fighting, planning or other things.”

The blonde shifted her weight from one foot to the other. Unlike many of the girls in her class, the man had never been her favorite teacher. Though he was handsome Elise never found herself fawning over him. Could this be why he’d met her with such harshness? “Well”, she said softly. “Do you know if she will be in tomorrow? I’ve got something for her.” Gently, Elise raised the paper plate wrapped in saranwrap that held several baked goods.

“she probably will be, i can put those in the teachers lounge if you’d like?” carter said as his eyes moved from hers down to the plate and then back up again. it was always strange when he saw his past students walk back into the school, he thought that most would have avoided it.

Caroline leaned against the bar, pressing her lips together as she listened to his words. “I’ll give you privileged and entitled,” she took a sip of the water, letting out a soft breath at the refreshing feeling. “But the rest is just simply not true,” she looked at him with soft blue eyes. “But I guess you will never find out, huh?” she shot his words back at him, taking another sip.

“well –– at least you can admit that, i guess you aren’t completely horrible.” he said to the woman before looking at her glass of water. “would you like something a little stronger than that?” the president asked as he gestured to the alcohol on the shelves behind the bar. “i don’t know –– i mean what happens in the clubhouse, stays in the clubhouse.”

Louisa smirked at him, shaking her head as her arms moved to wrap around his neck. “I have to pick my brother up from school in 10 minutes,” she reminded Carter, tilting her head as she licked her lips. “But tonight, I promise. I’m all yours.”

carter rolled his head back before looking at her once more. “gabe is lucky that i like him, he’s the only reason i’m letting you go.” the history teacher stated but not yet moving his hands away from her waist.

“I bet kids of your own would be easier,” Louisa teased, shaking her head as she reached for a glass and poured herself some water, taking a long sip. “I’m on until 1, but I’ll probably get out pf here around 2.” She hated nights like this, when she had to leave Gabe with her neighbor.

“pretty sure i’m too old to be having any kids of my own ––– plus this isn’t exactly a great lifestyle that i lead.” he said simply. he’d always wanted kids when he was younger but the further into the bike scene he got the more he realised it wasn’t possible. “do you want me to go get gabe? he can stay with me at the house until you finish –– he does love looking at all the bikes.”
