SKYBEAN. hey hey, since these spread around much quicker than full graphics, could you give this a like or a reblog if you’re interested in roleplaying with an indie oc who’s force-sensitive during the original trilogy? thanks, && have a nice day!!!
I don’t know when I’ll be replying. My family just got some bad news and while I’m down af to chat, tbh I wouldn’t mind the company I don’t imagine I could write properly. I tried last night and all that stuff came out rough. So I’m here, but like lurk mode activated.
sixthspectre:
ezra nods reluctantly, because ahsoka is right. he doesn’t want to agree with her, but she is right–he nearly lost kanan, && look where that had led him.
“ you’re right. ” he says after a reluctant minute, the words barely escaping heavy lips. “ but how do i try to let things go? ”
“On that front, I’m not going to be the greatest help...I did lose everything and had to fight to figure out how to handle it.” She wanted better for Ezra.
“I...suppose I worry about losing the Ghost and everyone inside it. I picture how I could lose you all, over and over, until the horror of it subsides a little. That is a hard path Ezra...what I would recommend is talk to Kanan.” He was the Jedi after all.
ofskvwalkcr:
SHE WAS LEAVING HIM. again? he couldn’t understand what she meant, why she was in such a hurry to leave, why her force signature felt slightly different than he remembered, why she was looking at him like that. most of all, anakin couldn’t understand why she seemed unwilling to spare him a moment — he hadn’t seen her in so long! was she still upset about what had happened? did she hold him accountable? “war effort?” he repeated, mind frazzled, heart aching. could it not wait a moment for anakin to embrace his former padawan once more, at least? he wasn’t sure what he could say to keep her company a while longer. “let me help you.”
her hands on his shoulders — force, she really was quite taller than he would’ve expected in such a short time — felt so final, and anakin felt like they were reinacting a moment long past; a moment in which ahsoka, betrayed, had turned her back on the jedi. on him. please don’t go. “don’t leave again,” anakin found himself pleading, his own hands on her shoulders in a firmer grip than necessary. he wanted to trust her — did trust her, and yet fear of losing her again constricted around him like a vice grip. “what do you need? i’ll help you, i’ll come with you — whatever you need; snips, just — don’t leave. please.”
His begging hurt worse than she had anticipated, tears stung her eyes as she tried to focus. Blinking them back she knew she hadn’t hidden them from Anakin, but all the same, she was forced to look away. “Master...you don’t know what you’re offering. I...I’m in a position to prevent a tragedy.”
A tragedy of the most cinematic caliber. Should she fail nothing would be the same. Trying to scramble a plan together she finally looked back at him, smiling. The Fulcrum would succeed where Ahsoka failed. “Come on Skyguy, I need you here. Keeping Obi-Wan out of my hair.”
Not that she had hair, but humans liked the expression well enough. Feeling stronger by the moment her smile warmed. Stepping closer to Anakin she let a small amount of mirth fill their space. “He’d be very grumpy if he found out I was running around. I promise this isn’t goodbye...”
Please fall for it.

Wait, had he made a mistake admitting his faults to her? Disappointment colours his cheeks a floral pink, bright eyes blinking in shock of hearing his own flaws so easily relayed back to him. She was right. Who was he kidding himself? What good was an unpredictable Jedi with a temper? Perhaps it was better for everyone if he was rejected from the Order…
Spiralling thoughts die to the sound of durasteel clanking against the solid floor, his gaze focusing instantly on Ahsoka. Shock overcomes his features, his mouth forming a small ‘o’ in response, unable to find the words to express the shuddering joy which suddenly filled him. At first, all he could do was nod helplessly until finally, breath returned to his lungs and he could speak once more.
❛ Yes, yes! Please, thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you for giving me a chance. I won’t let you down, I promise, ❜ nervous energy makes his fingers dance, giving up on trying to control himself and lunging forward to wrap his arms around Ahsoka instead. Tears welled in his eyes, trying to blink them back before she noticed. ❛ Thank you for believing in me, Master. ❜
Laughing softly as Obi-Wan embraced her. Younglings often gathered around her, the youngest among them sometimes asking to be carried or played with, but she’d never been hugged by one before. Perhaps Padawan’s were different?
Quickly she wrapped her arms around him firmly, holding him close for a moment. While she couldn’t see his tears, she could feel the crashing waves of emotion inside him. Doctrine would encourage her to tell him to calm himself, but she’d never been one to listen. Instead, she simply let him experience it for as long as he wished.
