“The point is not to pay back kindness but to pass it on.”

Both are important to me.
Hey, at least she tried. I was too chicken shit.
Someone do something!
How do you unflag explicit posts that are not explicit and 100% totally safe for kids?
I feel like I’m watching the fandom I love sink on Live Television. I have no words.
First the FCC eliminates Net Neutrality illegally without consulting citizens of the United States and now Tumblr is taking down Sailor Moon posts (completely disregarding these posts are not explcit at all) in a mass extinction effort with a deadline of only two weeks?
I knew Tumblr’s team of computers and human personnel would fail in their ability to truly discern inexplicit content from explicit one. I did not have faith in their ability to sift through posts and this post confirms my suspicion.
While I understand the concerns of exposure to children and the harmful effects it can have with respect to certain posts, the internet /is not/ an area that /any/ child should have unrestricted access to. That burden falls on parents.
Tumblr is shying away from liability because it cannot afford exposure in the form of suits pertaining to the proliferation or dissemination of illegal content— however, this place is merely a hub and it has been one for a great deal of many other wonderful things.
If it’s really an issue of content control, they should have the ability to flag things as NSFE allowing things to be blurred or filtered out by any user who is not of age. Beyond that, again, the parental responsibility needs to come into play.
Alternatives to Tumblr if Yahoo goes any further
Soup.io - well-known alternative to Tumblr. Reblogging, post types, themes, collab blogs, dashboard, artsy, great community already there. Soup can auto-import everything you’ve posted on Tumblr.
TypePad - Includes reblogging. Dashboard and post types similar to Tumblr.
Jux - Artful posts, beautiful blogging experience
Reblogging cause one day it just may be neccessary.
It became necessary
WordPress will also import Tumblr blogs.
i’ve gotten a lot of suggestions for pillowfort and mastodon and even newgrounds, but here are some other alternatives.
Nothing to see here. Just a helicopter Sailor Pluto.

How little they knew..
Lovely.
What a punch
This is assault and illegal. He may spew nothing but bile but his right to free speech must be protected
Ain’t nobody throwing him in prison, so his freedom of speech isn’t being violated.
Also, learn what speech is exempt from it, like, for instance, fighting words. Words that by their very utterance inflict injury, and speech that incites an immediate breach of the peace, kind of like, yknow, saying you want to exterminate all of their kind of people. Basically, talk shit get hit is 100% protected.
I swear people that yell about Freeze Peach have no idea what it means. If you provoke someone and then they act on that provication, then it’s on you, not them.
Once upon a time, there was this thing called the Civil’s Right Movement. It was a push for freedom and a fight against inequality for African Americans. They were hosed down, beaten, jailed, and even killed and yet those who did often faced zero ramifications. Their “Freedom of Speech” wasn’t protected by the Constitution. Indeed, most of them were just outright prosecuted for trying and yet they still endured.
KKK, which had historically existed to marginalize (and exterminate) African Americans and their supporters, carried out a great deal of injustices against them often with little (if any) ramifications. Law Enforcement often looked the other way and officials sought to grant the KKK soft protections or immunities despite the immoral conduct and nature of the domestic terrorist organization.
Now, almost 60 years later, white supremacy continues to prosecute and marginalize people under the banner of “freedom of speech” despite their villainous sins against the basic right for humans to exist without fear of prosecution and marginalization. Their existence is purely on the premise of hatred and naught more— yet, there are those who would call this and other such hate crimes “protected rights” thus enabling their agenda. They would purport false equivalencies of denouncing violence against these terrorists and label their actions as being “no better than the [terrorists]” despite the fundamental reason for their existence being one of violence and hate.
While inciting more violence against the violent will not resolve the issue alone, let us not forgot WW2 was not won by negotiation and passive stances against violence. Bullets, bombs, shells, and the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands military servicemen (and countless millions innocent) was our price to pay to fight against an entire nation-state of violent conspirators of terrorism.
Just a little reminder of what’s to come this year. ;D
