I think I coulda gone without knowing that information, thanks. ”  Faith sarcastically && snarkily responded, trying not to roll her eyes at the stranger. Why was she getting THIS kind of information again?  “ Am I supposed to show sympathy to that or- ”

“I don’t think fish live in pools, mate,” Cian replied with a shrug, not appreciating the insinuation that he smelled rotten “No, I don’t care what you do...I was just kind of saying it as I realized it myself...”

“I’ve been asleep at the bottom of the pool for like four days.” Cian chuckled.

“Some demigods can even fly. That’s so crazy, isn’t it? I can’t, though. Not a child of Boreas or Zeus, as far as I know. Oh, gods, isn’t that a scary thought and a half, though, Cian? Me, a child of Zeus,” Icarus raised his eyebrows in pointed exclamation. He’d never met a quite good child of the god of gods, besides maybe Cho if their friendship was having a good day. All too arrogant to look past their own heritage, probably. He’d likely take Death kids, who scared him to hell, over them, which was saying something. Icarus nodded at the others words in agreement. He found Cian loving such an unlovable subject quite cute ― not that he’d ever say it. If anyone ever asked if Icarus had a crush on Cian, he’d likely run into a wall trying to get away. “Anyone ever tell you you’re a thoughtfully guy, O’Malley?” When the other put the flower on him, he blushed a deep, deep red. “That’s… sweet.”

“Flying would be tricky...you’d have to watch out for planes and birds and everything,” Cian chuckled and gave him a gentle smile “Hey, if you were a son of Zeus, he would be lucky. You’re one of the nicest and coolest people that I know...which probably means you aren’t a Zeus kid. I don’t think we’d get on so well if you were,” Cian made a silly face “No way that I’m thoughtful...or at least don’t tell anyone, you’d ruin my rep,” He winked and gently took Icarus’ hand “But I am an amazing dancer”

“Definitely,” Icarus replied optimistically. If he was being rational he’d say that it is highly likely more people enjoy the game than they enjoy the person. “No, that’s just the point, Cian. That’s like saying, why wold you live if you’re just going to die. We, as a culture, are fascinated with Icarus — myth one, that is — because he got to fly. And, yeah, he burned up like a tragedy, but he got to fly first, and we’re all learning to be like him.” Icarus got to fuck the sun and everyone loves him for it. The unclaimed kid wished he could ever live up to that name. “Rose tea? Of course you’d enjoy something so… fruity. It is better than chamomile, though. I know people say it’s good for you, but at what kind of cost?” Icarus grinned amused at Cian, blushing lightly.

“But at what cost? Well just, the thought of flying doesn’t sound too appealing to me, honestly,” Cian didn’t like to be airborne....it freaked him out. “But I guess the thing is without risk you don’t get any reward,” He smiled and stayed close to Icarus, feeling a bit cold “I guess that’s the same thing with physics, and that’s why I love it so much,” He admitted with a chuckle “Hey, rose tea is delicious, especially with a vanilla and strawberry cake. Chamomile is nice for sleeping though, so that’s nice,” With a gentle smile, he plucked a small wildflower from the ground and tucked it behind Icarus’ ear.

Cian laughed and shook his head “Nooooo waaaaayyyy!”

“Does that mean you`re having… wet dreams?” he joked with a small grin before laughing.

“I can’t believe you just said that!” Cian laughed and shook his head “That was so lame but I loved it”

“You should be,” he said, grinning. “Isn’t Kid Icarus a video game? I’m glad I outrank it none-the-less. And definitely pleased I get past the mythical guy. What a dork, thinking he could do that. But an understandable dork.” He had a clear-shot memory of every time it had been mentioned in his classes at school. ‘Icarus,’ the teacher would say, probably followed by some spiel about love and destiny, and every single kid would crane their neck to look at him. “Most days are great for tea, but this one is certainly a bit greater. Especially in such nice company.”