With mirth in her voice, she finally spoke, a firm hand rubbing circles onto his back as he did. “What? Did you assume I would turn you away? I told the council I was taking you last night.”
onlyhopc:
Obi-Wan pauses, teeth anxiously brushing over his lower lip. He had a chance. She was looking for a padawan. He just needed to be careful, show her how definitely deserved the chance… if only he believed as much. As a youngling, he had never questioned that one day he would become a Jedi, but as he grew older and those around him found their masters… he worried that his fate was something far different from what he had dreamed.
❛ I want to help people. I know I could help people if only I was given a chance, ❜ he glances back over his shoulder, a floor-to-ceiling window giving them a view over the Galactic City. He sighed, shaking his head before meeting her eye again. ❛ I have never been off Coruscant. Well, not that I can remember. I have spent so long researching planets around the Republic and beyond, and never been able to see them. The Force made me the way I am for a reason, and that reason’s not to be a farmer stuck on some distant planet for the rest of my life. I don’t know if that’s what makes me special but… it’s true. Even if the Order sent me away, I will never rest until I make a difference in the universe. ❜
It was the best he could manage. It was raw and true if only slightly tided up for Ahsoka’s ears. He didn’t include how he craved to see natural wildlife, how a beach sounded like a miracle, how he wanted to explore and learn. Learn all he could about the universe and those who lived within it.
❛ It’s not pity, Master. But I know if the Order sends me away to the Agricorps what I can do to help is severely limited. I want to be a Jedi, ❜ clear, blue eyes tinged with deep determination. Swallowing deeply, fists curling by his side. ❛ Other masters see me as too angry, too unpredictable to be trained. But I assure you there is no youngling in this Temple as determined as I am, or as passionate about helping in any way I can. ❜
“I see.” Nodding calmly Ahsoka forced herself to stop, to take him in objectively. She’d told Master Yoda that she would take Obi-Wan, and she would stand by her word, but for the first time since she had, she saw Obi-Wan as he was. “You are unpredictable, and you’ve got one hell of a temper. I’ve seen you spar with your fellow younglings...”
Namely his latest match with Bruck Chun, a worrying sight to behold. There was much work that needed to be done, but Force willing they’d have the time. “Very well, Obi-Wan.”
In his desperation for a Master, Ahsoka had wondered if Obi-Wan forgot that he could reject a Master if he saw fit. So desperate to have one she wondered if he put any thought into who may accept him. Kneeling slowly, her durasteel kneepads offering a soft clink against the stone flooring, she let Obi-Wan look her in the eye on equal footing. “I will train you if you’ll have me. It will not be an easy path, nor will it be safe at times. Padawan or no my work must continue. You will be pushed farther than you can imagine right now...but you’ll make a difference.”
onlyhopc:
Obi-Wan had to look up to her now, and the fatherly instinct within him wanted to weep at how much she’s grown since the last time they had seen one another. She was an adult now, and he’d missed everything. He smiled, yet his vision blurred with the weight of unshed tears.
❛ I thought I would never see you again, ❜ disbelief rocked his tone, making a mental note to thank Bail for this moment. For bringing them together again. It seemed in this universe of pain there was still some happiness to be found. Ahsoka had once been like a daughter to him, and while he would never have the privilege of that relationship again… at least he could rejoice in the fact that despite him, she had flourished. The shaking fingers reached out in his direction curved back to clamp over his mouth, catching the sob threatening to rise in his throat. It burned. Eyes squeezed shut, taking a deep wracking breath.
❛ I survived Order 66, I returned to the Temple afterwards… ❜ he trailed off, not wanting to go any further than that. Not wanting to delve into the past, the bond to his worst nightmare which brought him nothing but pulsing pain. ❛ I was with Senator Amidala when she died. ❜
The Death of the Senator didn’t come as a surprise, Bail had already explained. She knew about the lost child, a story she didn’t believe, and she knew of Palpatine’s deceit. There was only one secret left that she wasn’t made privy to. Her voice was thick when she spoke, rapidly blinking back tears as she did. “And...what about Master Skywalker?”
She was helpless to stop the shake in her hand, settling for gripping her own forearms to steady herself. Every lesson she absorbed as a child about letting go of tumultuous emotions seemed far from her mind as she rode it out. Already she was building her defenses again. No matter what Obi-Wan was going to say she knew she’d have to accept it with caution.
As she took in her tired master and friend a realization washed over her forcing a stray tear to streak down her cheek only to be brushed away just as quickly. When did they drift so far apart that she saw him as unreliable? Why had she come to expect dishonesty or dismissal?
