i know people say it as a joke but i really hate when people conflate hair length with gender. people on here will straight up say a gender conforming guy w long hair looks like a trans woman. i thought we hated gender stereotypes.

#i’d give it a pass if it was a genuinely good bit but the worst part is that it isn’t even a good bit #people went straight from genitals = gender to hair length = gender #and it always irked me it’s part of why i felt the need to grow out my hair

my dad was so easy to convince of john lennon’s bisexuality though. like i worried it would be hard bc my dad really idolizes lennon and even tho he is not remotely homophobic it’s always weird to have your impression of your hero shifted like that. but i just mentioned spain and a couple of anecdotes about john’s obsession over paul as a lead in and my dad was like yeah i can see that. john always seemed a bit gay. and then when we were looking for get back on disney+ the anthology showed up and my dad pointed to the cover image [the pic from the mad day out where john is leaning on paul’s chest] and was like “you were definitely onto something about john”

#it was the least surprising beatles thing i told him #most surprising to him was that linda was jewish. he was shocked (in a good way)

was talking to a beatles fan guy in my noble quest of convincing dudes that john lennon was bisexual and i said “you know john was actually considering working with paul during the lost weekend” and he just went “what’s the lost weekend” and i was hit with the strongest xkcd 2501 moment i’ve ever had bc this guy IS into beatles lore! how did my like 3 months of fujoing out make me know more than this guy who has been a fan for years?