“Yeah, it’s a pretty fun video game too, but yeah, you’re definitely much cooler,” Cian nodded, keeping Icarus close, as it felt quite natural and right to be near to him “Well, it’s like, what did he expect flying so close to the sun? What good is love if you just end up dead?” Cian asked as he pushed open the door to the gardens “I find this weather to be perfect for rose tea, but I’m biased because it’s my favorite” He leaned his head on Icarus’ shoulder. “I’d say I’m a pretty lucky guy to have such lovely company” He winked

“Definitely. Those studies about how teenagers` brains don`t function fully in the mornings aren`t enough.” Nine took a sip of his milk (he liked drinking coffee and milk separately). “A child of the night does not sleep at the time when he`s the most awake and powerful.”

Cian nodded “I agree with those studies though, I always think that I function better in the night or in the evening. Usually after swim practice,” Cian hummed and took another sip of the coffee “Best place to sleep though? At the bottom of a deep pool...I’m so stereotypical,” He laughed.

“You’re one of the most dramatic people I know.”

“Whaaaat, really?” Cian laughed.

“Wake up, Cian. You’re being dramatic.” Alex laughs and nudges Cian.

“Me? Dramatic? Neeever” Cian laughed a bit.

“No… no, it is fine.” Jillian knew that it was silly of her to act like this. She was eighteen years old, and had seen guys shirtless and only in their pants before at the pool and stuff. “You should actually do whatever you are comfortable with, and I mean…. you are not hurting anyone with this, are you?” @fishboycian​

“I don’t think that I”m bothering anyone, but if I am, they haven’t told me yet,” Cian said softly and shrugged, stretching out a little bit, his muscles rippling slightly “You still seem a bit bothered, though,”

“Don`t ask me. This is normally the time when I should sleep but apparently they won`t have night classes so I`ll have to die early from lack of sleep.” Nine sat across him and slid the coffee near his face. “Smell the lovely aroma of coffee. Wakey, wakey.”

Cian gratefully accepted the cup of coffee and took a big sip “Thanks, Nine. But I definitely think that it should be illegal to be awake this early,” He stretched and took another sip of coffee “What are you doing up so late?”

“Dully noted,” Icarus replied with a smile. “I’m sure you’re in the top tens of a lot of things! Like definitely the best Cian I know. Probably the best O’Malley too, but George O’Malley really gives you a run for your money.” He grabbed Cian’s arm with a smile. “Oh, you may, good sir.”

Cian chuckled “Now I’m feeling all honored. You’re definitely the top Icarus that I know. Way better than Kid Icarus, and even better than that bloke who flew too close to the sun,” Cian began to escort Icarus “Such a lovely day for tea, don’t you think?”

“It’s only nine,” Sabrina said, staring at the boy. “You should thankful you weren’t waken up at six,” She has been awake since six due to her needing to finish an essay for history. Sabrina looked at Cain with dopey eyes, her hair up in a messy ponytail.

“If someone ever woke me up at six I would literally die,” Cian looked over at her and frowned “How can you be so chipper in the morning?”

“It’s almost 10 am.” Alex laughs. “You’re just tired, as usual.”

“10 am? And I’m awake?” He reached over for a piece of bacon before slumping on Alex “Carry me back to bed”

“That’s really unfortunate. For both you, and for those surrounding you. It’s definitely in my top ten ‘crazy demigod powers,’ right alongside draining the life from people through touch,” Icarus raised conspiratorial eyebrow. “I don’t have any powers. Well, that I know of. But I can climb really well, so… hey, climbing god’s, hit me up.” He grinned dashingly. “Thanks. I wouldn’t mind a swim. But tea first?”

“Yeah, I wouldn’t recommend getting too close to me during a mood swing” Cian laughed and shrugged “Sweet, I’m finally in the top ten for something,” He stretched and offered his arm for Icarus to take if he wanted to “May I escort you, O demigod of climbing?”

Cian yawned, sitting in his boxers at the cafeteria table “Whhhyyy is it so early?” He grunted and laid his head on the table.