What happened to them?
onlyhopc:
Crystalline eyes widened a little in surprise, not having prepared himself to be interviewed for the position of Ahsoka’s padawan. Desperation almost compelled him to reply with a simple ‘everything’, but such arrogance would be unbecoming and untrue. Really, he would offer her whatever made her agree to take him on as an apprentice.
❛ I want to become a Jedi Knight one day, Master, but if nobody chooses me as their apprentice soon then I’ll… well, the Order will have no use for me, ❜ he confesses anxiously, gaze dropping to the floor and feet shuffling nervously. Already swamped by a cloak far too big for him, his slight frame appeared even more shrunken. He was scared. Scared to lose the closest thing he had to a home, to a family. ❛ I will do anything you ask. I am a quick learner and have spent a lot of time studying planets and their customs from across the Republic and beyond. My Masters think I could prove a good diplomat one day. Of course, I am efficient with a training ‘saber too. Although my… technique is perhaps not the best. I can improve though, given the right opportunity. ❜
How much had she heard about him? Was he already disregarded by her as a suitable padawan? He had heard so much about her! As soon as he heard Master Ahsoka was returning to the Temple, he had allowed himself to foolishly dream at night of becoming her padawan.
❛ Allow me to prove myself to you as a suitable padawan, Master. ❜
Quick to silence Obi-Wan’s panicked words with a casual shake of her hand and a soothing hush Ahsoka couldn’t bring herself to listen to his begging. It was cruel of her to prolong his suffering, and she knew that, but he needed to figure things out. “You want to be a Knight. That sounds more like what I can do for you, rather than what you can provide to me. You present yourself as a blank slate with little more than a few features. You sold yourself to me like a droid when what I want is a Padawan.”
That truth was openly between them now. She did indeed want a padawan and offered it to him with a clenched hand. He only needed to relax and think of her words carefully and it could, Force willing, be his. “What makes Obi-Wan special? I don’t want to hear skills or things masters have written into your file. Believe me, I’ve read them. They don’t tell me your full story though. Why should I take you?”
Bending over to be eye level with the small human Ahsoka offered a small, disarming smile. “Do you really want to be my padawan out of pity alone?”
If I opened myself to shipping with mutuals would anyone be interested?

▸▸ YOU ASKED FOR THIS. ( @firstfulcrum )
❛ …Ahsoka, ❜ the name sounds almost foreign after so many years of silence, choking his throat with memories which had ended in nothing but heartbreak. How much had happened since the last time they had met? ❛ Is… is it really you? ❜
His eyes are not failing him - at least not yet - but so many friends had fallen, and those he had left dwindled by the day. He lived a dangerous life and every day he cursed the fact that so many died and yet he still survived. It seemed the Force had something planned for him, and no matter how hard he tried to shake his destiny… it plagued him.
Shaking fingers reach out, yet he still stands a few feet away. How he wants to hug her, to pull her close and apologise for everything. But was he worthy of such a thing? He had failed her, he had turned against her. He had supported the Council over his padawan. Not a day passed when he didn’t regret that decision, or the countless others he had made thinking he was doing the ‘right’ thing.
❛ I can’t believe it’s you. ❜
Bail always kept a nice office, one she’d grown comfortable in, evident in how casually she’d leaned back in her chair. Truly feeling as if she belonged she let her guard down. For a blissful moment, she wasn’t searching around her and instead simply scrolled through the datapad in her hands.
It left her vulnerable as the door opened and in from the bright hallway walked a ghost from her former life. With a controlled hand she rested the pad on the desk before her, dimly aware she should be grateful that the shake in her hand wasn’t noticeable.
As if on autopilot she let herself speak, a sharp wit poking holes through their social distance as she gathered herself up. “Who else would it be?”
Swallowing hard she pushed the urge to ask Bail to stay aside, noting he seemed rather keen on leaving the room as promptly as he could. She had to do this alone. Standing up, noting their change in height over the last few years, Ahsoka made her way closer to him. “I thought you’d died...”
sixthspectre:
he’d fall to the dark && ezra knows this. he knows this so well, that he’d become lost in his grief. but not that he wants to admit that to ahsoka. SHE MAKES ALL THIS JEDI STUFF LOOK EASY.
“ it’s… not easy. && I DON’T KNOW IF I CAN. ”
“Nothing worth doing is ever easy Ezra.”
“I suppose no one knows exactly what they’ll do in the worst situations until they happen, but-” She’d never truly accepted this herself, but for him she’d try her best. “-you have to keep attempting to let go. You’ll struggle, but you have to keep trying.”
