Tucked away in a rather slim but wide box in Sal's cubicle, is a three piece outfit. Tailored pants with a loose fit around the hips and flared at the bottom, a plain shirt with a smooth texture to it(possibly a silk and cotton mix)and a jacket with a hood. A nice balance appealing to Sal's casual style, but with a little subtle flair from just one specific person. <3 The card has a ridiculous amount of x's and o's with 圣诞快乐 in the corner. - xiaolinwind

It wouldn’t take a genius to figure out who left him a gift like this- clothing that he could wear and be comfortable but still didn’t look as ‘horrible’ as his usual wear. He offers a slight hum to the air and wonders why he didn’t just give him the gift in person. Oh well, he’d just leave his friends gift outside his ‘door’ as well, he supposed. He reminded himself to offer Dashi a ‘thank you’ later as well.

“You probably should learn to do something more intimidating if ya want us to be scared of you though.” Sal hummed, offering a grin despite everything, hands in his pockets casually.

“Not scary!? Well, ya douchenugget, I’ll have you know that I have prepared a new set of robots that will definitely have you pissing your pants in fear!” 

With the press of a button, numerous robotic jungle cats suddenly made the scene. 

“My new catbots ought to teach you a thing or two! Impeccable speed, sharp reflexes, and teeth and claws so sharp you’ll cut yourself just by looking at them. Yeah dude, you’re totally dead meat. Any last words before I have them rip you to pieces?”

“Ya know, sometimes its almost cute how much you try, Young, but ya still aren’t up to par.”

He watches the appearance of the new robots with an unimpressed smirk and a mocking yawn, his hands still not leaving his pockets. He seems pretty assured of himself.

“Last words? Yeah, can we hurry this up and skip all the boring gloating? After we get this Wu me n’Dashi are supposed to go out, and I really don’t wanna miss that because you made some new toys.”

         “Though defeating Chase Young aint’ exactly something I would brag about, not even bein’ a Wudai warrior.”

“We are, of course lazy people like you wouldn’t see that though, right?” he hummed sarcastically, grumbling at the hand on his head, lets not old man.

“Well I guess it’s good I wasn’t talking about pretty boy, right? Everyone knows he’s just the Heylin’s joke.”

Of course he goes right back to the small talk. Sal sighs and shrugs. “It’s good…? We’re winning more than usual.” which was weird really, why were they suddenly so successful?

        “The boss has been slacking off, uh? God damn it.” That only meant one thing, he was probably scheming one BIG THING he’ll put on the Xiaolin dragons later, and he would most likely need his help. And here I was enjoying my vacations…

Which was ironic, considering he had packed up and came to the Temple in the first place. Though, maybe Sal was over-exaggerating the child’s bad qualities, he wasn’t quite sure. He and Roy were about as far as they could be from each other, yet somehow were still friends. He considered all the other monks friends anyways, recently he wasn’t sure if they felt the same.

“I, um, s’a long story but I broke the trust between us. I’m trying to fix it but he… holds quite a grudge.”

“So he’s old fashioned?”

Omi’d been a little like that when she’d first met him-concerned with doing things the traditional way. He had old fashioned views when he met her too, certainly. The other Xiaolin monks, especially the older ones, still were uptight and traditional, which wasn’t exactly their fault… Given they lived in the middle of practically no where. That didn’t make it okay for Kimiko, though, and sometimes her patience was tested to extremes with their shenanigans and all she had to deal with when it came to them.

“You probably don’t want to get into that story, I’m assuming? I guess the only thing that’ll heal that is time.”

Honestly, old-fashion was not the best way to describe Roy, but it worked. He really wished the kid was easier to think about, but eh, you couldn’t win them all. He stopped and chuckled nervously at the concept of time healing the issues between him and his friends. He severely doubted that actually, but he wouldn’t spill his guts to his closest friends, so it wasn’t like he was suddenly obligated to tell someone else.

“Yeah, I’m not very comfortable with that, linda, but I guess time’s what it needs.”

        “So, how’s Xiaolin wu hunting going? I feel is been ages since the last time I went on a showdown.” He is making small talk? Actually, better than stay in silent, he is also laying lazily in the floor now, making of it a comfortable place to rest.

He shook his issues off with a scowl, huffing. “I hurt the person I care about the most, I didn’t expect them to save me, or to even wanna help me. Why don’t ya stop acting like ya know everything for once?” that was a terrible comeback and he knows it, but he’s pretty sure he’s about two seconds from literally steaming.

        That’s right kid, anyone is more important than you, you are disposable for the Xiaolin, get the hint. He shrugged at his words, giving it in for now, he didn’t disagree there, he too thought he wasn’t worth being saved… IF he was going to remain XIAOLIN, but that was up to debate, as for now he’d let the other rest with his unresolved issues.

       “Kay, ya win. The whole world is more important than one person (you), let’s drop it.”

At least I’m better than that.” sure he was quite the compulsive liar, but at least he wasn’t some kinda criminal.

“Ey, thanks for the useless offer, since they won’t be leaving me behind.”

        “Riiight, your friends did that, aint they? Oh wait! They didn’t! They were too focused in saving the world and defeating Kimi at the time.” He gives him an over exaggerated look of pity, seriously he doesn’t have a filter and his sarcasm is more hurtful than amusing… well for others, he did found it funny. The comment of prison releases a ‘tsk’ for him, before he shrugs.

        “Ya win some, ya loose some. Aint as bad as other people has it, sides~ they do some rocking tattoos in prison. And I’ll take that as: I’LL THINK ABOUT IT, since you thanked me after all.”

“The only thing I’m reflecting on is why I bother trying to talk to you or help you at all, Pedrosa.”

        “I dunno, you brought her in to our conversation~ As for the other part, it’s probably out of desperation; you try to help me or ‘save’ me to show you could save yourself if you try, aint gonna work buddy, I’m rotten to the core and thoughtfully enjoying la vida loca.” He shrugged and rested against the wall, eyeing the kid down, oh don’t misunderstand him, he liked him, it was like seeing himself in that phase of life where you are stupid and full of hope, hearts and rainbows.

      “But likey~ if you are ever left behind by them, ya know there’s someone willing to take you in.”

        “Ah, careful with that language, Kimi might get offended.” He chuckled in a good naturedly manner. Did he mind being called a slut? Hardly. He’d been called worse and his habit of sleep with people didn’t help his case, he didn’t care. It was a free universe and he liked to have fun, what was wrong with that? This only shown he was getting short of arguments.

         “Not so sassy now, uh? Actually, you starting to look kind of red, maybe… take a DEEP breath, and reflect on what you’ve done.”
